    In this video I build and review the 2018 new mold Hobby Boss VK30.01(P) in 1/35th scale. Hobby Boss choce to display this tank in a "what-if" configuration together with the very early Krupp Tiger Tank turret. In truth this vehicle was never fitted with a turret and remained a test plattfrom for the VK45.01 class development, we know as Tiger tank or Ferdinand in this case. It was however compared against the Army Ordonace Department development (via. Henschel), the VK30.01(H).
    I designed a conversion kit for this vehicle and did print it to match Hobby Boss interpretation better to reality - so let me share some of the insight of making this vehicle with you.
    In the next Episode I'll paint, weather and finish it, so don't forgett to subscribe - if you like to do so of cause.

    Sehr interessanter Werdegang Deines Umbaus, des Porsche Tigers unter Verwendung neuer Teile aus dem 3D-Drucker.
    Ergebnis, sehr sehenswert und gut gelungen. Schöne Sache, Kai. Gruß Joachim

    Actually, we need 3D rendering skill today. I'm very enjoyed this video. Looking forward to the next.

      We do a lot of CAD and CAM at university here in Germany - over the last years many adapted it as a basic introduction lession in engineering.

    Very nice work, I love my 3D printer, and you obviously have experience with yours. It truly is the ultimate modelers tool

      Hi and thanks. I did print a ton of tabletop figures with it - that's where it shines, for scale modelling I hope we get proper resin printers for home use at some day. the loss of resolution due to the construction is a real downer for me : /

    • @ScaleStudioModeling

      True. You may get a little of that back if you print each piece horizontally, and not at an angle. I have found more success there. A little tweaking should render those brackets fully detailed and correct. I have done some prints for a medical device firm, and you would be surprised how powerful the photon really is. Anyways, a sanding stick always works.

      @@ScaleStudioModeling I'm well aware that 90% is about print orientation. Could have done so much more on this project since I used my benchmarked settings from my 32mm figures. I will dive deeper in my video when it comes to printing tracks. The most important part to me is: Don't get lost in Micromanagement! benchmark, print, optimize, print, optimize... will yield only the most optimized part, but never a completed project ; )

    • @ScaleStudioModeling

      Always true! 80% is usually just as good, but much quicker than 100% perfect parts. I think it’s really about experimentation

    What make is your 3D printer and how much are they?thanks i find this very interesting,there's many vehicles out there that main stream kits don't produce...

    • @Tankbrusher
      @Tankbrusher  3 роки тому +1

      Hey, that is a Anycubic Photon S (the S is important since most printers Z-Axis sucks).

    Would you ever print parts for someone for a small fee?...

    • @Tankbrusher
      @Tankbrusher  3 роки тому

      Depents if you mean "design, prepare and manufacture" or just "print a fully prepared part". First case is very easly answerd: The price for my time based on education & qualification (bottomline: I had to pay for it myself in the first place) is not interessting to private persons. 2nd case, sure printer is set up atm. That's the most honest answer I can give you : )

    • @cal-qw8ov
      @cal-qw8ov 3 роки тому

      Yes I understand what I meant by saying small fee,was in case I.R.S or trading standards came through your door with assault rifles,lol,no in all honesty I can see a niche in this stuff,and I wouldn't expect it to be done for peanuts!!.

    • @Tankbrusher
      @Tankbrusher  3 роки тому +1

      I don't need to fear the I.R.S. we have such small natural oil reserves here in Germany, our US troops are allready leaving atm ; ) Sorry, could not pass on that one... ; ) That niche is already exploided, on facebook a duzens of people selling thier designs under the hand... For my part, I do have a registrated buisness to tax my future YT and Patreon revenue and if I'm lucky it will pay for the white cardboard backdrops (2€ every other mounth) by the end of the year xD The parts I design, I throw on Patreon. Problem for most of us Nerds is CAD Software, either it is "free" and we don't own the parts we design truely or it is free and sucks. 2000€ upwords is nobody paying for a one year subscription on a industrial software and make profit out of printed parts for scale modelers only...

    • @cal-qw8ov
      @cal-qw8ov 3 роки тому

      Lol,so if I see something cool in "nuts and bolts" will you help?...and as for your oil I thought you'd already perfected that from coal...

    • @Tankbrusher
      @Tankbrusher  3 роки тому

      There is actually a region near Hannover (where HANOMAG and Continental are/where from) called Kleintexas (Little Texas) "Wietze" there still a spot you get oil out the ground when you poke it with a stick ; ) "Nuts and Bolts" sound like resource of common interesst! So yes I can see what I can do for you!
