I'll just drop some personal story here. In elementary school (2006ish) i have a friend that lent me his GBA and NDS to play Pokemon, but we grown up separately until we meet again in the college-year, he's a saxophone player now and in the band. In 2019 i'm marrying my wife and hire his band to perform in my wedding. My wife, without telling me, have a surprise requested to the band, and out of nowhere, when me and my wife walking to the aisle, my friend, with his saxophone, playing Cianwood City music. I may not see my own face but my friends tell me that i have my happiest face at that moment.

@@daigonmocs0785 basically Nintendo doesn't like when anyone that they didn't give permission to use anything that they own, uses something that belongs to Nintendo, and that includes music. Probably several Nintendo tracks have been taken off UA-cam. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
Of all things to have stuck with me throughout the last decade, I wouldn't have expected a Nintendo music channel to be among them, especially after both BrawlBRSTMs3 and GilvaSunner getting axed in the last couple years. I guess 7 really is the lucky number!
This has to be the most relaxing music from Pokémon, ever. This song is like watching a sunset.

I love how even tho the theme is the same as ecruteak city they played them w different instruments to fit the vibes of both towns w this being chill beachside kind of tune and ecruteak having the more cool ancient Japanese feel to it

It sounded kinda sad to me in it's original 8 bit format too. I use to listen to this when I felt lonely when I was a child. It was like a musical reassurance to me. It's calming. I'm glad that for the remake, they made sure to capture it's calming and yet slightly upbeat feeling of it. This is also the perfect song to listen to after a stressful day and you're lonely or you're just staring up at the night sky.

Well, Cianwood is basically all by itself on an island. Without Fly and Surf, they'd be completely cut off from the rest of Johto.
I'd say it's more somber than sad. Like two old friends parting ways, pursuing their own futures; a bittersweet farewell.

This song is the last my DS card ever played. I can feel shivers down my spine listening to this. I've had this song stuck in my mind for years now, to hear it again is insanely nostalgic on me. I remember the entire melody somehow.
RIP my SoulSilver card, 2015 - 2018. I played the hell out of it before I lost it.

When I was in 7th grade, I had a teacher who would occasionally play this song in class (along with other video game themes). He moved away next year. Every time I listen to this song I just remember myself sitting at my desk drawing instead of working, I miss 7th grade, literally the best year of middle school.

Peak nostalgia right here. Beach themed VGM resonates a lot with me, as someone who lives close to a beach himself
I highly recommend “Starshine Beach” from Mario Galaxy 2 if that’s the case. These two games came out relatively close to one another, and there’s both an above and underwater version depending on what kind of feels you want that day.

The only thing that would make this better is if the ocean ambience was also very faintly audible in the background. Other than that, this is pretty much perfect.
La primera vez que jugué heartgold y llegué a cyanwood city, la melodía me transportó a aquella época en dónde jugando Pokémon oro me la pasaba toda la tarde escuchando esta melodía junto a la del parque nacional.
Y ahora mismo me provoca exactamente esa misma sensación.

For real though, it’s easy to say they used to be a good group of people when we were younger, but the goal of a company has always been to make as much money as possible. They didn’t change- we did.

That's okay, I feel that way about the underwater theme in Donkey Kong Country (kinda why I don't like that theme, yet everyone else does).
I can understand that. It’s somewhat indicative of the fact that you’re coming here to get Amphy’s medicine, and you need to hurry or else this Pokémon could get even more sick. Or worse. Couple that tension with the fact that Cianwood’s relatively out of the way and not much happens here anyway.
