In the expression of your face and your words "you play" and "go on now" you have summed up 40 years of my life listening to Maiden. welcome lady to the path of Maiden ... but be careful there is no turning back. up the Irons ¡¡¡
My favorite Maiden album (Somewhere In Time). If you loved this you will love most of Maiden's catalogue. My choice would have been Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner, but this is by no means a bad choice. Keep Rockin' Shiloh!!!!!
I always recommend Rime of the Ancient Mariner here, but the most accessible Maiden songs (gateway drug?) is probably Can I Play With Madness?, The Evil That Men Do, or 2 minutes to Midnight. Boy, there are more must-have Maiden songs than I realised as I started typing this. I mean I’ve avoided Number if the Beast, Hallowed Be Thy Name or Run to the Hills on purpose, but - well.
Yes! Finally some Maiden. Most reactors start with Hallowed Be Thy Name. This is rarer song from them so nice that you did something different. Maiden have soooo much good songs. Looking forward what you going to watch next. Merry christmas from Finland! 🇫🇮
You're expressions during the song are the adorablest (yes I made that word up) hehe like seriously sis.. And more importantly your reactions are genuine!
Great to see a young black girl rocking out to Maiden and loving it! Keep the rabbit hole going! Haven´t seen any reactor do Revelations. Obviously you should react to the classics, Hallowed be thy name (live, Hammersmith), Fear of the Dark (live, Rock in Rio), Rime of the Ancient Mariner (live, Flight 666), The Trooper, Number of the Beast, Phantom of the Opera. Lots of Maiden song lyrics are either historical or based on literary material.
I’ve never seen a guitar solo affect anyone more than you watching this video. I love it! Their guitar playing is some of the best you’ll hear in music. I’d love to see you react to some real old school Iron Maiden from the Paul Di’Anno years, “Transylvania,” the song “Iron Maiden,” or “Phantom of the Opera.”
Love all your beautiful reactions to this great song by Adrian Smith & Co. Stranger In A Strange Land is surely one of their very best, along with other classics like Flight Of Icarus, Powerslave, Wasted Years, Caught Somewhere In Time, Sea Of Madness, and so many more than I can name here. Truly amazing stuff!! Your wonderful facial expressions, etc. show how much impact it had on you right from the start. I could see how the tune drew you in and held you in the grasp of its story & lyrics, as well as all those fantastic chords and melodies on the vocals and guitars. Plus that killer combo of bass and drums. You have just been Maidenized, Girl!! Thank you for Posting!!
Love your reaction , it made me so happy with a burst of youth that can only be brought about by the time travel that can only be accomplished thru music. I have been an iron Maiden fan since 1980and i remember listening to that song when i was a teen .
Video and song are from "Somewhere in Time " Album released in 1986..The "gorilla" is the bands mascot "Eddie" and is featured on every Iron Maiden album..
Somewhere in Time is the Maiden that will always hold a special place in my heart. It's so ominous, dystopian, technical and downright heartfelt. This track and Wasted Years especially, really hit hard. Adrian Smith was on another level on this album and this track especially.
I thought I was the only person in the world to have such feelings on an Adrian Smith solo ... thanks for giving me a reason not to think I'm crazy. An Iron song with a similar solo is Caught Somewhere in Time and Wasted Years
I love your your face expression's headbang for ever we need more open minded people in this world up your Irons I bet you would be a joy to go to a concert with keep it up
The song is about the Franklin expedition to find a northern passage from Atlantic to Pacific Ocean in the mid 1800’s. They found the graves of some of the crew in their early 20’s perfectly preserved over 100 years later. The ships became trapped in the ice. The perspective of the song is of one of the dead crew members.
Omg I absolutely love your reaction to this. You almost cried on that guitar solo and I know exactly what you were feeling because I felt it too. It’s my favorite album from Maiden and every song on this album has the best guitar work out of all in my opinion. Also, this was the greatest time for Maiden. Their prime. With the perfect members of the band together. Iron Maiden is truly the greatest metal band to ever exist and always will be. Awesome Shiloh!!!👏
Nice song to start with Iron Maiden and great reaction. Bruce Dickinson (the singer) is a pilot and has flown their own Iron Maiden Jumbo jet "EdForce One" For their Somewhere Back In time tour in 2008 and 2009. He is also a commercial airline pilot for Astraeus. Next "Hallowed be thy Name" live at Hammersmith 1982 please.
Someone may have already mentioned this but the character on stage (The animatronic fella) is Eddie. He is a skeleton who is depicted on every one of Iron Maiden's albums/releases. Eddie is definitely along for the ride. He is basically their mascot. I have seen Maiden about 10 times already (through the years) but still going to see them in October in Greensboro, NC. ~ Woot Fuck Yeahz ~
It's definitely hard to decide what is more entertaining. The of course very good video to that song or your reaction to it. Simple a sweet combination. It's seems you found something to enjoy?
Love seeing a reaction to this song - it's always fun to watch somebody discover Maiden, but this one gets overlooked for some reason a lot of the time.
Hi Shiloh, I like how you get into metal. Very Cool. You should check out Iron Maiden's, Run to the Hills, 2 minutes to midnight and The Trooper. All great songs
Fun fact. The lead singer, Bruce Dickinson, is probably the coolest person on the planet. He is a licenced pilot, able to fly a Boeing 747. (The big jumbo jet) The band has such a plane, and he flies them around. He is also a beer brewer with his own beer company, a songwriter, an author. And the best part? He beat throat cancer 5 years ago, and still sings like an angel afterwards! :D Can't get any cooler or badass than that! :D
Welcome to metal, babe. That reaction you had is what those of us who've been listening for years live for. The emotion. The power. There's nothing like metal. Nothing.
awesome reaction. the giant gorilla though is EDDIE the bands mascot that makes an appearance on the cover of every album. he is a zombie / demon that is a vey large part of this bands identity. wherever there's maiden, there's Eddie. UP THE IRONS!!
Welcome to the Iron Maiden family. You are in for one hell of a great ride. I would love to suggest which song for you to listen to next, but there is just too many. I will suggest though you go back to their first album and then go in order. Maiden have had 3 vocalist in Paul Di'Anno (1978-1981) , Bruce Dickinson (1982-1998/2000-today) and Blaze Bayley (1994-1999). The guy you just heard is Bruce. All 3 singers are good, but Bruce is on a level much, much higher than the others. In any case enjoy this wild ride that is Iron Maiden and a phrase you will from many Maiden fans, "Up the IRONS!" \m/\m/
The greatest heavy metal band. Next check out their live performance of Seventh Son of a Seventh Son Live at NEC 1988. You’ll get to hear Bruce’s amazing vocal range. Only Iron Maiden can make an eleven minute song seem short. Up The Irons. 🤟🏼
Adrian Smith is the best metal guitarists of all time. You might wanna look at Caught Somewhere in Time, Alexander the Great and The Rime of the Ancient Mariner. Love your reactions. Gorgeous girl with a gorgeous smile
That's not a gorilla, it's Eddy, the zombie mascot of the group you could see in all their covers and t-shirt, but at a giant scale ^^ The solos are 100% from Adrian Smith... usually he shares solos with the other guitar solist Dave Murray, and it's often as awesome as this ^^
i love your videos shiloh keep em coming anyway maiden is one of the best bands in heavy metal history my favorite album is powerslave and i would love to see you react to a song from that album called the rime of the ancient mariner it is a very long track i know you would love anyway have a good one my friend and stay rockin cheers from denmark :)
Please be the first reaction video to Travis Tritt! He is one of the most underrated vocalist of all time! You HAVE to hear “Anymore” it’ll change your life like it has mine.
Huge Iron Maiden fan, this is an awesome song to get your start, one of my favorites. There are so many to choose from!! Everything suggest below is unstoppable Maiden. I'd like to suggest a bit older. Try "Remember Tomorrow", you will not be disappointed, you seem to like the solo, I think you'd like this one.
if this is your first maiden listen then you're in the good way. a lot of people just listens run to the hills or the trooper and hey, they're not bad songs but having things like this, wasted years, powerslave, the number of the beast, caught somewhere in time, etc etc.... you started great, i recommend now wasted years bucause it has a similar solo style and it's a mid tempo song. not fast, not slow. it's perfect to keep maiden style before passing to another stuff. but any song i said is a classic.. they all have nice solos, they're my fav part of songs and even music as a guitar player too. happy holidays
Iron Maiden the Heavy Metal band that makes Heavy Metal music for those who aren't into Heavy Metal it's no wonder why everyone is influenced by them from Metallica to Sabaton
This is one of Bill and Ted's favorite bands. Great band! Iron Maiden, Iron Maiden, Iron Maiden aka the band name, the song title, and the album. Check it out! Run to the Hills is my favorite from them.
I'm so proud to share a birthday with Adrian Smith--the more accomplished one who played that solo, not the architect of the same name who designed the world's tallest building. 😂
This is an interesting choice for your first Maiden song. Not one of the more predictable Maiden reactions, but it's a great song. I've been a Maiden fan since I was 13 back in 1986 . First band I ever saw live in 1988 at the age of 15. Still one of the best live gigs I have ever been too, being right down the front of the old NEC in Birmingham in England. Always had a soft spot for the "Somewhere In Time " album though. Especially since I've gotten older. There's something intriguing and warming about it as you mature. I'm sure loads of people have suggested other songs by Maiden for you. I'd recommend "Infinite Dreams", "Revelations" or the epic "Rime of the Ancient Mariner" personally. They are all incredible songs.
This is for me one of the best solos in history, Mr. Adrian Smith!
Solo to Wasted Years is right up there with this one.
I've always been partial to Powerslave. That was the first album of their's that I had back in the 80s.
IMO Adrian Smith is a very underrated guitar player.
Yep it is at the top with comfortably numb and.....? Just those two.
@Le phare Yeah, that is because Adrian Smith did most of the songwriting in some kind of manic episode.
Girl cried during Adrian's solo! You feel the music! That's my favorite Maiden solo. Adrian is awesome!
The guitar solo in this is incredible.
Written by Adrian Smith, who played the guitar solo.
And that's how I feel about Adrian Smith's solos. So much feel!
This is one of the most well composed solos of all time. I´ve played it at least 200 times and everytime you realize just how good it is.
@@dempalundquist703 man i would love to learn it.. im an amateur but i think i'll try it because i love a lot adrian's tone and feel
@@smn1085 Well, the first time I played I was just 17. It´s not that difficult reallly but to get that feel and tone is.
Love H!!! He already looks so stiff when playing. That’s his style. Awesome musician!!
That whole album is Adrian's finest work.
Alexander the Great, Best history lesson in a song.
Second that! 🤘🏻
Yes yes yes yes yes 😍😍🤘🤘
One of my favorites and very underrated
Adrian and Dave are still among my favorite guitarists. Their solos are songs inside songs.
Word
In the expression of your face and your words "you play" and "go on now" you have summed up 40 years of my life listening to Maiden.
welcome lady to the path of Maiden ... but be careful there is no turning back. up the Irons ¡¡¡
Most iron maiden songs are like this. Very melodic, story telling, very tight, spine tingling interludes.
Next Maiden "Wasted Years"👍
My favorite Iron Maiden song
And Caught Somewhere In Time. This whole album is fantastic.
Yes!!!
My favorite Maiden album (Somewhere In Time). If you loved this you will love most of Maiden's catalogue. My choice would have been Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner, but this is by no means a bad choice. Keep Rockin' Shiloh!!!!!

Actually, probably the most accessible Maiden song is a b-side obscure cover tune - Reach Out
Guitar solo man, she felt the emotion a newly Maiden fan. Up with the Irons
Best Iron Maiden reaction video! You truly felt it.
Yes! Finally some Maiden. Most reactors start with Hallowed Be Thy Name. This is rarer song from them so nice that you did something different. Maiden have soooo much good songs. Looking forward what you going to watch next. Merry christmas from Finland! 🇫🇮
“The Trooper” is a good one!
You're expressions during the song are the adorablest (yes I made that word up) hehe like seriously sis.. And more importantly your reactions are genuine!
"Hallowed Be Thy Name" is a requirement for Maiden newbs! :)
Absolutely
A absolute must! Up the irons 🤘🤘✌💚
You mean the trooper even though they're both still amazing songs
Anyone know if she is ok?
7th Son is Maiden's Abbey Road album. It's practically perfect.
My favorite band and favorite reactor. It doesn’t get any more perfect. Up the Irons !!!
Video and song are from "Somewhere in Time " Album released in 1986..The "gorilla" is the bands mascot "Eddie" and is featured on every Iron Maiden album..
Seeing you react to the solo the way you did is so beautiful... you get it. You just do.
Powerslave, hallowed be thy name, fear of the dark, rime of the ancient mariner, blood brothers... Always live versions! Great video, keep it up!!
Yes Shiloh a good guitar solo can bring tears to your eyes!❤
Give a round of applause to Adrian Smith for that guitar solo. Legend
And plus that’s not giant gorilla, that’s an mascot called Eddie on Iron Maiden
Somewhere in Time is the Maiden that will always hold a special place in my heart. It's so ominous, dystopian, technical and downright heartfelt. This track and Wasted Years especially, really hit hard. Adrian Smith was on another level on this album and this track especially.

Thanks Manny! Great request! kicking my ass!!! Thanks for doing this one, Shy. Somewhere In Time is such an amazing album.....Peace!
1987-1988, that's the pinnacle of their prowess right there.
That “gorilla” is Eddie. He’s been with the band for ages.
Eddie no- but - the original Murders in the Rue Morgue by Poe
the killer was an orangutan . LOL
She is a child, give her a break lol
@@fabiogentile2135 Looks like they were being nice about it. A gentle nudge towards more heavy metal knowledge is never a bad thing. 😃
Adrian doesn't just play a guitar solo; he builds a movie score. Kudos to Steve Harris, the bassist and founder, for the masterpiece of bass harmony.

Love this song. This entire album is great. I was 14 years old when this came out. This hooked me on Maiden.
La magie d'Iron Maiden. C'est magnifique! 👍
These are the real GOATS. They are history teachers.
It's definitely hard to decide what is more entertaining.
The of course very good video to that song or your reaction to it.
Simple a sweet combination.
It's seems you found something to enjoy?
Please do "aces high", "the number of the beast", "powerslave" and "wrathchild" too by Iron maiden!
I hope you do the same with Iron Maiden that you did with Queen. You and me need more Iron Maiden in our lives. Iron Maiden - Infinite Dreams live
Love seeing a reaction to this song - it's always fun to watch somebody discover Maiden, but this one gets overlooked for some reason a lot of the time.
