Starting a video with a salute and 'Hello' rather than 'Greetings' legitimately took me by surprise 😂
❤️
lol
the new headstock is a huge improvement. never liked the original but this one looks fantastic
its hands down a versatile beast, a killer guitar and a joy to own and play.
Looks and sounds fantastic! Can't wait to get my hands on one.
Wow. That is absolutely stunning. Love the head stock and the hipshots. Be proud of this one.
You all did a great job with the redesign! I'm more of an ML3 style fan (with ML1 coming in at a close second). However I may need to give one of these a go and add one to my Chapman arsenal! Stay well and Cheers o' Monkey Lord!
ML2 Pro is a perfect guitar. Dont stop. may be some additional colours and a some gloss options? SD pick-ups, stainless steel frets, locking tuners, slightly longer scale length, great access to higher frets, thinner light-weight body, ghost fret bar infinity inlay .... OMFG ... You should keep it as a legacy model. Brilliant. I want one. Very a lot!!
Congrats on the ten year mark ❣️ it!
Glorious beast indeed, much like the man whose name it wears. Great job by Dave and all my love bro, hope you’re well back home in Malta.
Much love bro :-)
My Next Purchase, So Beautiful 👍👍🎶🎶🎸
Well done sir, such a beautiful guitar. It’s on my wish list, for sure.
Yup...I want one!
This is an outstanding guitar!
Huh, The Green Godess, I'm using that one! Also, The Monkeys Lord is wearing the Gas Monkey t shirt! How epic of him.
Sounding riiiiiightous! Those pickups and that JCM800 are a beautiful pairing!
I'm so happy to see the ML2 in the spotlight again. For the longest time, the ML1, ML3 and Ghost Fret got all the love and Garrett Peters was (more or less) the only person championing the ML2. This new version is an absolute dream guitar for me
so awesome 🤘
Very nice Guitar Rob. 😉
Congrats man killer guitar
Ahh man that's a sweet guitar! Well done!
Beastie! Congrats, Rob and team.
Picked one of the blue ones up right when they became available. The looks and sounds are spectacular - great pairing w/the JCM 800.
I did ask myself why am I watching this video... I'm looking at my own ML2 River Styx right now and don't need convincing! It's mega. 👌👍😊😁
The two best British brands in the business 👍🏻👍🏻
That headstock is killer. Much better than other Chapman headsstocks, IMHO.
A traditional jr. version of this redesign would be so sick
Agreed! 👍
The ML2 Modern White Dove is, to this day, my dream guitar from the moment I saw it. I am thrilled to see the ML2 line get some love!!
I gotta get me one of those. Seriously have the hots for that guitar.
And that amazing head-stock
This is definitely my favorite of the ml2 pros. I’m interested in the Buttercream for the ml2 modern when those come out
I just got my hands on a chapman guitar.(finally!) It is an ML1 hotrod. :D
I am pretty sure my next guitar is gonna be an chapman aswell.
It is impressive!
Love.
The new marshall cooks bro!
super strat vibe a 🏆
The year is 2061, you jump down from your hover bed, another hard day working at the hydro plant ahead of you... stopping for a caffeinated dark beverage you catch a glance of her against the wall. You pause for a second, noticing the beautiful contours and luminescent inlays gently glowing... work can wait another day. Gently you pluck her from the anti-gravity stand, this vintage beauty is still a classic and always has been. Although four decades old now, the stainless steel frets haven’t tarnished at all, the bodies taken a few hits over the years, but the neck still feels creamy smooth. “Siri activate amp mode”, you hit that first chord and your room speakers chime to life, driven by that powerful Seymour Duncan Pegasus and Sentient tone that brings you home. “Man, they don’t make them like this anymore“, you reflect as you take another sip from your coffee simulator, so glad you purchased a Chapman ML2 Pro back in the 20s.
It’s so sooooo difficult to change the classic single cut shape and get something decent. I think you guys have smashed it. Can’t imagine how long it took!
Oh man. I so want that it hurts
love it bro a gratr fidle it is
I really like it and it's beautiful to see changes in this guitar compared to the previous models but I would have loved to see the pickups directly mouted into the wood without the pickup rings but that's not that big of a deal!
I love the thinner body and more ergonomic design. At first I wasn’t sure about scrapping the tune o matic bridge and 24.75 scale length, but i do think they modernize the design. Sad that a gig bag isn’t included though.
The new guitars are stunning in looks and sound amazing , immense tones from the pickups and your hands so many tones to be had from the Duncans and the pickup selector and tap knob , and that 800 sounds killer especially with the " Filth Goddess " TS-9 engaged , love it!!! Could a ML2 pro Lefty be made special order custom ??? Cheers Rob !
THANK YOU for making a LP with 25.5 scale… I was shocked when it also had the exact pickup set I want. Please tell me where in Australia I can get this thing. Preferably south aus.
Cheers mate.
I saw in other comments you hint at a 22 fret model. If this will come with 25.5 scale and the same pickups?? even better for the large handed of us.
Nice Axe Indeed
When will these be available in Europe again 🤷
Has it been 10 years already? I have to admit, compared to the original ML-2 (no. 078 here), the design has come a long way. That's 10 years of improvements. If you did a goldtop or a honey burst, I might be swooned. (I know, you did a goldtop once already)
That Marshall sounds fabu! Creamy. Smooth. Peanut buttery. Mmmm.
I like it.
I like it!
I like the redesign! Does it come in 22 frets?
Not yet 😉
If it did I would be throwing money at the screen. Haha.
I much prefer the sound of the ML1 pro hybrid. But this one looks great!
Awesome Rob! What about the U.S. dealer?
You got rid of your hairy face!!! I thought at first I was watching the wrong video Rob lol :) Makes you look younger ;)
Cheers bro, just got too hot with Malta around 38C :-)
The ML2.0
New headstock reminds me of the Kramer Assault 220 headstock
Any plans for a trem option for the ML2 Pro?
JCM800 sounds freakin' great Chappers!
Are you perhaps familiar with the Legendary Tones Hot Mod V2? It's a non invasive "idiot proof" drop in ECC83/12AX7 coupling adapter thing-a-majig that puts two preamp valves in one socket, thus adding an additional gain stage without permanent modification. Seems like a keen option to have in one's "guitarsenal" for a studio purposed JCM800 IMO.
Hope you are safe and well man.
Cheers!
Thanks Jason, sounds cool but to be honest I just want to keep this app natural without any modifications as nature intended, I always have loads of exciting pedals I can drop in the loop or in the front 🤘🏻
@@RobChappers Right on! That's a very respectable decision. A JCM800 has all the gain on tap I'd ever need personally. Twas just a suggestion. However, If that studio happens to have an AC30 and a ABY lying around? I'd be dual amping those two together faster than you can say "buttery muffins" lol!
I've recently been (digitaly) experimenting with a crunchy AC30 tone "wet" and a gained up Marshall or Dual Rect tone "dry" blended together, and once I tried it I can't stop! Haha!
Cheers Rob, and thanks for the reply: )
Hi chappers any chance you and your team could come up with a 339 size hollow bodied beast maybe p90 loaded ? Or is it just me that can’t find one .
I love that style of pickup mounting ring but I can never find them to buy to retrofit to my guitars .......
I really need to play one of your guitars. You always like the same pedal as me, so I’d probably love your guitars.
Do you have a dealer you recommend in Los Angeles? I’m in Hollywood recording & “living” at the moment.
Hi dude AMS, Zzounds and Musicians friend all have them
Im interested. Lefty model available?
This guitar looks really wonderful. I'm not really sure if I like the humbucker in the neck position. For my taste I would prefer the Polymath from Bare Knuckle... But I have to hold this guitar in my hands and I must feel the guitar to come to a decision. Is Chapman Guitars on the Guitar Summit in Mannheim this year? I would really like to play this guitar.
Just saw one of your guitars in the movie "The Big Ugly".
Hello Rob, will there be a Ghost Fret Mark 2? :)
Yes sir
It looks sort of like an unfinished PRS headstock, and I don't mean that as an insult. It looks cool.
yet it has stainless steel frets....
something Paul refuses to build
Have you ever tried any of the KHDK pedals? If so are there any in particular you like?
Please. One of your guitars with a sustainiac.
Greeds from germany
I’d love that, if enough people request or vote for it then that would be exciting… when I was recording the Monkey Lord EP, I just played as if I had one and interestingly it made a big difference :-)
Sweet Axe at a sane price.
I also like the strap you're using. Nice fat Ernie. What model is it? Thought I could only afford the strap until I checked the price. The pair will make a nice add.
I would love to buy one of these if it had 22 frets
That looks goood I am scared of how much that costs xD
rob scallon's signature probably had the best looking headstock.
this one looks a lot like my hairstyle, and i don't like my hairstyle.
Any chances of a 'standard', or 'non-pro' version in the future?
Absolutely!! 😉
What amp and attenuator are you using?
I'm quite sure the former ML2 had a real neck through, at least the more exspensive one. Is it savings that had its way.
Is this guitar available in 🇺🇸?
Yes sir
@@RobChappers Awesome 👌 Rob! This River Styx is on my "next guitar to get" list 👍🏻
i think i hear a flash flood rif in thare lol
i want to buy a PRO series in Indonesia but no distirbutor sell it😢
Request? Race with the devil
Al dimiola. 197?
Why don't people talk about nut width anymore? It's important to me.
Looks very PRS tremonti signature
whats the price ????
In the UK they are 1K
Would love one but...When will you ship them with either gig bags or cases?
Hey if ya ever wanna play some rocknroll let me know. Best to ya
Make an sg shape that is truelly mirrored none of this off set stuff. And if it plays great I’ll buy it. And use it.
Will Chapman ever make lefties again...... or should we just move on....... we're used to it
He looks like Postman Pat
Where is my fcng NORSEMAAAAAAAN!?!!!???
Just to be an idiot, it would look so much better without pickup rings... other than that it looks great
Normally don't like the design of Chapman guitars, I'm left handed and upside down headstocks , to me , look terrible, younger years of zero guitar choice. But this guitar. Looks goodgood, a bit PRS ish maybe,
Your telling me it’s been 10 years since you brought the ml2 prototype to monkey fest? Guess I’m getting old 😬
Yes dude… crazy huh!! 😝
no inlays ? not for me.
wish it came with a lighter color like natural or sunburst
Also available in Azure Blue 🙏
@@RobChappers like you Rob i think imma get the river Styx black
PRS
‘Lovingly hand CNC’ed’. What is that supposed to mean? A CNC will take your hand clean off. Do you mean the top carve is done on a CNC then hand finished?
‘Hand CNC’ed’ is pretty dishonest
Sorry I think you misunderstood the British humour… in England we normally talk passionately about things that are “lovingly handmade”, this is mainly carved by a CNC machine so the joke was that it is lovingly carved by a CNC machine.
Locking tuners on a fixed bridge guitar is like putting a screen door on a submarine.
But it’s so dam ugly
