I AM SHOCKED WITH THIS PIPE! Fatbob build / Pipe swap / Screamin' Eagle / Explained / Best Pipe Yet?

  • Some of you may remember when I tried this pipe a couple of years ago on a 117ci Lowrider S with a drop in Stage 2 Cam.
    The results were less than I thought & the sound of the pipe at idle was a little underwhelming too.
    This time however, I have it on the 128ci Fatbob I have built & been playing around with & I am shocked with how this Screamin' Eagle 2-1 has performed.
    I did not expect it to be better than the D&D Lowcat 2-1 by the margin it did.
    Sure, it does not have the best sound at idle, but then again, a lot of the time my customers want a quieter option so they do not disturb the neighbours.
    This pipe still has a great sound when under load & at cruise speeds & I am actually starting to really like it.
    I should point out that I have removed the Cat from the pipe too. I am not sure if that is a good or bad thing for performance, however I am still shocked that it beat the D&D pipe by 10hp!!!!

    Man.... that is a significant increase.... I did not expect that. If only it wasnt so large and bulbous. It looks better on a fatbob than a lowrider S though for sure. You probably dont have time for another cam swap, but would love to see an Andrews 485 in there. Very little information about it out there so far. Thanks for the great videos, looking forward to the next one.

      I know exactly what you mean about it.
      It actually does suit the Fatbob a lot better, but I'm still not sold on the looks of it.
      If I see the apprentice with idle hands I will have him swap out the cam. It will most likely be the CR515 though sorry.
      Only because I have it here in stock.

      Would have made more power with an HPI, Sawicki, or Fab28 2-into-1. The other exhaust I mentioned also look and sound a lot better, and weigh less than the Screamin' Eagle emissions compliant junk.

      @UnrulyRider 3 місяці тому +3

      @@jimyounger9490 The whole point of running a Screamin Eagle exhaust is that it meets emissions requirements and will still be honored under a factory warranty. They gutted the catalyst so it no longer meets emissions or be covered under warranty should something happen. Why not just run the better exhaust from the start? The money is better spent in the aftermarket exhaust if you want looks, performance, and sound.

    • @danr919
      @danr919 3 місяці тому +1

      Everyone or 98% of Motorcycle tuners in OZ use STD smoothing 5 when dyno tuning and you get your print out so if that’s the way they doing it and only comparing with the Majority it doesn’t really matter

    • @UnrulyRider
      @UnrulyRider 3 місяці тому +3

      @@danr919 Cool, here in the states we use SAE as its closer to real world numbers... STD is always a bit higher. The correction factor could be set to zero allowing the number to read higher as well. All tricks many dyno operators play to get higher numbers. Not saying that is what was done here, but I've seen it more than a few times.
