    Why scale is 25.5" and not standard for LP type guitars 24.75"?

    • @JackTaylorGuitars
      @JackTaylorGuitars  9 місяців тому +1

      Just because they wanted to dude! Personally, I think it's a far more useable scale length and there's no shortage of other guitars if you like shorter les pauls. It's a bit different and we needed it. Thanks for watching dude!

    Stainless frets and locking tuners are pretty standard these days

      @JackTaylorGuitars  11 місяців тому

      Thanks for commenting mate. At £400-£500 I don't think stainless and locking tuners are that common truth be told. None or very few of the 'main' brands are doing that right now, though I wish they would!

    Hi Jack! Amazing review which just felt it covered everything except for the extremely precise question I’m going to ask..
    So we know it can metal, chug etc and the clean tones sound nice. Also from experience with an ML3 traditional and a ML1 baritone, I just love Chapman necks.
    However you covered the Epiphone Prophecy Lea Paul and I grew up as a fan of Les Pauls, how does the ML2 stand up to like a traditional classic rock Les Paul kinda tone?

    • @JackTaylorGuitars

      Thanks so much mate, I'm stoked you enjoyed it! Personally, I think the ML2 can do the rock thing super well too. I don't play much of it if i'm honest! But the pickups are pretty versatile, hotter than you'd get in a trad les paul but definitely capable. Hope that helps dude and thanks again! 🤘

      I'm a very basic guitarist, probably got more money than sense, I own a Schecter Demon 6 and Matt Heafy Epiphone 6 the first 1 with the EMG's yes they sound great but they're probably too much guitar for my level, so I'm looking at something like this thinking it's a perfect guitar for my level at a ridiculous price for what you get for your money
      Actually maybe that's a good video for you, the best beginner or home guitarist/practice guitar 👍😃

      They're 2 absolutely killer guitars dude, I think you've chosen well! I'm definitely looking to do more videos about cheap but awesome guitars soon, once I've got the next few reviews out of the way, but I would say don't base your choice in guitar on what you think is appropriate for you. Buy the guitar that makes you want to play, doesn't matter the cost, because that's all that matters. Being happy with your instruments! Thanks again my dude 🤘

      @@JackTaylorGuitars you know what that's really good advice, I never looked at it from that perspective, I may do a day trip to Andertons and try out a load of guitars because I do have a budget of £1000 for a new 1 and I'm looking at the ltd ec256 and 1000 aswell, would you pay the extra money for the 1000 when the reviews for the 256 are so good ?
      I know you would but you're a musician would I notice the difference and going on the play what makes you want to play theory maybe I would
      Gotta get to a guitar store because it's ltd Vs Chapman at the moment for me

    • @JackTaylorGuitars
      @JackTaylorGuitars  3 місяці тому

      Good choices there too man! I'd be open to either of those and, depending on which one I liked more on the day, would get that one. The smart move is the ec256 but I know how good the ec1000 is so it's hard to say. However, not to throw a spanner in the works, but if you can get the Chapman ML2 Pro in your hands for the same money then you might be pleasantly surprised. I love that guitar. Hope that helps man. I think you're spot on about the ML2 shape being an acquired taste. I was very luke warm on them when I first seen them, but they have grown on me quite a lot that I now they're probably my fav from the standard range. The one thing I will say is this, that ML2 looks better in your video than it does on the Chapman website. It really pops on screen whereas on the website they tend to look a bit..dull. Thanks for the video, dude. Looking forward to the next.

    I've been following Rob for a few years now. I first discovered him like many people by watching him on Andertons videos. I'm constantly amazed by his guitar abilities. Those blindfold videos are great. My first proper amp was Rob's Victory BD1 (black version of the RD1) signature chosen specifically because it's Rob's. I just need an actual Chapman guitar now & it's a toss up between the ML2 & the Ghost Fret (I do love a pointy shape).
    Also i've watched & enjoyed a few of your videos now so here's a sub for you :)

      Too right man, he’s got some insane skills and knowledge. How are the Victory’s? I’ve never tried one cause I’m not a big amp guy really but they always sound great when I hear them.
      The Ghost Fret is sick man, I’d love to try one. I’ve got a review on the ML2 pro coming in the next few weeks but, spoilers I guess, it’s one of my favourite guitars.

    Nice demo track, mate! 🤘
    It does feel weird to look at the ML2, due to the bridge, but as someone who's had a tune-o-matic bridge collapsed (it was the cheapest Epiphone I could afford at the time, still need to fix it), I think it's a great idea to have a fixed bridge.
    There're guitars that I'm interested in procuring in the future that has tune-o-matic or similar bridges (PG's Fireman and Marty Friedman's MF-1, probably the only Jackson I'm interested in), can't say that I'm not a little hesitant, even though I can't afford them yet. 🤣

    • @JackTaylorGuitars
      @JackTaylorGuitars  Рік тому +1

      Thanks so much dude! For sure, the bridge on this is absolutely a killer choice. Makes for a make better playing experience for me, keeping my arm closer to the body etc. But totally, there are still guitars I like with a tune-o-matic. The fireman is indeed one of them haha Cheers man 🤘

      @@Nickshreds890 Marty's definitely on the top of the list of my favourite players. His solo (Tornado of Souls) was the first ever long solo, that I've attempted to learn and still haven't fully mastered it.

    • @JackTaylorGuitars
      @JackTaylorGuitars  Рік тому

      Respectfully, I think that argument is a reach considering we’ve got no idea how many instances of bad acting have happened that we have no idea about. But like, what about Dean trying to sue that dude just for owning custom guitars that look like theirs? That seems worse to me. I know KDH ‘exposed’ but but even he’s reconciled with him? Situation can’t be that bad.

    • @Nibblerr
      @Nibblerr Рік тому

      @@JackTaylorGuitars the whole Dean situation is just as bad, if not worse. Probably the latter, to be completely honest. One company doing shadier shit does not allow another to get away with theirs.

      Oh yeah for sure, what I’m saying is suggesting Rob is the biggest bully in the business probably isn’t fair.
