Thanks Adam, almost finished still not sure about that muzzle brake. Doing the VK45.02(P)s parallel, one grey and one based of original color photos: grey shining through the heat resistent lacquer paint, pure grey looks best unfortunatly on these models...

Hey, E Series is within my theme of cause. Although I have none of them in my stash atm. When I come around doing one, it will based on pre-internet literature, there is very little actuall substance behind many of these vehicles - once "story telling" & gameing industry is out of the equation... A Panther II is something I'll look into, as well as a G13 Jagdpanzer & E100. I've planed for a lot more (acuratly build) Tigers in 2021, don't know if a Tiger III would fit in there.
@@hotbacon1107 I'm atm not aware of a kit existing building a VK30.01(D) - should be (DB) for Daimler Benz or am I mixing something up? Development of these other VK30.01 was holded very early, Spielberger didn't write a lot about it. Panzer Tracts and Abt. 502 have no information about it either?! Panther however I'll go VK3002DB, T34, V1 in one longer series - only three Ausf. Ds are fixed in 2021 so far.
@@Tankbrusher I am talking about the prototype vehicle designed by Daimler Benz that competed against MAN's prototype that went on to become Panzerkampfwagen V Panther. Sorry, I'm not so sure on the designation since I'm getting lots of conflicting information online! Some articles state it is VK30.01(D) while Wikipedia says it is VK 3002(DB). Other than my confusion on the vehicle's proper designation, I'm really glad that your channel features a lot on prototype vehicles, it's nice change of pace from other channels.
@@hotbacon1107 Simplyfied the VK30.01s were more general developments - the VK30.02(DB) and MAN(?) were leading into the panther. Amusing Hobby has a VK30.02(DB) I was having a look into.
That's easy to answer in detail: v1-v3 were made from mild steel -> never seen combat. at least v2 was in Haustenbeck testing ground captures in '45. There were 50 chassis mounting the "initial" turret before the "series" turret was introduced. they all were used in combat, but maybe a few were held back for testing. It's hard to not use the "Porsche Turret" or "Henschel Turret" term since both terms are used wrong both turrets were designed by Krupp independently from the chassis by Army Ordonace Department (HWA, you may call them Henschel) and Porsche.

I see, yeah they were issued it was a design change within the maybe the first ten of these 50.
