It's going to be great! I'm about 2/3 of the way done with it. Still have to install the carpet, interior and audio system. I hope to have it done by the middle of September.
I love your videos Kyle, I feel like you show everything your doing and the video isn't super rushed, I'm excited to see what the 240SX will look like in the end and I will keep watching the videos until that point.
I've been watching your videos since 2011. You have come a long way. Keep up the hard work. You really give effort when you make videos and I learned a lot about cars from your videos. I really appreciate it. Your Nissan is sweet by the way.
And this is why I like old cars. If you have the patience to wade through that mess of wires and injector lines, you're a true professional in my mind.
The original motor will come out after this one is finished being rebuilt. Once it's out, I'll be having the engine bay resprayed in the original black, once I take everything else out, including the bumper, fenders, etc. The rest of the bodywork will be done later on. Trying to go in stages.
Great video. Only thing Id change is to make it a lot longer and show the dipping process and all the stuff he could not do. Really just a small thing. Thanks for the video. Cant wait to see the rest of what goes on.
Hey kyle i think you should get the engine bay sprayed along with body and maybe a full wire tuck and battery relocation would really make the bay beautiful
I have a full OEM type-x kit that will go on the car. I really like how it's more aggressive, but I wanted to go the extra mile and track down the original parts instead of getting fiberglass reproductions.
it took me 4 days to take the head off my 2.0 alfa romeo block. damn that boy was stuck. very glad its off now, but what a struggle that was. guess it doesnt go as supple as this when its 45 years old :p
Awesome - the only "cringe" worthy shot was using a torque wrench as a breaker bar for removal of the cam bolts but okay - I've see lots worse abuse of tools in the past - great to see some progress on getting the 240 up to where you want it to be! Thanks for sharing and look forward to more videos of all types (reviews, vlogs, etc)!
The hardest part about engines is the harness and the wires and ecu connection and you know you dont want to get confused and put the wrong on each and turn the car on it wont run probably as you want it to be
Kyle if you have a chance sometime would you do a review on a Ford F150 or 250 or one of the ford pick ups ? I am considering getting a new pickup and wanting to know more about them ?
Saabkyle04 Great video! I feel it could be slightly more of a conversation if you looked into the camera more often when describing what you want to do. Otherwise, keep up the great work!
Nice video bud, I like seeing the teardown and buildup of any car...With that being said I hope you don't put too much of this content out, I would hate to see you follow in EricTheCarGuys steps.
@SaabKyle04 don't 3 marks has to match...2 camshaft pulleys and 1 on crankshaft? At least that how i was doing when was replacing TB on my VW passat 2.0T!
Im a little lost as to why you put it at TDC before taking it apart...like when putting it together yeah but, its being taken apart things are going to move around and by the time you get it back none of that stuff will be aligned anymore, as far as the stuff i've seen anyway and you'll have to realign it again...Like if you were just doing the timing belt that makes sense but you took it down to the block...
I cant wait for part 2 of the interior restoration
It's going to be great! I'm about 2/3 of the way done with it. Still have to install the carpet, interior and audio system. I hope to have it done by the middle of September.
Really fun watching this project take form, while consuming someone else's time and money. :)
Keep the videos coming, great project.
I love your videos Kyle, I feel like you show everything your doing and the video isn't super rushed, I'm excited to see what the 240SX will look like in the end and I will keep watching the videos until that point.
Thank you my friend, I appreciate that!
That engine, at least the top, already looked clean.
Thanks for the video. Love your channel.
Kyle - this is shaping up to be my favorite car on UA-cam. Can't wait to see the progress. Keep it up, man!
I've been watching your videos since 2011. You have come a long way. Keep up the hard work. You really give effort when you make videos and I learned a lot about cars from your videos. I really appreciate it. Your Nissan is sweet by the way.
Thank you so much!!
Saabkyle04 No problem.
And this is why I like old cars. If you have the patience to wade through that mess of wires and injector lines, you're a true professional in my mind.
mazworx, can't go wrong with the best!
Great upgrade!
Im so happy to see you working on engines that really shows your truly a car guy
Please do more videos like this featuring the RB. Got yourself a new subscriber.
Really exciting project Kyle!
Film as much as you can!
SaabKyle, the kind of man who calls himself Saab while having a viper and modding a rb25
Dude is a joke, i've been here for years
omar fuller and is a licensed pharmacist (or was)
This is hilarious and very true! If some hasn't already seen my channel trailer, they're probably so confused right about now XD
Saabkyle04 hi I'm your biggest car watcher. Can you do a request of a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu 3.5 start up video please.?
Without Saab he would be a regular Kyle.
Central Florida is not to Bad at the time.
He is disassembling the 240SX's New Engine and could be way responding.
As the engine is out perhaps you should get the car professionally resprayed in the colour that you wanted?
Anonymous I think this is another motor, not the one from the car. He will replace the old one whit this one.
Victor Noel Cory Paz he means repainting the car... Since the engine is out, he can paint the engine bay
Leo Nope. The engine is not out, this is another motor not the one which is currently inside the 240.
The original motor will come out after this one is finished being rebuilt. Once it's out, I'll be having the engine bay resprayed in the original black, once I take everything else out, including the bumper, fenders, etc. The rest of the bodywork will be done later on. Trying to go in stages.
Saabkyle04 Thanks for clarifying it.
Impressed - I would have struggled with this project.
I never realized how weirdly satisfying engine teardown videos are.
2:18 That motor is 100% made in Japan, i can even see the hiragana writings on the valve cover..
Maurizza Radhitya no shit it's an rb.. out of a gtr which is made in Japan
you mean GTS-T its only a RB25. not a RB26 from a GTR
Maurizza Radhitya gts25t... r33 motor
Great video. Only thing Id change is to make it a lot longer and show the dipping process and all the stuff he could not do. Really just a small thing. Thanks for the video. Cant wait to see the rest of what goes on.
Man, this build is going to be sweet.
This is awesome, more please!
Lots more to come!
Saabkyle04 I appreciate all the effort you make. Thanks Mr. Kyle!
Hey kyle i think you should get the engine bay sprayed along with body and maybe a full wire tuck and battery relocation would really make the bay beautiful

Well you got the easy part done, great job!!
You rebuilding it with forged internals right?

Yes sir!
You should put a kouki front bumper on the 240, it looks much better imo
Maybe for you,but I personnaly think that one is better.
Parkski Gaming shark nose > 180 > pig nose
I have a full OEM type-x kit that will go on the car. I really like how it's more aggressive, but I wanted to go the extra mile and track down the original parts instead of getting fiberglass reproductions.
Love this build keep up the great work man

5:45 who also loves the sound
Trini Flag on that S15!
Great Video. See you next year.
Good video, that engines in good shape only broke 1 bolt
Awesome - the only "cringe" worthy shot was using a torque wrench as a breaker bar for removal of the cam bolts but okay - I've see lots worse abuse of tools in the past - great to see some progress on getting the 240 up to where you want it to be! Love to see that Trinidad and Tobago flag on the s15.
Car mechanic 2018
Holy sh*t that was a complicated process! I'm pretty handy around cars, but not sure I'd tackle any of this myself.
COOL Disassembling the 240SX's New Engine! The RB Fun Begins!
The hardest part about engines is the harness and the wires and ecu connection and you know you dont want to get confused and put the wrong on each and turn the car on it wont run probably as you want it to be
Great effort. I'd get half way though stripping that engine and question all my life choices...
Such a dad
This videos have been incredible Kyle!
Sincerely, other kyle
👍 good work man !
That was sweet.
I’m watching this while recreating the car in Forza Horizon 3
Is this your first time doing this ? I would not know how to re-assemble it after seeing you disassemble it. Good job and good luck.

Great videos.
Take an engine apart is one thing. Different ballgame putting it back together :-) Is it a shoehorning operation to get it into the 240?
Kyle, hit up hp logic in palm beach!! Too put the motor in!! They are the best in florida trust me!!
Great Vid!
nice kyle!
Nice job, Kyle! Will the Bel Air be a restomod project, too?
Wonder why the 1st and 6th cylinders exhaust ports are darker than the rest?
10:11 The guy who owns that truck is a pats fan UGGGHHHH
Should have labeled those connections for easy reassemble, unless you have something else in mind.
Is that a defect sticker on the windshield of the R33 behind him at roughly 9:00-10:00?
Kyle if you have a chance sometime would you do a review on a Ford F150 or 250 or one of the ford pick ups ? I am considering getting a new pickup and wanting to know more about them ?
doesnt the rb25 have a manual which describes in what order to tighten/loosen the head bolts
Saabkyle04, can you plz review a:
"Vanderhall Laguna"?
I love your face and your voice 😄
well RB25 is not the best choice but its you project!
U should've gave some of those parts to Adam LZ seein that his car always breaking down 😂😂
Kyle I hope your engine made it through hurricane Irma, I would sure hate to see all this work go down the drain..
More vids on it Kyle 😁
Saabkyle04 Great video! I feel it could be slightly more of a conversation if you looked into the camera more often when describing what you want to do. Otherwise, keep up the great work!
How can you work on this if you just learned about taking timing belt off?
Nice video bud, I like seeing the teardown and buildup of any car...With that being said I hope you don't put too much of this content out, I would hate to see you follow in EricTheCarGuys steps.
Could you do a review of the new 2018 Hyundai Elantra gt sport? I'm considering it as a new car and would like an in depth review
@SaabKyle04 don't 3 marks has to match...2 camshaft pulleys and 1 on crankshaft? At least that how i was doing when was replacing TB on my VW passat 2.0T!
But i guess for dissassebling it doesn't matter
Now is DYI rb25
Nice
Keep the gallo 24, dont switch to the 12

You should have SR20DET swapped!
Chaos Zombie999 rb or jz maybe a 7mgte from mk3 supra sound the best

Im a little lost as to why you put it at TDC before taking it apart...like when putting it together yeah but, its being taken apart things are going to move around and by the time you get it back none of that stuff will be aligned anymore, as far as the stuff i've seen anyway and you'll have to realign it again...Like if you were just doing the timing belt that makes sense but you took it down to the block...
Inqu Fox It allows extra clearance to get the head bolts out 👍🏻
Ohh alright, thanks for clearing that up~
What is the best, rb or jz engine
Saabkyle04 do a dry oil sump system
