Time to build a new scale model kit: Dragon models Flak 38 (late) in 1/35th scale. It's a lovely kit with a lot of challenging photo etch upgrade parts included.

Ein schönes beeindruckendes kleines Geschütz. Sehr gut detailliert. Der Wechsel zwischen Sekundenkleber und Lötverbindung je nach Teil passt perfekt.
Gutes Video zum Werdegang mit den entsprechenden Erläuterungen. Gut auch die Gegenüberstellung der beiden Hersteller. Rundum gelungen Kai und eine sehr gute Arbeit!

Nice! Barrels are interchangeable, kwk L/55 is shorter as far as I have read.
Aaaaaarg!........my pet hate...... photo etch! Unbelievable skills Tankbrusher! Don't show me any panzer tool clamps! I can't wait to see some more heavy German armour from you. (You should have keep the title Tankbrusher in the Gothic script just not have it flashing in my humble opinion. It looked quite cool.)
Haha - I hated PE too - now I have a smile while unpacking these nice Aber Detail sets xD Heavy Armour will be a few weeks, it's a light vehicle first - builds tend to take much longer the more they are cared for.
The hobby boss flakpanzer 38T is a stunning build if you haven't built it before I highly recommend it! Whole different ball game soldering for modeling having to be as tidy as possible eh haha I used to wire vehicles alarms and audio systems for a living that was a lot of fumes everyday haha, hobbyboss are re releasing the Old Tristar marder 3 ausf H very soon I've been waiting for that kit to come back out for about 7 months now and finally been announced! Yeah I can get a Dragon one but to be honest I'd rather wait for the ex tristar from hobby boss!
I do have the tristar marder III 7.5 ausf. H in my stash and I'm looking forward to build it this year. It's somewhat a special vehicle for me, since my grandfather commanded one and I don't want to mess up the build ; ) I kind of like thje 38(t) series not missing too many left to build. The flakpanzer i did build a italeri one - not very happy with the result. If I can get my hands on a hobby boss one, maybe i get tempted. : )

Du hast völlig recht damit, dass Löten besser ist als Sekundenkleber. Mich machen Fotoätzteile immer sehr nervös, weil ich Angst habe, sie beim Anfassen zu zerstören, also fange ich regelmäßig an zu zittern, als stünde ich mit nacktem Ar... draußen in der Eiseskälte. Ich habe in meinem Leben noch kaum einen Lötkolben benutzt, obwohl ich mir extra für PE eine Lötstation zugelegt hatte, um Niedertemperaturlöten anwenden zu können. Ich habe sogar so ein Stativ mit Krokodilklemmen, um die zu lötenden Teile festzuhalten. Trotzdem habe ich Sorge, dass ich wegen meines Tatterichs meine Finger an die Teile löte. Nun bleibt mir nichts anderes übrig, als zu üben, denn für mein aktuelles Projekt habe ich massiv viel PE eingekauft und allein die Kotflügel-Konstruktion würde mit Sekundenkleber bestimmt völlig versaut werden. Das wäre schade ums Geld. Ich kann nur meinen Hut ziehen, denn Dein Ergebnis sieht super aus.
Danke Dir. Ich hab da natürlich noch ein wenig experimentiert und zu folgendem ergebnis gekommen: Lötkolben (fein-elektronik) ist nicht das gelbe vom Ei. Einen übrig gebliebenen Ferdinand Kotflügel hab ich dann mit - wie von dir beschreiben - geklemmt, mit Lötfett eingestrichen und dünnes lötzinn angelegt. Mit der Lötlampe von Proxxon dann alles auf temperatur gebracht. für größere Teile ging das richtig gut. Kleinzeug drucke ich mittlerweile ausschließlich. 10+ PE Werkzeugklammern machen meine Nerven nicht mit, das endet meist mit nem schreikrampf xD
@@Tankbrusher Äh, ja, geht mir genauso, hahaha! Das machen Augen, Hände und Nerven nicht mit. Mit dem Löten versuche ich ein wenig herum. Ich habe auch noch einen normalen Lötkolben wie den, den Du am Anfang des Videos gezeigt hast. Ich habe ein Osprey-Buch über das StuG III und in dem gibt der Autor den Tipp, auf einem feuchten Tuch zu löten, damit die feinen Teile nicht verziehen und zerstört werden. Ich weiß nicht, ob das klappen kann, denn ohne Hitze kein Löten. Ich könnte natürlich meinen Vater löten lassen, denn der kann es sehr gut, nur ist er jetzt 80 und da will ich ihm so etwas nicht zumuten. Ich muss es also doch noch selber lernen.
Is that a weld bead or a seamline on the gun mount round the middle there? Mines don't have that so just wondering? There's alot of small parts glued on to knock off if your going to have to clean parts up next taking the spruegate tabs off and sanded and the seamlines in the trailer too there!?
Im pretty shure I got all moldlines on the Dragon one - around the center on the base frame is a weld bead. most of the real carriage is pressed sheet metal, so where you would expect to see a mold line is a weld bead in most cases. it is very fine detail. The tristar one however is full of mold seams and was not finaly cleaned up yet. I'll take photographs before painting it, makeing sure it is well cleaned up.
I do like Trumpeters Flaks there detail in them is just fantastic there flak 37 I done with all the PE is stunning! There very good at there weapons moulds I have noticed but there newer stuff is brilliant there Brem 1 was beautiful the detail and moulds was as good as meng definitely upped there game! But there older flaks are really nice think that sheild was the first I solidered! The rear brackets were a night mare haha! Great work on this though!

I've just thought, would you be able to.3D print the shield and gun cage?
Shield yes, but not in true scale thickness 1/35th of 6mm would place me at 0.17mm - a challange, it would warp and later crack. Got new resins on the way as well as a phrozen sonic mini 4k (35micron pixel ptich instead of 47micron on the photon s), maybe we can find out in the future. Gun Cage? Can you please help me finding the part - I'm a bit lost trying to translate it? : )
