Good luck in the turkey woods! Getting ready for my first VA gobbler season
Awesome profile pic man. Wishing you the best!
Thanks for the video, great info for someone new to turkey hunting like me.
Awesome!!! Glad you enjoyed it
Great tips
Thanks man
When exactly is early, mid and late season though?
Spring season ends here May 19th. but I plan on going out this weekend 4/27.
I have my eyes set on a massive Tom that frequents the same cove every morning, I just have to lure him closer.
Thanks!
It really depends on your climate. Look up your state’s turkey breeding season, they divide it in thirds. That’s how you can get early, middle, and late seasons
@@SCTraditions Ohh completely makes sense now!
Ok, I've got the Red Head combo Gen 2 remote control, and I have the Primos Jake you have pictured in your video. That decoy will also accept the Gen 2 remote motor.
I have two Flextone hens in different poses, but I intend to start with the Red Head combo (Jake has a real fan given to me for that purpose) alone.
We'll see?
Sending you the best of luck!
@@SCTraditions Thanks for that!
Awesome video mate 💪🏻 probably a silly question but how popular is pheasant hunting in the states?
Very popular out west around Nebraska, Kansas, etc. In my state, however, not at all. It’s too hot and hilly for the birds
@@SCTraditions that makes sense here in the uk they probably one of if not the most popular thing to hunt so just wondering I'd they where a popular for hunting across the pond too
It’s definitely a bucket list hunt for me though
To answer your question...Pheasant hunting hugely popular, especially in the Mid-Western to Western states.
But not in the sense of drivers pushing birds toward shooting stations, but folk and dogs walking the cover to flush birds on their own.
Another trick if you can have the hand face in your direction the time will move around in front of her fan heading your movement as you raise your gun
I’ll take note of that
When is it considered mid season
Mid April or so
I’ve had instances where the decoys actually repelled the gobbler n his women. It apparently wasn’t his first rodeo.
They have a pea size brain but they are smart
When’s turkey season for you
My zone in SC starts March 22 and ends April 30
Cool
I live in a Western state. Our Spring hunt goes April 15 - May 25 on average.
We can kill two bearded Turkey's during the Spring season.
But our Fall general season is August 30th - November 30, and the limit is a real doozy. The daily limit is the number of tags you have in your possession each day of the season. In other words, if you bought 10 tags each day for the 90 day season in my area you could theoretically kill 900 either sex Turkey's in the Fall hunt!
Wow, must be a lot of birds

State regs,
Daily Bag and Season Limits
Daily Bag Limit: The maximum number of turkeys that may be
legally taken by any one (1) person during a calendar day:
• During spring seasons the daily bag limit is two (2) male
turkeys. A legal turkey is a male turkey or a turkey with a
visible beard.
• During fall seasons the daily bag limit is equal to the number
of valid tags possessed. Either sex turkeys may be taken during
fall seasons.
Season Limit: The maximum number of turkeys that may be
legally taken by any one (1) person during a season:
• During spring seasons only two (2) male turkeys may be taken
using a general or controlled hunt tag before May 26. A legal
turkey is a male turkey or a turkey with a visible beard.
• During fall seasons a hunter may harvest as many turkeys for
which they have legal tags in that calendar year.
• Note: Any tags purchased and filled during the
January 1-31 season will count against the tags available
for subsequent spring and fall seasons within the same
calendar year.
Gotta be careful to not throw out your shoulder when you shoot that turkey load. 😅
Suckers kick back. And don’t worry, shout out coming in the next video
@Immarshall So the video I was going to give you a shoutout in has been having troubles. So it won’t be in the next video but it will be in the one after that!!!
@@SCTraditions Oh ok its alright 👍
Arsenal of turkeys 😏
You know it
Mississippi is the 14th Arkansas is terrible it’s not til mid April
Dang, that stinks

Awesome, thanks
