Fair warning, youngbloods, after you discover telecasters you'll start dreaming of giant hollowbody gretch guitars. Doesn't make sense at the moment, but give it time, the most distant future will arrive. Awesome commentary as usual, thanks, Jack.
Omg I thought i was the only one that could absolutely NOT get over the gretsch (I don't know how to spell it) design. Especially the les paul type. It's MONSTROUS.
I am 100% with you on that. They're terrible...but I might try and get a used one for the channel just to prove myself right 😂 Thanks for watching mate 🤘
You're right,I used to hate teles, now I've one tele copy and modified to be some kind of Richie Kotzen copy... And I love it.. Warlocks were my 1st love when I was a kid in the 80s I think that I don't hate any cost shape... Just don't like active pups, but that's all
That's awesome man, it creeps up on you doesn't it haha! Tbh it's a good think if you don't hate any shape. I've got some strong opinions on guitar stuff but I'd never criticise someone for liking what they like, that's what makes us interesting! Thanks for tuning in as always bro 🤘
I love Telecasters , they are very versatile guitars. I just purchased a Michael kelley tele. With humbuckers and split coils. Love it man. Take care 👍✌️🎸🎸
T-style guitars do seem to be all the rage these days with the crunchy, djenty players - just with dual humbuckers and all blacked out instead of matte shell pink or light pale baby blue. Tele's, especial PT configs, seem to be going strong!
I'm not left-handed, but I do love the look of a lefty played regularly... So when I needed a Jazzbass, I bought a lefty Squier 🤣 It needed a setup of course, but it plays fantastic + it's immediately far more noticeable than a 10 a penny right-handed bass 😜 And to match that bass, I also found a lefty Strat! It always confuses the hell out of my left-handed musician friends, though... But it's a great excuse to say: "I've created a (deserved) bigger market for you lefties by buying 2!" 🤘😜🤘
@@JackTaylorGuitars mate, reading the Gibson fans attempting to crap on anythjng that isn’t American made is hilarious at times. It’s a gift that keeps on giving…except it wasn’t a gift…they paid…lots of Fnaaar
It's an interesting way to look at it mate 😂 Luckily, I've been with the perfect woman for the last 9 years and counting but that doesn't mean I can't look for more guitars! Thanks for watching mate 🤘
It's ok man, I've been cut to the core by some of the takes as well but we're strong enough to take it 👊 You're absolutely spot on with the Gretsch point though dude! Thanks again 🤘
Hilarious video and couldn’t agree more with some of the comments, especially about the whole ‘Murphy aged’ bullshit. I’ll play the Fenders and Gibsons I have but definitely out of the market for any new ones. Admittedly, my playing is so crap I have no business owning a nice guitar anyway!
Thank you so much my dude, I'm really glad you enjoyed it! 🤘 And dude, just as an aside, don't put your playing down if you're enjoying your guitars man. Play/buy whatever makes you happy, that's what matters 👊
Gibson gets a lot of hate, and deservedly so sometimes. However, I love my Gibson Explorers. Ive had some not so great Les Pauls in the past, but Ive never gotten a dud Explorer. They hold tuning, play fast, and feel so comfortable. I have a Solar E-type, Schecter E-1, and an ESP Snakebyte for comparison sake. The Explorers are right there with them.
Relicing a guitar and asking for a $1000 markup to be tapped with a hammer and old keys by and spend less than 2 minutes sanding the in one spot. I couldn't give a f**** about the BS "Vintage Look" and "Vintage Feel".
Schecter guitars, they have amazing specs, BUT why they have to be sooo edgy, like angty teenager edgyness. The only good looking Schecter is the Keith Merrow signature.
This is true man 😂 They do have a lot of super edgy guitars. Bat inlays, racing stripes, roman numerals. It's all there! The Merrow is great, the new Aaron Marshall is so sick too. Thanks for watching mate 🤘
The St. Vincent is probably the ugliest production guitar i have ever seen. It literally looks so close to the plank guitars people use to test tone wood.
It is a weird af guitar dude, that's for sure 😂 Although, I might be nuts, but there's a completely blacked out model and I kinda like it... Thanks for watching mate! 🤘
@@JackTaylorGuitars They are terrible guitars. They all weigh a ton, ugly as homemade sin and the string spacing really narrow. In the 80's and 90's you could hardly give them away. Hipsters saw them, thought they looked 70's retro and drove the prices through the roof.

For teles I think its the pickguard. The moment you change it to a modern design like suhr teles it really looks great.
Yeah I’m with you on that dude! Thanks for checking out the video 🤘
I like teles, but as time goes on, I find that I dont like the traditional tele pickup configuration. I need a humbucker in the bridge.
Oh yeah 100% dude. Love a tele but I can't live with the twangy single coil bridge. Thanks for watching mate! 🤘
