    Hi Jack, Dan here. Wow, thanks for the sharing the vid. Really happy that you like it so much, and will make sure that Dave (designer) knows too - it was his hard work that went into redesigning the ML2. Great playing as always too!

    Hi, how would you describe sound of Chapman ML2 vs ML2 Pro vs ML3 Pro? Is the standard ML2 much warmer as ML2 Pro? What is your perspective of sound difference of ML3 Pro compared to ML2s?

    • @JackTaylorGuitars
      @JackTaylorGuitars  Рік тому

      Hey mate! Both ML2s are pretty warm sounding in comparison to the ML3 but the Pro has a fair bit more bite as a result of the pickups. I personally prefer the slightly punchier sound of the ML3 whereas the ML2s are definitely les paul-y sounding guitars. Probably a slightly more pronounced mid range. I hope that helps, cheers! 🤘

    Hey brother. Amazing video. Great chops for sure. What amp are you using for that crazy sound. Can’t be just the pickups making the guitar sound that good. Let me know. Thanks

      Hey bro, thanks so much! That means a lot, especially because that's a section of some solo music I'm putting out soon. The sounds you're hearing for guitar are Neural DSP. The lead tone is from Plini X and the rhythm guitars are the Fortin Cali Suite. Cheers man, hope that helps! 🤘

      @@JackTaylorGuitars loved the video man, just made me want one even more 😬😅 honestly we’ve got an ok selection but most stuff is massively marked up, there’s also some stuff that doesn’t drop here at all or it drops with a massive delay 😕 also seems like most non custom instruments with pro level specs are being sold less and less too, only pro Chapmans I’ve found are ML1’s or ML3’s from a few years ago, we also only had one store with the Charvel Sean Long Sig and they sold out from preorders, no Chapman ghost frets (so far at least), there’s maybe 3 Ltd dealers in the whole country and only one has a halfway decent selection (Belfield Music in Sydney), basically the only brands you can really find consistently are Gibson, Fender and PRS, it’s surprisingly hard to find good guitars for metal without paying over $2000-$3000 😕 I’ve had my sights set on the Charvel So-Cal HT for a while because it’s one of the only guitars under $2000 with good specs for modern metal, peeped a couple of Jackson’s but for something I wouldn’t want to mod immediately I’d be looking at at least $2300 😕 sorry, think I ranted enough but the video was fkn sick dude, keep up the good work 🤘 if you’re reviewing a guitar I’m interested in I’ll definitely be watching, regardless of if it’s for sale down under or not 😅😬

    Howdy buddy ! :) that's a magical looking guitar and it's cool that it has split coils too because I'm recently very fond of using split coil sounds.
    Okay a question, I know you previously were extremely postive about Strandbergs. Do Chapman guitars help with your wrists and arms ? Because I know you had some issues with your arms.
    but I know the Chapman is muuuuuuch more affordable than the Strandberg.
    Anyway , recently after playing the new Ichi 10 Ibanez I've fallen in love with that one too 😅. So I'm not allowed to own any more guitars now

      Hey dude! Thanks for checking it out man.
      So, I still love my Strandbergs a lot. In fact, they're a huge part of the reason I can play 'regular' guitars again. I still have issues and rely on my Strandbergs when I am but, for the most part, my arms are pretty good now. I wouldn't say that the Chapmans help my arms in any way but the necks are incredibly nice and I don't have any issues with them. They're just incredible guitars but they're not designed to fix anything I don't think. Cheers dude!

      @JackTaylorGuitars  Рік тому +1

      Oh and thanks dude! It's actually the main melody part from a track off the EP that I'm still working on. When it's out I'll be dropping a digital tab book and files, probably for free 👍

      @JackTaylorGuitars It's inspiring to hear you're writing your own original EP !
      I'm really excited for you and also looking forward to listening to it too! Will you be playing all the instruments and mixing it yourself? 🤔 I've tried to learn some of the riffs you wrote for other episodes and they were way too fast for my picking technique . However I'm sure I'll get to that level in the future!
      Anyway, I just wanted to let you know I'm stoked for you and regardless of if it's hugely successful( fingers crossed with how bit your channel has grown that it will get a decent amount of interest!)
      I would buy the CD if there's one or the digital album.
      It's so worthwhile to pour your heart into music. And it's so healthy for you too because you'll feel a great sense of accomplishment too 👍 :😀.

      @JackTaylorGuitars Ah I see , thanks for answering ! 😊
      I agree that Strandberg has helped me a lot. Not only does it inspire me to play music that previously was too difficult but the neck does make playing a lot easier. For me, the Fishman pickups are amazing. I really do owe it to myself to try those seymour duncan sentient and pegasus pickups. And I want to get some bare knuckle pickups in one of my guitars to totally change the sound .but 😆 for the moment I'm really happy with what I have :).
      I'm really glad you're able to play normal guitars again, too!
      That guitar looks brilliant, it sounds amazing and if it makes you want to play guitar that is what matters! Anyway I hope you're doing well, dude !! 😊

    Gotta say dude I was a bit underwhelmed by the ML3 Modern Standard and I know of others that have had a few QC issues too but it does honestly seem that these Chapman Pro models are way up there in terms of finish and playability, all you reviewers can’t be wrong? Not a huge fan of single cuts but that thing is a beauty! The string gauge looked thick! Did you change them or were they stock?
    Talking about gear it would be cool to get your spicy take on things such as your go to strings, plecs and just gear in general.
    Incredible playing and editing as always dude, that riff was killer!
    What I have tended to notice these days is almost anyone can make anything sound great in this modern era of plug ins and mixing. It would be really cool to hear a more raw sound to get a real feel of how these guitars/pick ups sound before all the processing for us consumers, not many peeps online do that and we don’t always have chance to pop into a decent store to find out for ourselves.
