  • Creole Cornbread Recipe - Cornbread is a staple of Cajun and Creole cuisine. So if you've never had then you're in for a real treat!
    Creole Cornbread Ingredients
    2 cups Cooked Rice
    2 large Eggs, room temperature
    1 cup Whole Milk
    1 cup Yellow Cornmeal
    1/2 cup chopped Onion
    1 - 2 tbsp chopped Jalapeno Peppers
    1/2 tsp Baking Soda
    1 tsp Salt
    1/4 cup Canola Oil
    1 (14.5 ounces) can Cream-Style Corn
    3 cups shredded Cheddar Cheese
    *** Note ***
To level this Creole Cornbread up even further add these ingredients:
1 tbsp Creole Seasoning (I strongly suggest Creole Kick)
    1 tsp Cumin
Small Shrimp can be added as well
2 - 3 tbsp chopped Jalapenos with seed for that bite!
    Enjoy!

When handling hot peppers I usually rub a small amount of any cooking oil on my hands, that way you can wash your hands and no residue of the pepper juices remains on your hands.

Hi AB, I just made your cornbread for the first time and it was love at first bite!!! Actually it was love at first sight when I saw you sharing your delicious recipe with the world. As soon as I got off work I ran to the store to get all the ingredients, came home and made it, and now I am experiencing pure delight!! I took a photo to share but it looks like there’s not a way to upload a photo here in the comments section. My cornbread turned out gorgeous and delicious thanks to all your great tips. I will never need another cornbread recipe for as long as I live!!

After watching your video, it looked so good I wanted to make a pan right away with what I had. I substituted canola oil with vegetable oil, creamed corn with sweet whole kernel corn, whole milk with 2% milk and left out the jalapenos. Baked in the skillet at 350 for 47 minutes, then let it cool for 15 minutes and I'm telling you this stuff was delicious! And you're right about it not needing anything on it! Just perfect! Thank you so much from South Carolina! Who dat, YOU DAT!!!

I was cutting up habanero peppers for my salsa I make. I was home alone. Touched my eye and thought I was going to go blind. I stuck my head (eye) under the kitchen sink to flush it out. My entire eye ball was numb. It hurt so bad. I never have had that pepper in my house ever again. LoL A lesson learned.

My cousin and son went back for 2nds of the creole cornbread and my baby doesn't even eat yams but he loved these. Next time I'll add more jalapeño seeds to it, I'm a spicy girl but I had to tame the spice for my grandmother. This is my 4th time trying your recipes.

Love, love, love how organized your presentations are. I'll say again, your ingredand supplies are all ready for use which makes everything flow and holds my attention. And, today I noticed the editing showing the corn went from closed to open in a blink and the verbal instruction never missed a beat. The editing is amazing and makes for a very impressive video. Love your work. Keep it up. God bless.

Mine is very simple but I cut the corn off the stalk I add homicide smoked salt and 3 TB of brown sugar, I use cream instead of whole milk unless that is all I got.
I use a vegetable shortening because I find the corn bread sticks together better.
I get my skillet well greased and hot enough to fry in then add my batter. Most times I just put a plate on top and flip it right out then another plate and flip it right back to the top.
I also add little green 🌶
I like the red onions and sweet Vandalia.
I like the cheese just like this guy great with chili soups beans anything.
I should trade you my onion fritter recipe.

I love cornbread and cannot wait to try this special cornbread recipe! Many online videos seem to always have the cook or chef pouring a large bowl of ingredients into a smaller bowl. It should be the other way around. A small bowl gets poured into the largest bowl to facilitate the best blending or stirring motion. Its fine to to use a glass bowl as long as it is large enough to accommodate the ingredients with no worry about sloshing it out of the bowl. Anyhow, kudos on this great recipe!!
