Thank you Revzilla for lending us your most special guy Ari. And Ari, lets take that R7 out again when nobody is looking. We made some more trickery for it :)
This is crazy cus i was contemplating buying an r7 as a track bike and then i see that yoshi is gona be producing these parts for us track riders. Now im pretty set on getting this bike. I can start saving for that subframe now i guess
well, the Aprilias engine is a different concept, more peak power but less torque in lower revs, so yes >100HP out of a 660 twin is a lot, but it´s not like stock Yamaha could not do it, they did not want to in a way
@@redo1dr true I know they tuned it in the tuareg for more low end power and still need up having a bit more power but I believe it still requires premium fuel while the cp2 runs regular. Maybe yamaha could hit those specs with advanced timing and premium too. The cp2 is an amazing engine and bombproof reliable
What a great project! And what a dream it must be to be a part of! So many custom parts and the best of the best. The front end... wow. That has to be one incredible braking R7. Thanks for bringing us along, Ari.
Wow Ari, that’s a cool build. With Yoshi usually associated with Suzuki it’s easy to miss that they’re great with all makes. Totally rad paint scheme too! A cool addition would be the wheels painted blue on the right and orange/yellow on the left.
1:17 this right to left transition is so damn cool to watch. but what's really incredible is a 100hp bike that only weighs 360 lbs. now that is something i would pay money for.
Saw you guys out there at Laguna! Didn't realize how special that bike was though. Can't wait to see where twins cup teams take the R7 now. Especially with all the other bikes coming into that class soon.
Excellent video. I read and enjoyed your articles on Revzilla as well. I wish they had been on youtube so I might have seen them earlier. I was at Laguna and hate that I didn't know you watch you and the bike. Congratulations on an impressive effort and result, it must have been a lot of fun.
Agreed. Considering how well Ari knows the track, and how good he looked on the onboard lap he posted recently, I put him up there battling the top contenders.
That's one of the hypest liveries I've ever seen, and oh boy I've seen a lot of them. Amazing project and what an opportunity. I'm not a big fan of the R7 in stock trim.... but that Yosh R7, whooboy! Fantastic.
I love this company have a full Yoshi exhaust and fender eliminator on my Cbr1000 rr great sound exhaust as always and looks way cool which is half the battle.
What a nice bike it is and right up there with the RS660 now. Nearly double the bhp and lightened overall weight too. I would love to see what it's like around my track. Swing arm looks spindly though!
This is my absolute dream right now, the absolute best of all but with the amount power an average intermediate rider like me can really use 100%. I think this would be the perfect bike for me to train on so I can try touching 600s in a few years. :)
just bought an R7 about a month ago and put about 500 miles on it so far....mainly wanted it for the brutal grunty angry sound it makes.....already had a few people tell me it sounds like a harley kind of....when i first got it the stock exhaust was pretty tame but now with this full M4 system it rowdy af
We were hoping you showed up at Barber for the finale. Should of had Kae drive it out! Great to see Yosh back in the paddock. Hopefully they can find budget to run the entire twins cup series in 2023.
Very cool! I know that the bike is still pretty new and you guys don't have a lot of long term testing with it yet, but can you comment on how all those power upgrades will likely affect the engine's longevity? Do you think it would last a season or two, or would it require more frequent rebuilds?
i dont know what to think about this. i remember when twins cup was 5 sponsorless sv650s at laguna. though priveteers swaping ducati weels onto everything. but i think now its kind of defeated its origional porpose, its still possible but the barrier to entry has moved up.
A proper racing bike build video, whats not to love as bike enthusiast. btw , can someone tell me what equipment are they using to get suspension telemetry ?
If only the stock rc was basically this, i think a lot of people would buy more of them. Plus, if there are people like me, people want more power out of the r7 or just in general. I would love this race bike for the street. Linear power with more left over
nice bike, awesome color, is there a reason for the right fork to have the comp cartridge fitted? that is backwards according to the manual (right rebound rule)
You are a lucky gangster .Pops Yoshimura was my buddy garu and mentor ..invented developed honda's 1st 2 stroke Rc125 that became japan's championship in 1971..he built the company you are racing for ...he soon learn to write his own ticket for all japanese motorcycles..basically the greatest tuner that ever walk on the face of planet earth ..i was first introduced by the ceo of honda service reps. We waiting for this wrap to be sale!
Just finishing reading, was a heartwarming journey, and a good advertisement for Yoshi. I think Daisuke has produced a fan of the company.
Thank you Revzilla for lending us your most special guy Ari. And Ari, lets take that R7 out again when nobody is looking. We made some more trickery for it :)
Thanks for the opportunity guys! The whole experience was certainly a highlight of my two-wheeled career.
Amazing bike, can't wait to see what you guys make available to the public out of all of this work
Zack would like to have a word with you. 😂 Both guys are equally great though. Hahaha
@@PatYouells soon!
In theorie… al lot would fit on my MT07 Tracer platform as well I guess🤔😋
So excited for the fact that Ari is now at the twins cup! Small bikes are insanely fun and its the perfect step up from his RC390 days / 400cc cup
They should make this paintjob as a wrap and sell to us 🔥🔥🔥🔥
For real it's insane
@@89foxguy Yosh actually has a Grom graphics kit. It's lit!
@@AriH211 I've seen it but it was sold out it looks sick on the yellow. 🤙

Best looking R7 I have seen so far
When price is no option. What a machine. Also makes me respect aprillia more for putting out the same power from factory from their cp twin

@@jaybosher6144 there's also the whole price point thing. yes the factory rs660 makes more power than stock r7, but it also costs 2100 more.
@@thinkdunson also Rs660 has better electronics..Tft dash and better look..

R7 has an mt 07 engine

Thats amazing thats an actual paintjob and not a wrap!
That beautiful paint job should be displayed at the Museum of Modern Art.

That is the sickest paint Scheme I've ever seen on a bike!
That's sick, I just bought an R7 today, such a fun bike.
I really love to see ari and zack again. Both of them are good at describing bikes.. 👍😁
Saw you guys out there at Laguna! Didn't realize how special that bike was though. Can't wait to see where twins cup teams take the R7 now. Especially with all the other bikes coming into that class soon.
Saw this bike on display at the Newport Beach location and looks better in person
I have been looking forward to seeing this episode. Thanks RevZilla and Ari
That paint job absolutely slaps ! 🤙
This is the perfectest R7 ever, BEAUTIFUL! Wish u luck man
That's one beautiful motorcycle.
Good job Yamaha & Yoshimura 👍
I would love to see Yosh make a comeback and do a full season in Twins Cup!
Wow. That is some stunning engineering! So cool.

Very good! Thank you Yoshimura. Hopefully you produce something similar for the bigger sibling MT-09 SP
The Aprilia starts with the same power as you ended up with, so as a race package a better starting point for a race or track bike and allot cheaper.
was a good race. must be so hard to be competitive though - seeing ari not come first really puts things in perspective
Agreed. Considering how well Ari knows the track, and how good he looked on the onboard lap he posted recently, I put him up there battling the top contenders.

Phenomenal bike…glad you still have the hat👍🏼
Crazy, wild, gorgeous paint scheme. I wish Yoshi entered a race with R15, MT15 and make parts for aftermarkets
Feel privileged to watch this. Your lucky man to get to ride her.
this is finest craftmanship !!!
That's a beauty
That livery is awesome! And all those truck parts:)
Wow what an experience man, super impressive and inspiring! Really is a dream come true, that was amazing Ari(el) Henning😉 👏💯👏 !
omg well done . i want the whole kit. maybe yamaha should mass produce a yoshimura edition ???
Crazy paint.
Saw this bike at the Newport RevZilla store this weekend, neat!
Beautiful bike. Screams race track
I absolutely love that thing
whoa i actually want this r7
Still one of the prettiest bikes around. 🔥
2 in 1 bike. Beautiful
That horsepower increase is insane, obviously fuel is a huge part of it but still WOW! Good job Yoshi!
Amazing work.
I heard that the Flat Track MT-07's are putting out 110 HP..
Love the paint
That is one beautiful bike. My goodness
Instantly won a spot as one my favorite liveries, up there with Miguel Duhamel/s CBR, the Kanji exceeds your average 'busa and the sheer aposematism
Thats crazy painted by hand

great job looks killer as well
Awesome project! And stellar bike.

I think the bike is on display at Revzilla Costa Mesa/Newport Beach.
Yup! Through this Sunday, 10/2
Amazing.
Can we have a video of you racing and how the bike sounds in race?
Great run down of the bike, Ari. Makes me want to step up from LW racing and go broke faster!

Do you plan to race it again next year at Laguna?
Okay....now build me one for the street!!!! I'll also take the orange and yellow livery on the whole bike please!! 🤣

Revzilla and Yosh should hire Kayla Yaakov and race the full MotoAmerica series next year. Support the sport.
So when’s Zack gonna ride it down a dirt road on the daily ride?

looks amazing! now imagine if you started with an rs660 instead or r7...
that LIVERY... omg
without the defining led lights at the front, this looks pretty much like the Yoshimura GSXR.
Amazing. So, for the mechanical handicapped like me but that just started doing track days, where in SoCal can I take my bike to have it track ready?
Most shops can do track-day prep. I offer basic prep as well.
Thumps up if you think Yamaha should build a street legal bike with this livery!!! Let's make it happen!
The only problem i see is revzilla doesn't make enough videos to like
Love it

not sure what i want to get next. r7 or rs660.....
when can we get that exhaust??
