The MX Mechanical Mini is somewhat similar to my Keychron K3. Low profile boards are somewhat weird IMO. They can be quite lovely to type on as I like using a lighter touch than a traditional mechanical board, and it's more tactile/satisfying than a membrane or rubber dome board. But sometimes my fingers get tired of it (I have blue/clicky switches). It's almost like sometimes when they get tired, they become not fine-tuned enough to keep that light touch while overcoming the tactile bump, and I start bottoming out too harshly, which isn't very nice... This is why you should be wary of getting the blues switches (which I have). They are satisying to use when you master it, but they are quite a challenge to adapt to, and not the best for endurance.
I have the Kychron K3 with brown tactile switches and love it! I think the color scheme of the MX Mechanical Mini may be a little bit TOO similiar to the K3, if you know what I mean... All my other peripherals are from logitech (G305 mouse and G Pro X headset), but I think I'm gonna stick with the K3, as it is a little bit more sleek and a lot cheaper.
@@pedrojorge2741 i have tried the keychron low profile and the keycaps feel a bit mushy. they kinda womble compared to logitechs who feels more sturdy and typing feels more direct.
In case anyone was still wondering, the rubber they used on the 3s seem to be the same as the one on the 3 according to another reviewer. So looks like we're SOL on the material quality.
This kb looks great! While I generally prefer mechanical keys, especially blue clicky style, I've grown fond of how quiet butterfly switches are. Really happy with the non mechanical mx mini, it's responsive enough to feel almost like a brown tactile switch but with more of a thump feel/sound rather than tap.

I just bought the MX master 3s! Clicks are so sileeeeeenttttt! I also bought a Blue MX Mechanical keyboard, clicks are so si.....oh well, ok......but I have a more silent mouse click!! They should be totally @#@**# In Logitech to make as a selling advertisement a awfully mushy buttons on a mouse just to have them silent, when you also sell Mechanical keyboards that are NOT silent, even the linear ones when you bottom down. Honestly I would never suggest the upgrade to the MX 3s if you have the 3. Mouse click is s**t, and the upgraded resolution is not worth the double price.
They can be left on but I notice mine dim after a short while. Haven’t figured out how to stop them dimming so may not be able to have the lights on 24/7.
Hey, is the thumb click on the MX 3S anything like the thumb click on the 2S? The thumb click on the 3 feels way more stiff and I have to put more pressure for it to click which isn’t very ergonomic ☹️
So nice click keyboard but you want a quite mouse. 🤔. Up grades from MX 3 not worth the $100. The sensor settings are a nice upgrade but not needed for me. Once my MX 3 dies I’ll go for it if a newer one isn’t available by then. But thanks for the review.
Best productivity mouse of all time. Might wait for the next iteration as I love my 3, but tempted to get one for my office. Might have to cop the keyboard though.
Did they make it so you can switch between devices without having to flip mouse over to do it. Its pretty much useless functionality without being able to map to a button or have it on top.
@@CerebroJD It doesn't work if you're working on company laptop. They won't let you install it. I probably have to switch between 3 devices 40x a day and have to turn over mouse. Should be an easier way to do it without having to install software.
Lmao. Pretty much useless? Wow. I can't believe people walk around this stup*d. "OH my God! Not a half second to turn the mouse upside down! Useless! Throw it away and go back to manually switching like most other mice. It's faster!" Don't cross roads without an adult
They are extremely similar, Non mechanical is $50 cheaper and... Non-mechanical is great but uses butterfly switches so less clicky, more silent, has less lighting options, no inclines on the back, and is missing full size arrow keys and the home row keys on the right... Last difference is it works with a bolt receiver but doesn't come with one. All that said I'm probably keeping the non mechanical I just got, it's a little more portable, cheaper, my ONLY complaint is the arrow keys, otherwise I love it.
Hey, I have one quick question. Are the F1-10 keys default, or are the "shortcuts" default? This is crucial because my work laptop cannot install software and FN keys for those key functionalities is a definitive no for me.
I believe you can change the default state of the function row right on the keyboard without software, you press FN + ESC (it should have a small lock icon on the escape key). At least that’s how my MX Keys works.
I do feel kinda bad for being so aggressive now cos he was very polite in the reply haha, having listened back to it too you can kinda tell just how quiet it is anyway 🤣 my bad bro
Why can't they make the bolt usb receivers to type C. Macbook's don't even have type A slot now. Feels quite odd, not having type C on modern products. Good Review though.
wow, that one is perfectly layout. But only released in china? Since it´s much cheaper than mx series on the chinese logitech site I think it will be much more lighter without aluminum, backlight, cheap keycaps and switches? Are there switch options, are there videos?
The mouse is looking really bad. And I don’t understand the idea of being “super productive”. This is a regular mouse that does nothing to your productivity
Disagree - you can map any of the extra buttons as a gesture button, with commands assigned to each direction of motion when pressing that button. If you do a lot in Excel or Outlook, or any image editing software, you can map a ton of shortcuts for incredibly easy access. There's even application-specific options, which is especially awesome in Excel (for me) with non-native commands like Paste Values built right into Options. There's no keyboard command for that in Excel, so that in itself is a huge timesaver.

Yeah clicky feels best but can be exhausting in long sessions, both in feel and sound.

Nice review, just picked up the Keychron mechanical keyboard and love it. May have to pick this up for my work office.
Hey Chau, just wondering is the rubber used similar to the 3? I absolutely hate the rubber they used on the 3 cuz of how quick it wore down.

Are the keys more stable than on the G915 which is quite wobbly? Seems like secondary keys are now lit unlike G915?
Just got the keyboard, definitely less wobbly than the G915.
I'm so excited for mine to arrive in the mail. Can't waitttttt.

First, always point the blade away from you. Second, you are beautiful. Third, apparently this video is about a keyboard. I had no idea.
Hi Chau, does the 3s have the annoying noise when the scrolling wheel stops in ratchet mode and smartshift activated like on the 3 ?

If you're using Flow, the mouse just moves between devices and your keyboard inputs on the device where the mouse is, I believe
