That was some good driving. Just accelerating a bit late out of the apex every now and again, but the other bikes were definitely more powerful I think.
It's good to see Ari back in the mix and two videos in a row. 👍👍 I swear I thought you were going to low side in the first corner. 🤢 Simply amazing!🤘😃🤘👏👏👏
Just an average streetbike twin from Yamaha. Blasting around a race circuit up to redline lap after lap. Reliably. Without leaks. Without excessive wear. Japan makes good stuff.
I try not to be salty about converting my FZ over to a race bike because the R7 **exactly** what I want out of a track bike but at least I got my FZ for a banging deal and it’s paid off. The R9 has to be coming at some point right?
That is insane how early (and hard) an experienced rider can get on the throttle in the corkscrew. He pinned that bad boy mid-turn while at a super sharp lean angle…and going downhill. That is so counter-intuitive to how my brain works. It just goes to show how much a good rider can extract from a bike vs an Average Joe like me.
The corkscrew is steep at the top and flattens out as you go down, so the wheels and suspension are heavily loaded. You will never get more traction than gradually coming out the bottom of a steep hill.
Ok so Ari was faster than me back when he had long hair but that looks like he is moving around Laguna at pretty fast pace . That R7 looks like turns quick .
Great lap, and what a tricky track - all that elevation just makes for a extra challenge. And I just noticed a lot of the corners require trail braking
@@sushi_edits225 Brock's reply fails to take into account a ton of factors. In my opinion, if you're not a upper-level A-group rider, an R7 will actually be faster around most tracks. It's simply easier to ride and has a less demanding power curve.

Ari on a race prepped R7 in Laguna Seca? You just made my day, Revzilla! Now to watch this video ten times in a row.
Literally 5th time in 3 different days
Ari is an animal! And the idea of ripping a bike through the iconic corkscrew of Laguna Seca is wild! Definitely a bucket list thing
Ari never disappoints! Cool video.
I was so damn stoked to see "Henning" on the leaderboard honestly amazing he was able to just jump in and play like that. Hope there's more!
It's good to see Ari back in the mix and two videos in a row. 👍👍

that 3rd gear pull out of the corkscrew is awesome
Looks a blast, light and responsive on corner entry with plenty grunt on the way out, hell of a package you got yourselves boys, a true riders bike
Ari is a beast, the corkscrew looks genuinely scary from that angle :D I'd still absolutely love a shot around that track :D
I love the sound of this bike. It just sounds so mean and aggressive.
like a small displacement Ducati?
CP2 ftw!
Me too
Yup, the CP2 is such a mean sounding engine. Never disappoints.
The sound is the only part of the R7 I don't like. Sounds like a lawnmower to me lol
Breathtaking. Leaning this far in the corners almost scares me although im only watching it in the video.
A very respectable 13th place! Well done Mr Henning👏
going up against 600 race bikes though xD
That's good for first time out! First time, you have to finish!
@@JOA-S He raced in Twins Cup, not Supersport.
Man Ari is such an amazing rider
That backing off going by the sound booth looked familiar :). Very smooth lap!
This POV is mad!!! 👌🏾
Love this track.
Never been there but a favourite with sim racing 😉
Same here with Forza! 😆 I didn’t know they raced bikes there, thats pretty incredible.
That's a perfectly executed riding video, purity of experience.
Those induction noise from those high lift cams and big bore throttle bodies are awesome
My lord your speed through T2 made my hair stand up! I can only dream of being that ballsy.
Edge to edge seems so effortless. Looks pretty awesome. The corners are coming up quick. thanks for sharing!
love watching Ari rip around a track 1st person style
What a smooth ride around the track on that thing
lol, the joys of the laguna sounds check between T5 and T6.
Get sum Ari! Congrats on the great results
awesome footage!

Using all of the track and great lines. You can tell his been on Laguna before the way he hit the chicane.
Love all the content! 🔥🔥🔥
For reference he ran a 1:33 ish. I ran a 1:43 on an rc390 while racing in the rc cup. That bike is quick

I hope so, I think the mt09 engine in sports bike form would be the ultimate road weapon
SOUNDS SO GOOD!
God damn Ari can rip. Looked like he was shoulder down Marquez style there. More onboards with Ari please
amazing lap time. he makes it look so easy. I was just there on Monday and it's not as easy to get this kind of time for us mortals.
the camera and placement was incredible! what was used to shoot this?
and as always, its a joy to watch Ari rip around a track
GoPro with a chestmount
@@silent_fluo6917 Nope it was mounted to the tank.
this video is scary and awasome at the same time!
If only MotoGP decides to bring back Leguna Seca.
That's a good lap, Ari! May I know what's the reason for sound limit?
Because stupid people built houses right next to a racetrack and now they complain about noise.
There's a subdivision just outside of the racetrack who convinced local officials for a sound ordinance
Rich assholes.
Sounds like the same kind of people who bought houses out near Denver’s airport, then complained about jet noise!
@@0347kali Oo I get it. Pretty sad though.
Really wanted to upgrade to an R1... but an R7 track bike is also heavily weighing in the consideration
Nice Vid. Great sound👌
Sounds incredible
Ari, Zach, and Adam W I really enjoy
Yup buying the r7 next year I’m sold
you did great ari!
That blind R-L-R over crest's pretty cool

Ironically, that's my slowest sector. The really good riders carry more entry speed into the left and get on the gas even earlier...
The corkscrew is steep at the top and flattens out as you go down, so the wheels and suspension are heavily loaded. You will never get more traction than gradually coming out the bottom of a steep hill.
Who else's is tilting their heads as the bike leans into the corners 🤣
This is what moto2 should be, mid sized twins open to all manufacturers
Any manufacturer can join moto2, just have to use the glorious 765 engine which has absolutely nothing wrong with it.
That looks like so much fun.
Going in to T1 at the beginning sheesh. I was like "oh he's overcooked it." Nope. So much speed into such a tight corner haha
Hey thoughtful comments below...to be honest I'm stoked I'm No.5...views that is....love the channel!!

such a great racetrack
I love how the guy at the gate looked. He was like " why are you looking at me? Get the f out of here."
Awesomeness 🤘😎
That was art
Ari, you are a freaking gangster sir.
Very cool, was looking forward to this one. I did notice it was very bumpy. Suspension, track or camera?
You would love this track 🙂
After watching that first turn I now have road rash up to my thigh!
Sounds amazing
1:30 I high side so much in this section playing Ride 4
I’m curious to know how does it stack up against the R6
The R6 is a superior machine.
@@brockcroy805 yeah I know it’s pricier but on tracks which have more twists and bends, something tells me that the R7 would win

Holy max lean angle batman!
It’s impressive how late ari brakes into corners…
Gopros sometimes don’t show speed very well but that looked fast
why did he take his hand off and slow at 1:16 ?
Passing the sound booth. 95db max, letting off throttle or he’ll pop for sound.
There was no sound at all first time playing the video?
I'm sure that's changed many opinion on the new R7 from Yamaha, it's changed mine 👍
while you're right, this is far from a srock R7. He's been working with the yoshimura team for weeks.
@@SirSpinalColumn I'd guessed as much but it is still holding its own against the other bikes out there. Sounds good too 😁
I guess I just don't understand the point of this motorcycle. It's not replacing the R6, it's not better, very strange to me
Nice sound
Go Ari Go!!
The sound limits at Laguna and many other tracks are embarrassing. Let us ride our damn bikes!
I don't expect anything less from California
Lacks acceleration on straights. But the torque of R7 is amazing.
You do realise its a beginner bike yeah?
@@mt09madness Bleeding edge of beginner. Better as a second bike for most beginners.
What a beast.
That thing is flying! Has to be close to 100hp

can anyone tell me why every rider from another video going slowdown to before uphill ?
What wheels are they using on this build?? Anyone know?
Now post the whole race!
dang that boy can ride!
that bike goes fast
Can I order the aftermarket dash and clip ons same one in the videos on revzilla?
That first turn was scary 🤣🤣🤣
How the hell do you corner this hard? Am I not counter steering hard enough on the track? damn
MORE!
Can I ask what camera setup that is? I’d rather do that than a helmet cam. Thank you!
So cool!!
Is the R7 pretty much the same as a Panigalle V2 or Aprilla?
Nope. Loads weaker.
@phxbeanbun And even that has a solid 30-40 horsepower above it.
It's more akin to an SV650 with clip ons and fairings.
Increíble vision
How did this pass db requirement for leguna?
Looks like your about to drag handlebar! Damn dude! Hahaha
Ah yes that engine has little more high rev~ and sounds even better plus with racing full system exhaust~ and btw what digital speedo is that?
I can really see that going in too fast into the corkscrew is a slow way through that corner!
bad ass r7
