This is the first 240 video of yours I've watched and it's so entertaining to watch you be you and not just a professional reviewer. Definitely gonna continue watching this series.
Thank you so much for you feedback! I'm having a blast with this and it's really helping me become more comfortable on camera. Much respect to all of the vloggers out there, I don't know how they do it haha.
Saabkyle04 put an agency power exhaust or special or hks I'd prefer agency power because it changes the sound completely understand like other exhausts that only change the tone and a few other stuff
Saabkyle04 look up agency power exhaust there are comparisons of stock boxer exhaust to agency power (yes it's made for the boxer but trust mw.its amazing)
Great video! That trip where the exhaust just breaks on the highway is what makes cars so special. It's about the experiences we get from them not all the specs and numbers.
Saabkyle04 depends on the power you make😉I'm sure you could fit some small Mickey Thompson drag radials on the back, if not you could get some bigger wheels that are still from a nissan
Saabkyle04 oh and as far as nothing new you could do to a 240, there still are options out there (Ferrari motors, lambo motors, royce, bentley, v10's, a duramax diesel v8 swap etc..)
This same thing happened to my ex mark 2 Golf 1.6d on my way home from uni. It sounded amazing cruising the top speed of 70mph windows open, the fumes of diesel in my nostrils.. God I loved that car
You sir is a legend. Classic cars should stay to their origins and an RB is always the way to go, forget 2J and 1J, THIS IS THE WAY :)) Thanks for this
It looks really good from about 20 feet away and on camera. There's dents and dings all over it, the bumpers have faded, there's some paint missing from the drip rails, etc. It'll need a lot of bodywork done to it. I've already done a video just cleaning it up, but that's about all you can do at this point.
A soon as he mentioned they specialized in Skylines it was an immediate lightbulb moment where I said to myself, "Either RB25 or 26 for sure" and sure enough! Awesome choice and it's going to sound and perform really well. Congrats and can't wait to see future of this build
Makes me miss the very first car given to me just before I got my license. 1989 Nissan 240SX hatchback in the same color as yours Kyle. My brother had it and a red 1995 240SX coupe. He gave me the 89 because it was an automatic and I needed a car. First, and last time I drove it the motor was basically "walking" for lack of better term, so he decided he would fix it. He drove it to town and discovered an overheating issue. After that I got my other brothers 99 S-10. The 240 had sat about 6 months prior to the day I got it and sat in my yard for nearly 3 years after. I miss that car so much I so want one again
Kyle, I miss your old videos so much! Can you do a video about some classic American car in the near future? I know that modern cars are great, but it would be really nice to see some review of good old Cadillac.
Hey Nicholas! I'd love to, but where I'm located, those opportunities are few and far between. I've been looking into it, but there aren't many places that will let you drive classics for a "road test" type review. I hope that changes in the future, but rest assured that it is in the back of my mind. Thank you!!
I like the fact that u will only put NISSAN parts in a Nissan, because ive seen some lexus v8 nissan, ls nissans, 2jz n shit, i mean its ok with Japanese motors buuuut, I dont like it. A Toyota Powered Nissan, Id like a Nissan Poweres Nissan, because i like my Nissan To be fast, not my Toyota :I u know?
basically what I read from these comments "I don't want the superior engine, I don't care if you can make double the power for less, I don't care that it's way lighter than our precious 4 banger S10 sized motor, I don't care it's easier to work on, I don't care that there's no benefit to our 90's shit box motors!"
Aloha from Hawai'i Kyle, just discovered your channel and subscribed. Thank you for not being yet another generic "how to put a Chevy LS in a 240SX " video. Kudos to your awesome engine choice and planned upgrades, can't wait to see the rebuild commence.
Thank you Kyle for taking us through this project and showing so much that is involved in this project. They had a concept version of the 1971 a few years ago at the car shows. It almost came back. I see your goal for your project. In a lot of ways the older cars and better than newer cars. You have to invest in the older ones. Once you do.. boy oh boy..
"Except for this piece" 😹😹 Btw, damn, you look so in love and so enthusiastic about it, it's just awesome. Hope everything comes out as planned 👌 greetings from Puerto Rico
I live near Charlotte and actually drove down to Sanford to check out Rivsu too. Steve and Emily were awesome!!! Will definitely go through them if I ever get an R32 GTR!
Hell yeah Kyle!! I was hoping so bad that it would be an rb20 or 25... doing something different than the typical 2jz. I'm really excited to see where you take this. good luck!
Kyle, personally I would go for a sleeper look. There are barely any stock exterior 240SX left and it would be epic to have this engine in a stock exterior 240!!!
I'm so glad Kyle stuck to the brand. I'm sick of 2j swaps already, they're pretty much in every car now. To me, RB's are the superior motor. Plus they sound 1000000000000x better
The car is in good shape (no cracks in the dash, etc.), but it needs a lot of work. Thankfully, it's a good platform to start with as all of the important bits are in good shape. There's no point in keeping this car stock as it's not pristine. You might as well have some fun, make a beautiful car and create something special in the end. What wouldn't be good is if you put all of the money, and perhaps even more, in fixing up a rough 240 with a cracked dash and other forms of damage. Don't forget this is a restoration/restomod project, taking the car's best attributes, enhancing them and restoring the rest with a focus on keeping as much OEM Nissan as possible.
NICE! I've been a fan for many years, and I see what you're saying. It is good that you're keeping it somewhat original, and also having some fun with it. Best of luck!
I'm pumped to see the whole build. Looking forward the video series you have planned for this. of course I'm going to watch all the videos. gonna be sick man. happy for you!! as always great job on the video.
Kyle love the upgrades your doing to the 240sx! I do miss the skyline R34 GTR, got me into foreign sports cars. Can't wait for the finish product! Keep up the great work, you are the man!
Lol with the exhaust. When I was a 10ish year old kid, one side of the exhaust detached from the manifold of my family's 1972 Chevy Sportscoach rv's 454. Talk about loud. I remember my dad starting it up after we got gas...the poor lady asleep in the car next to us must have thought there was a drive by from a Sherman tank she shot up and ducked so fast lol.
Kyle we all know you're just gonna drop the v10 from your viper in it don't lie to us
Jaden Evans nah will be the bugatti w16
There's a viper v10 240z. no ones Coyote swapd a 240sx
Some Dude theres a coyote swapped 240 on craigslist.

Thank you so much for you feedback! I'm having a blast with this and it's really helping me become more comfortable on camera. Much respect to all of the vloggers out there, I don't know how they do it haha.
That's excellent advice, I think about it way too much haha.
Saabkyle04 put an agency power exhaust or special or hks I'd prefer agency power because it changes the sound completely understand like other exhausts that only change the tone and a few other stuff
Saabkyle04 look up agency power exhaust there are comparisons of stock boxer exhaust to agency power (yes it's made for the boxer but trust mw.its amazing)
or a nismk exhaust from r35 or 370
"Soapy Wooder" from "ChrisFix" 6:19
Rigoberto Chavez "TM"
Rigoberto Chavez they actually made a video together
Ahahaha
I'll save the time to say the motor for you guys... it's a Prius motor swap
Danggg, you got me! XD
Saabkyle04 I love yore channel I watched it ever sense 2014 and subbed in 2016 (: I like yore channel you are the best
v8 engine would be great
nah is an r34 engine.
Noah Sherman LS1 with a pair of electronic 4 inch cut outs.
ThatDudeInBlue's 2JZGTE big turbo vs your 240 when its finished! DO IT!
I recently watched his dyno video on blueJZ and I think we have the same turbocharger haha.
MetalheadEchidna David would probably review it as well
Great choice Kyle. Gonna be fun to watch
Thanks Blake!
Saabkyle04 this car is going to be awesome !!!
Saabkyle04 ....2017 3500 Silverado review please .....
RB25 is an interesting choice. I can't wait to see how the 240SX will come out looking like.
Trades46 WHY'D YOU SPOIL IT😩
Future note: never read comments before watching a video without being prepared to be spoiled XD
Trades46 one more litre
Trades46 for
At least it sound good with muffler fail.
Very true haha, the drone on the highway is killer though XD
Saabkyle04 but hey it sound so good now (: LOL
Saabkyle04 شكرا لك 👍👍
Saabkyle04 who cares, it sounds awesome
thank god its an RB
Stephen Cain Why the RB?
Stephen Cain no motor has the same character as any other
i guess idk what your trying to say by that
Just thank god it's not an SR
What u talking about? He's going LS!
It's a RB25DET, should have been a 1J haha still love you though p.s do a drift 🙊✌️
Hahahaha, the Monkey 1J hype! Love it!
MONKY LONDON 1j wooo wooo. Rb25 ni cari masalah
MONKY LONDON what's wrong with the rb? Why 1j over it?
Reliable bruh
Faris Ali rb's are more fragile...
Great video! That trip where the exhaust just breaks on the highway is what makes cars so special. It's about the experiences we get from them not all the specs and numbers.
Sounds awesome Kyle! Can't wait to see how it turns out.
You should make this the ultimate sleeper, keep the stock Wheels as well. Then challenge people at stop lights, it whould make a Great video/videos
Yeah that would! Those 15X6" wheels and 205 tires wouldn't stand a chance though haha.
KARL 240's can never be sleepers though.
That red Rx-7 got me going. (I'm a huge Mazda and rotary fan)
It was in pretty good shape too, wouldn't mind taking it for a test drive XD
Same!!! I love import but rotary has a particularly special place in my heart 💛 brapbrapbrapbrap
that 180 is beautiful. those wheels make it look so good
This same thing happened to my ex mark 2 Golf 1.6d on my way home from uni. It sounded amazing cruising the top speed of 70mph windows open, the fumes of diesel in my nostrils.. God I loved that car
Finally someone doing something other than a 2j :D Congrats!
Thanks buddy!
AMBush Drift -Aren't you getting a LS?-
Honestly was so happy to see an rb, so sick of all these LSx 240s, getting really boring.
It'll be really cool when it's done, thank you!
So excited for you, man! Can't wait to see more things that you do for your project. I'm living through you, with this video.
rb25 with the type x kit, 240 DONE RIGHT 👊
* Pulls off cover * I actually didn't pick anything I want to keep it stock
You sir is a legend. Classic cars should stay to their origins and an RB is always the way to go, forget 2J and 1J, THIS IS THE WAY :)) Thanks for this
Thank you for watching! :)
That RIVSU place looks fantastic . Soooo many amazing cars in their workshop.
YAAAAAAASSSSSS!!!!!! Finally someone listened and is keeping it OG! Not revealing the engine but it's perfect!
just came across this video I'd just like to say good luck to you man I'll be watching your journey good luck and have a great day
Thank you so much, same to you!
Is a repaint really necessary? Because it actually looks okay and it would be even better with polishing and paint correction.
It looks really good from about 20 feet away and on camera. There's dents and dings all over it, the bumpers have faded, there's some paint missing from the drip rails, etc. It'll need a lot of bodywork done to it. Thanks a lot Jacob!!

Thank you :)
Saabkyle04 ahahahhahahha that exughst (: ahhaahhahaahahahaahahahahaahaahahah

I completely agree with you
Alexander F Agreed.
Alexander F true that 👍🏻
the reason people put LS's and 2JZ's is because its cheaper then a RB and more reliable then the SR20.
Alexander F you sound so fucking stupid
im excited to watch this car's restoration. You already know its going to come out mint since Kyle isnt some 16 yr old drift noob.
Amazing engine, the sound, the power... Had it in my r33 and miss so much in v35 now. Enjoy it!
You wanna know something nobody has done to a 240. Keep it stock
It's not worth keeping stock. The car isn't pristine enough, it would take a lot of work for not a lot of reward in the end.
Da Fox yeah, milan mastracci has a very pristine one so he's gonna buy another to work on
because its trash in stock form
nice demon shirt!
That's awesome. Can't wait to see where this goes!
Don't even need a new engine with the sound you got coming from your car now! XD super excited to see the engine all finished up though!
In a world full of JZ's and LS' be an RB!
Saabkyle04 Nice videos! Keep up the awesome work!! And 😂 What camera do you use?
Thanks buddy! I primarily shoot with a Canon Vixia HF G30 at 1080p and 60fps :)
Saabkyle04 (: I like that 240SX it rare to find stock
Saabkyle04 I like skyline and SUPRA AND basically all cars but skyline and SUPRA are the ones that are my fave
Thats litterally the motor I want to put in a 240... So jealous. Cant wait for this series.
Kyle is such a cool, humble guy
if i was an arab sheik i would go shopping in that garage... i think i would buy all of them.
+God I would buy the garage.
NOT AN LS! LS is lighter and makes way way way more power with bolt ons
I wanted to keep a Nissan engine in a Nissan. If I wanted an LS, I would have just gotten a Camaro haha.
TanTanBednarski You're disgusting shut up about your stupid ls
basically what I read from these comments "I don't want the superior engine, I don't care if you can make double the power for less, I don't care that it's way lighter than our precious 4 banger S10 sized motor, I don't care it's easier to work on, I don't care that there's no benefit to our 90's shit box motors!"
TanTanBednarski what I've read is that it's not your car...
Lol "superior", a coyote or voodoo engine is far more superior to that pos ls engine lmao!
so glad to see you picked a good engine. congrats I'm stoked for you kyle
I remember watching your videos before I even had a car, can't wait to see the build!
THANK YOU FOR CHOOSING A RB25 BECAUSE EVERYONE GOES 2J. THANK YOU!!!
Thank you for watching! The RB is going to be insane!
Cancel the build and just buy that Rx-7.
Hahahaha XD
if you building RX-7 never swap it never swap it
Aloha from Hawai'i Kyle, just discovered your channel and subscribed. Thank you for not being yet another generic "how to put a Chevy LS in a 240SX " video. Kudos to your awesome engine choice and planned upgrades, can't wait to see the rebuild commence.

Thank you so much for watching! :)
Mother of god that Type-X s13 is what I want mine to look like! Holy shit that's pretty!
Yeah man, it was gorgeous!
Thanks! Check out more pics of it on my IG: @teddyless
I cannot wait to see how it will sound once you are done.
They sound like that they are great at fixing cars. That Nissan GTR is such a nice car. I love that silver exterior too.
Amazing choice Kyle this is going to be so fun to watch
Your videos always make me feel happy.
This is how you restomod a car. Rebuild the engine to take the power rather than slapping on an eBay turbo. Great video.
Great choice of motor the RB2 engine is such a great engine for modifications and it will suite your car perfectly
The Japanese did a great job with the skylines. I’m proud to be a Toyota owner and my car is from the 90’s.
Great choice, Kyle. Good luck with the swap and drive safe brother!
Great project direction - can't wait to see the final project....
Im so glad you are keeping the 240 a NIssan. Your going to love the RB25 BTW
Now that's a good choice! imagine how good the Nissan will sound!
Very nice, Kyle! Looking forward to your future videos of this car!
I like the way you explain your build down to every detail.
I'm really excited to see where you take this. good luck!
His laugh... Perfect!
Kyle, personally I would go for a sleeper look. There are barely any stock exterior 240SX left and it would be epic to have this engine in a stock exterior 240!!!
Go all the way with it dude, rebuild it like a Skyline GTR.
Cant wait to see the finished product!
Kyle congrats with your build, everything sounds great.
it's sounds EPIC your videos are always the best !
My relatively stock rb25 in my s14 rips so cant imagine what itll be like. Ur motor build is my dream.
Good choice Kylie!!!! your gonna love it!
Looking forward to see more of the 240sx!
Can tell he's excited.
You are a young Scotty Kilmer in the **best** way.
An s13 with a type x kit is my favourite car, and if its oem with an oem lip its even better
:)
Before I saw this video I told myself, "What if it's an RB?" Then he unveiled it and it was. So cool I guess.
I'm definitely not an import guy, but it's cool seeing someone get the car they want!
The only stock 240 se sx, now it's no longer a mithical unicorn.
Now it's a rb monster!
Good choice Saabkyle04. I'm looking forward to future videos of the 240. Can't wait :-)
NOT A JZ! FINALLY! THANK YOU KYLE!
Thanks for your great vids Kyle! Enjoy this build!
This is gonna be awesome! I can't wait to see once it's done!
"The exhaust literally snapped in half!"
Cody from SML be like: "IN HALF!!!
This is awesome! I was expecting a 1jz but this blows it out of the water :)
Not like anyone else on UA-cam is doing a 240sx build... but you know ill still watch lol
Can't help what everyone else does, just do what you want to do and have fun ;)
Congrats kyle! Excited to see what the future holds for your 240
I can't wait to see the build!!!!!! 😯😯😯😯
I'm so glad Kyle stuck to the brand. I'm sick of 2j swaps already, they're pretty much in every car now. To me, RB's are the superior motor. Plus they sound 1000000000000x better

Kyle love the upgrades your doing to the 240sx! I do miss the skyline R34 GTR, got me into foreign sports cars. Can't wait for the finish product! Keep up the great work, you are the man!
can't wait to see it complete :)
David Cameron Wow lmao
This is going to be an awesome car, can't wait to see how it turns out.
Should be an awesome project Kyle. I won't lie at first I was expecting an LS motor, but I'm glad you stuck with a Nissan engine.
Thanks bud, I think a lot of people were haha.
That black r32 oml I'd trade my Evo for that in a heartbeat!
Thanks for not putting a LS in there. I've seen and hear to many UA-camrs say "I'm waiting/looking for a LS to put in my 240"
Y'all clearly don't live in New England where your exhaust falling in half is basically a weekly occurrence. :P
