Nicko the drummer had a stroke (TIA) a few months before the beginning of this tour. His right side was partially paralyzed. He went through aggressive rehab and came back to do the tour. You can hear the progression of his rehabilitation throughout the tour. These guys are amazing. I don't think this is their last tour, they have hinted at one more go after this one. They still do a show every other night.
Not their last tour yet. They have 2024 lined up with shows around Australia, New Zealand, Japan, North America, South America. And when 2025 rolls around, that will be 50 years of Iron Maiden, so at that point I imagine they'll do something for that. Bruce Dickinson - 65 (throat cancer in 2014) Nicko McBrain (drums) - 71 (throat cancer in 2020, a stroke in Jan of 2023 and by May started their 2023 tour) Steve Harris (bass) - 67 Adrian Smith (guitar) - 66 Dave Murray (guitar) - 67 Janick Gers (guitar) - 66 2023 was quite the tour, especially considering the setlist and Nicko's performances.
Thank you for doing an Iron Maiden reaction video! It is a belated Christmas present that ranks right up there with the Darth Vader doll I got when I was 8 years old in terms of best Xmas gifts I received.
I was so happy to see your reaction to Iron Maiden! They were my favorite in my teenage years and early 20's. Bruce Dickinson has always been an amazing talent, even after his surgery for tongue cancer. BTS is my fave now in my middle age these many years later, so you have made me happy, indeed!. And your song is great, your voice is amazing
Greatest band EVER, got tickets to see them in Brisbane Australia 2024, CAN'T WAIT. I also listened to your song at end, FANTASTIC. what a future you and your band has with music like that. Every1 please check out CITY OF SOUND. I downloaded all your songs on spotify.
Thank you for this reaction! I've been a die hard fan since the early 80s and I have been in the crowd at Wacken Open Air this year. They are still nailing the full set, and the only reason why we were less engaged was that we were stuck in the mud 😂. Hope you will have a career as great as theirs. 🤘🏼
They do you still have it! I saw them like three different times in the early to mid 80s! With the Scorpions! Back when I was still a crazy teenager😂 This was great!
The world tour continues into 2024. Retirement rumors are just that, rumors. Even after Nicko's stroke earlier this year that left him partially paralyzed, they still refuse to call it quits. You should check out Bruce's latest solo album and video, The Mandrake Project. Up the Irons!
I got to see them on this tour in Manchester. I've seen them 8 times now in total since 2006 and I've got to say, just when I was worried, thinking that they may have started to lose it, they really proved me wrong. I was blown away by how amazing they sounded that night. I may be biased as it was the concert I saw, but f all the footage I've seen from this tour, all the best sounding ones have been from the Manchester concert. Great video bud, awesome reaction
My very first Maiden concert was for the Seventh Son Of The Seventh Son, we had 6th row floor seats! What a great first Maiden concert!! Some years later, after seeing them a few more times, my husband and I were able to meet them twice!! 'Stranger In A Strange Land' is a very good album. Wasted Years is my all-time favorite song!
Iron maiden are in the top 10 best bands of all time. Bruce is a licensed pilot and flies their plane around the world, he was a world class fencer, very good at soccer and a writer. One of the best live bands ever and yes they still got it with energy in their 60's and they have 3 guitarists now but the best part is you can tell they actually have fun, they don't need the money they enjoy playing
The guitar solo from The Boss (Adrian Smith) still give me goosebumps. Can’t wait to see them in Brooklyn the next november. Up the Irons 🤟🏼 (and 👏 for the reaction and the video)
That Maiden is going back and presenting much of the Somewhere in Time album on this tour is really quite remarkable. The album was a bit of a controversial Beast back in the day cuz in 1986 synthesizers were considered quite a No-No in heavy metal circles. But the band persevered and their song writing on here is fantastic. But most of these songs especially the b-sides in the Deep Cuts never saw the light of day on tours until now. I would go see Maiden any day they are still 100% amazing in concert and have kept good care of themselves, they love their fans and they treat each live show like an event as it should be. The fact that they are playing songs from somewhere in Time only strengthens the fact that I will be there if they are within 500 miles of me on this tour
Found you about 4 months ago I truly appreciate your breakdown of music the perspective that you bring As a singer/frontman I truly enjoy. I’m 54 an 80’s kid of music, long hair which I still have today first concert was Priest and Twisted Sister opening in 83. Mega loud is an understatement. Iron Maiden is unreal, I’m glad that you bring much younger than me gets what we got 40yrs ago Keep doing great content and I’ll be here. I like your band. Voice is incredible, somehow your band needs to be heard by a big wig etc for you to finally get that break you deserve!! Btw let your hair grow bring some long hair back!! Hope to see you in Philly in 24. I’ll be at Maiden in November at Wells Fargo Center. Talk to you soon brother. Let’s Go!!!!
Great reaction. Greetings from Germany 😊. And all the best for your band. I have just listened to some of your songs and I love it. Just loaded a few down on Spotify. Hope to see U on a live concert in Germany once. Good luck👍
The hole band plays only with monitors, without in ears. Behind the galerie curtains they have their boxsystems and the frontmonitors of course too. Bruce said some weeks ago, they always play to fast, because no click tracks or backibg tracks. Everything is live. It is not their last tour, they play 2024 in AUS NZ JP USA CAN MEX ... Plans are made till 2026. In spring Bruce and Steve are at solo tour in GB / Europe.
They still have but if we’re honest, if we can be, Bruce is near the point of failure. He certainly has the lower register but even songs like this test his upper register. He navigates it well but he’s on the edge of failure. They are the best ever so I’m simply thankful to still have them around.
Please dry Dortmund 1983 Mr Bruce early days Iron Maiden..All 1983-1990 live consert are so good ewen that Day sound system was total difrent...PS Iron Maiden but guit much money good sound system and live consert Iron Maiden was nro1 easy,!!.ewen this Day...
As a young artist, it's nice to see you paying homage to the guys that paved the road, but at some point, you gotta sit back and say, "Damn. It's not fair that they are that good"! Keep pluggin away, you'll get there!
Check out my band! open.spotify.com/artist/19ErqV3IIZFacXLQF0mqgs?si=FwDXuUTQRSK0fbDhnwGdRg
They have plans for the future 2025 is their 50 anniversary so new album for sure
What I like about your reactions to Iron Maiden is you chose songs not heard very often. But very much the top songs

My friend is the guy in the massive costume (Eddie) that goes on stage every night. I'm extremely jealous of him 🤣🤣 but I do get backstage 😅
Dude this is so EPIC

That wasn’t even their best performance to put on a clip. They’re kicking ass in this tour.
Can’t wait to see them again
UP THE IRONS!!

Best band to ever walk this earth.
Calling? I don't remember who, I think Bruce himself, when interviewed about any plans for them to retire, he replied that they'd rather die on stage.
They do you still have it! I saw them like three different times in the early to mid 80s! With the Scorpions! Back when I was still a crazy teenager😂 This was great!

I have to wait until Next November to see this tour. I'm looking forward to it though.
They still got it? Dude, they never lost it.
Both of those can be true 😂

Bruce has never worn in ears, he just wears ear plugs and runs off the monitors.
