The composer for this game literally woke up one day and decided to drop 🔥🔥🔥
If theres one thing japan do best its soundtracks 🤷♂️
@Awakened Goy cringe
@@apathy2454 ^^^ what this guy said
Dropping that Sacred Fire
The composer for this game has been dropping fire since red and green. He moved on to direction and producing the games now, but still composes some themes even in the new stuff
“Yeah it’s a park theme just make whatever”
The composer: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
i wish pokémon was still this special
It is, you just lost heart
@@samuelohare6884 no way
@@samuelohare6884this is a once in a life time event kids today ain’t touching a ds
While I personally prefer the older games think about the young kids discovering pokemon and feeling the same wonder you did when you were younger
Pokemon fell off starting gen 3
when i was younger i always wondered why so many songs in this game were so sad and melancholy. coming back to them now just makes me hurt of nostalgia even more.
@@ZakZwaldthat’s a great insight. I think also to add on, the theme of this region seemed to be focusing a lot on old legends and old times, so a more nostalgic, melancholy feel really fits it I think.
As a kid I was too impatient to stay in the national park any longer than needed, so I never fully noticed this beautiful music.
Now, much older, I come back to this regularly to fully appreciate it and dwell in warm nostalgia.

Beautiful.. now I see…
not only do you have the correct opinion, you also have a based pfp

HeartGold was my first Pokémon game, my older brother had SoulSilver. This brings so many memories back of him teaching me how to play. Thank you for this.
Pls never forget about Pokémon am 26 year old and no matter my age I will always love this games ❤️
You startet not with gold, but with literally a diammond. The best Pokémon game ever. Please, play the older ones too, specially Yellow and Crystal.
Damn that's cute
it was my older brother who had heartgold, and me who had soulsilver. they were both our first pokemon games
for me it was the opposite. I had soulsilver and my brother had heartgold. i stopped playing pokémon games after sun and moon, but i recently replayed this masterpiece (platinum and white as well), and i never truly realize how much passion and “heart” really went into these games. it truly stands the test of time as one of the best games ever made!
Its like a song about your journey. The beginning being you at your home and early routes and 1:20 being you traveling around with a strong team, like things will get better. I love it.
bro stop saying shit when you have no clue what the fuck you're spouting.
I Will travel across the lands
Imagine a nostalgic place from your childhood (maybe your old neighborhood where you and some kids would assemble at one house to play nintendo 64 or pokemon, your local amusement park where your parents would drop you off with a pocket full of quarters to play games, or even that old sandlot baseball field where you and the some kids would hang out after school.), now close yours eyes, picture this setting in a sunset, the mysteries, joys, and inhibitions of youthful naivety fully explored and fulfilled. Now open your eyes, let your memories flow down the river, sad, but forgotten.

I've been dealing with the grief of the death of my grandpa for almost 4 months now, for some reason this has been popping into my head without me listening to it for possibly over a year. I've been crying to it on and off for almost 30 minutes 😮💨
I know how it feels, i've lost my grandpa too and he was almost a father to me. There's no way to dare the nature and It's part of life to learn this and grow around that fact, probably nothing that anybody tell you is going to really matter now, nothing is going to get any better, but YOU will get better.
Also remember that nothing in your love for him will change, ever, in life or death, and much less his love for you, and hope you get better mate. My condolences.
a gem, the musical effort put into some of these underrated ds games
and why is this comment underrated
pokemon is a lot of things but its definetly not underrated
Neither does HG/SS
Hggs is really good but it isn't underrated, a lot of people love it
They're anything but underrated
That piano opener is on another world of masterful.
I don't know if it's the DS sound chip or if it was Masuda/Ichinose's compositions but the main line of DS Pokemon games had some of the most beautiful music in the franchise to date. And that's not even considering Pokemon Mystery Dungeon's soundtrack also on the DS.
Eterna Forest, Route 209, National Park, Jubilife City, etc.
One of the best tracks in all of Pokemon. I hope this upload stays up...
Only the first 20 seconds are good

The DS era of Pokémon was absolutely amazing. DPPT, HGSS, Black and White and their sequels, just top tier Pokemon. Heart Gold was my first Pokemon game so every soundtrack feels so unbelievably nostalgic… I love it.
Same except mine was soul silver
This area alone could justify the existence of a Let’s Go game for Johto. It’s literally perfect for the bug catching contest.
I know this will probably get lost in the sea of other comments, however this song means so much to me. The very first Pokémon game I ever played, and by extension, one of the very first video games I ever played, was Pokémon Soul Silver. Back when I was just a stupid little 7 year old that barely knew how to read, I just kinda waltzed around aimlessly and still enjoyed the game for what it was.
I turned 18 last week. It breaks my heart and almost makes me cry knowing I’m never going to experience the joy of being a kid again. God, this game’s as old as I am, haha. And even still, to this day this is one of, if not THE most important video games of my entire life. I wish I could play it for the first time again.
I wish I could be a kid again.
i fell the same, the difference is that im 22 and next year im going to finish university and start working and do things that adults do, its sad remembering me with 9 years old playing Pokemon all day, beautiful memories
I'm slightly older than you are, and I'm drunk tonight. Never be sad for never being able to be a kid again, be proud of the great adult you became and live the life your younger self would have imagined for you. You have great things in front of you, never give up!
My first time playing this game (I just started) I freaking walked around national park so I could listen to this.
Damn thank you for this....I haven't played HG in 12 years as a 14 year old....the music never gets old.....music is timeless and memorable....I remember when this came out and bought it in a Sam's club....
You're welcome! I bought HeartGold from BestBuy and SoulSilver from Gamestop on release weekend.
@@7GamerMinutes been listening to your channel for years by the way....your channel is like a time machine that when I listen takes me back to simpler times back then...
...you got a Ds when you were 2?
@@KamawnTH no I meant to say I last played it as a 14 year old....
@@7GamerMinutesbro I bought HeartGold for $3 in a goodwill bin with the statue and pokewalker in new condition LMAO. Best $3 I ever spent 😭😭😭
One of the most beautiful tracks I’ve ever heard in a Pokémon game. Pure euphoria.
This is literally the best Pokemon OST in existence. Including Gen 9's ost, there is not a single ost that has more heart, more passion, more power, more nostalgia, more love, more emotion, more ANYTHING into it than this song. It's weird that a random one-off national park has such a good song alongside it. But I love it all the same.
gen 5 wipes
Gen 9 only gets brownie points because Toby Fox worked on it lmao
This gives the feeling of a warm spring day in the park. The sun is gently shining, the wind is blowing calmly, the flowers and cherry trees are beginning to bloom. There are families playing on the playground, a jogger is trying to get his steps in, a mother pushes a stroller and everything is calm and peaceful in the world.
I got too much nostalgia for this soundtrack. I dont miss "the good old days" like other people do. However, reminding me of the beautiful and simple moments in my childhood like visiting the national park in SoulSilver makes me cry a little on the inside, its a good cry.
same..
it's timeless
I'm so happy that this game was part of my childhood, definitely the best pokémon remake of all time.
Probably the best song of this entire game. It's memorable and touching
I'm a og pokemon player and I have to say this is top tier remastering
Reminds me of when I got out of 7th grade and ran to the Kmart that was close to school. Bought both heart gold and soul silver. I was so happy walking home and looking at the boxes.
Wish I could of cherish that moment a bit more. Miss those careless days
Literally would get off the bike, walk, talk to my quilava, and just enjoy this tune that's so Serene and graceful 😌
I didn't even evolve my Quilava
Good lord. Years later and it still encapsulates me in an air of harmony and warmth. I love this track so much.
Why is gen 2 music so perfect? When I'm playing Heart Golden, I stay in National Park just to hear the music, maybe it's my favourite pokemon music. I finished the game for the first time in the start of 2022, and I think when I came here in some years in future, I'll be so nostalgic hearing this again.. I think I'll play the game again.
Tbh the one in the originals is even better. Some tracks are notably worsened with the addition of additional instruments (not this one).
To be fair, the HGSS musics sound very nice and has a close feel to Unova music. But the games gameplay isnt great so whatever. The starters dont have a great moveset, the worst being Totodile line. Learns 3 water type moves though level up. There arent many great grass types and fire types, with fire type having little to no pokemon, and one has trade evolution. The stones are seriously hard to get if you dont have the patience for pokéathlon. The best water type may just be Lapras, the best early grass type would most likely be exeggcute.
@@uae2992yeah I agree HGSS some great taste, I really prefer original GBC more due to manga character of Gold and Kris more fitting originally instead this game was Ethan and Lyra more like came from Diamond and Pearl anime. It should have kept original manga character in this game
1:20 and on is my favorite part, its so good
I miss 2010 so much. ; _ ; simpler times.
This song reminds me of when I used to go camping as a boy, and would bring my GBA and copy of leaf green. I had wished so badly that I would find a bulbasaur one day, I would wake up and it would all be real. I love Pokémon and it will always remind me of a kid and my family.
My Heart Gold Heracross, one of my favorite companions was in my Pokewalker. I put him there nearly 9 years ago, but I had lost all my old consoles/games in a storage locker. Recently, I was finally able to reunite with my Heracross, and retrieve him from his 9 year walk.
Oh man I love this song. You the best 7GM.
Nice, what a chill music
*half time of the song*
Oh Damn! This is FIRE!
It's almost been 13 years! I didn't know then, but it became a music that symbolizes my childhood. I miss my partner Fearow..lol I think all the songs on HGSS remain as deeper memories than I thought. I've played almost every game in the franchise, but.. It's by far the best remake and a well-made game throughout the series.
I usually not a guy who pays much attention to music in game but the moment I stepped into national park I fell in love with this to the point where I would just go and stand around there just to listen to this Music
this song always made me feel nostalgic. even more now

Imagine if years down the road, they started making live action pokemon films that were faithful to the games, and this theme was used in the trailer for a gen 2 movie
They didn’t need to go nearly as hard as they did for this theme, it’s so good
1:49 from here, the nostalgia comes and hits me like a god damn truck.
playing pokemmo rn and sobbing holy shit. im so happy i get to be a 20 year old bonding over pokemon with my friends i was always scared that opportunity missed me but it hasn't im so thankful for the friends i have they fucking love me fuck
Every single piece of music from this OST is super awesome. Like no words can describe my hype of finding out my childhood game getting a remake and then getting this game by my own hard earned money from Gamestop and popping it in my DS. Super magical, man. The National Park theme basically explains all that feeling for me.
Go Ichinose? more like GOAT Ichinose
i always liked to position my pokemon next to my trainer and just listen to this music as a kid.
This song means more and more to me as I get older
Never really liked it as a kid tho until I heard the part with the guitars
But now that I'm an adult holy shit does this song make me cry

I was so happy about them remaking GSC. Waited impatiently for it to be released. I played Pokémon since Gen I but it was Gen II and Gen IV's HGSS which truly shone in ny heart.
No matter how old you were when you started, no matter which generation was your first, no matter what you think of the franchise today….
Someone asks you what Pokémon means to you, and you WILL think of this first.
After beating Red I walked each of my 6 Pokémon 1 lap around the National Park Pokeball walkway. I love it ❤❤❤
The first 15 seconds are insane
I've never played this game, but this song in particular enchants me...
There really is nothing like a long walk though a national park... Go Ichinose understands this majestically.
This is so good
I feel like for fire red and leaf green, heartgold and soulsilver, they are the best remakes. Fr&lg adds so much like the sevii islands and a proper national dex (unlike today). Hg&ss remaster both regions, and go step further fully fleshing out both regions. Gamefreak should take notes on these works for the next remake which I think will be Johto one.
I prefer remake FireRed and LeafGreen more than this game. This remake should have been on Game Boy Advance
Time to buy soul silver to play through the game all over again. Gotta keep my OG heart gold save pure 🧡
This isn't a game.
It's a work of art.
An experience
it's a soul*
@@snazsnazi9853 one could say they poured their Heart and soul into this game🤭

The song sounds so sad, yet it sounds so hopeful at the same time.
this song got me fucked up i wont even lie

I’ve been trying to find the name to this song for what feels like ages. FINALLY
Amazing, I always come back to those moment and it makes me nostalgic and happy. The journey I made is spectacular, and Pokemon is really a nice memory of my life.
I always took a lot time to get up from bed, after 15 years I fixed it by waking up to Pokémon OST
It's fun because I feel I have a different perspective than most comments. I grew up playing red/blue/yellow then gold/silver/crystal and I never played HeartGold and SoulSilver because I couldn't afford to at the time and such so the original version is what really tugs at my nostalgia strings but this song no matter the version is just so good
Same man
I remember when I used to just sit and do god knows what here LMAO
I'm definitely gonna listen to this on repeat. It's so chill ^^'
I hadn't touch this game for four years and I'm looking forward to play this game again because of this song
I want to know what type of magic they used to make this song. It’s too damn good!!!

I really love the national park!! This song is so good. It's peaceful to listen to this while xp grinding steps for my pokemon in the daycare :) Works great for early game
as a kiddo i would actually set my ds down and just listen to this music
This track is so beautiful and a great remake of the Original track! The piano intro, the swell of instruments at the at the breakdown it's really a great testament of how they used the DS's Limited Hardware to put this all together. I really stick by what i say when i say Gen 4 Had the best music at the time and I will always come back to listen to more.
Marvelous!
Aka, the background music from HDvee’s Pokémon News videos
My favorite Pokémon game ❤❤❤
Im so personally attached with gen 2 that this made me emotional
I have a confession to make.
I write music, and I forgot that this song existed. A while later, I remembered the second half of the theme, where it goes down.
Aaaaand I stole it and wrote three songs with it.
Should I feel bad?
No.
At least I made it a little original.
atleast you said it, if you made it more original then it can be taken as just inspiration rather than stealing
i dont make music but i guess its really hard to make original songs because of how many of them are there, so its hard to not make one that looks like an off-brand version or something or straight up a copy
I need all the 3 songs NOW. lemme hear it please :-(
I remember using an Emulator to play HeartGold and I quite literally fell in love with this song when I first heard it. I'm not as obsessed as I was then, but I occasionally remember it and come by from time to time just to play this video in particular on loop when I'm gaming, cooking or doodling :'l
Wow. I forgot. It’s crazy that when they used to remake their music they actually used to make it better instead of worse. Beautiful. instead of taking everything away and making the songs feel hollow. Which is what they do now in the remakes.
Since scyther is my favorite mon, this is instantly recognizable
my favorite pokemon soul silver music
HeartGold was the first Pokemon game I ever finished (I started Platinum but didn't finish it for a looong time) and it's by far my favorite. The Switch games are pretty alright, but they just can't compare to the charm of the DS games. I'm working on White right now and I'm having an excellent time!
One of my favorite memories from HG/SS was walking around the National Park with my Eevee (I *love* Espeon and Umbreon). I spent countless hours in Goldenrod City and National Park so those songs just hit different.
WE'RE MAKIN IT OUT OF GOLDENROD WITH THIS ONE 🗣️🗣️🔥🔥❗❗🔝🔛
I heard this in a Deltarune video. When I heard it, I KNEW it was related to Pokémon…
