I was trained in Isshinryu, a similar style to gojuryu. We share most of the same kata and theory of fighting, but not all. If I punch someone in the Jaw as hard as I can punch, it will break their Jaw. If you punch me in the body, I passed Sanchin Kata breathing, and I won't even flinch, even though yes, I am overweiight and 23 years out of practice, I can still do that. I can still punch a concrete and wood composite headboard and break it, and I can still thrust kick through two of them stacked. Not those crappy ponderosa pine boards. I'm talking about the headboards of a sturdy bed. I can PUNCH that and break it in half or kick through two of them stacked, because I was trained by an Okinawan GM. I'm a natural 185 pounder, but I can beat a natural heavyweight or superheavyweight in a fight, even if they are a second degree black belt. That's because I trained harder than anyone else in my sensei's dojo, and he trained us to REALLY beat the snot out of anyone in a self defense situation.

David and Goliath...at 4:22 the big guy was running out of gas, nice take down on him with that opponent. I must say that I am surprised the smaller opponents were not attacking his thighs more...to cut a tree down attack the base. Thanks for the video.
Correct me if I'm wrong. I think the problem with the guy was that he didn't manage his stamina well. He was winning the first fight, but he also spent more energy moving around than he needed to in that fight. As the result, after the first half of the fight, he started breathing heavily, by the end of the fight, he looked really exhausted, while the smaller one (although he lost) looked like he could go for a few more rounds. In the second fight, he was tired enough for the opponent to take the initiative for a while. But by the third fight, we can clearly see he had almost nothing left.
It's also hard because you don't want to disrespect your teacher and opponents by holding back. Karate is 100% commitment, unlike kickboxing where you might ace yourself for the later rounds.

Yeah they do! It's called Iri Kumi
our goji school did this on a regular. it definitely builds fighting spirit.
Rarely do, more to please the western society.
@@terryc3747 lol .. who told you that ?
Very impressive!
Cool asf, bring more videos like this
THis art if complimented by boxing is a great foundation for anyone wanting to know proper self defense
Wow...consider the number of leg kicks and gut punches he ate on top of having to spar for over 10 minutes without any real rest. That's some rough stuff right there. Also, what's with their push ups?
Tired
I am appreciative of what real fighting looks like and not the BS you see in the movies.
The man has heart.
but no skills!
A great test of the mind over matter.A true representation of ones self. Cannot be understood until it reaches you. What is your limit ?
Hands up if you've ever rested by taking a beating...
The following week he felt pain all over his body having been beat up like a punching bag.
これは地獄の辛さやと思う
百烈乱舞
これおれ最初の3本でばてて後半
死んだ
相手が変わって体力満タンで来られるのバカきつそうですね
David and Goliath...at 4:22 the big guy was running out of gas, nice take down on him with that opponent. I must say that I am surprised the smaller opponents were not attacking his thighs more...to cut a tree down attack the base. Thanks for the video.
That's sparring session looked pretty rough much respect congratulations
I think he's being graded too not sure
Nice test, full contact sparring 1 vs 10, big vs small.
White guy straight outta World of Warcraft tournament.
11:58 you call those push ups?
Isso que é uma boa luta
The big guy have the level of an yelow belt.
Stephen Brown rather the other 10 is classic, and the weakers began the fight.
Most of the time big guys need less training their size overcomes technique with power.
Not even yellow. He fights like an untrained teenager in an after-school fight.
I was thinking White Belt
Hes a black belt, period. You can see the school hes at
Correct me if I'm wrong.
Also taking hits to the lower areas(Legs and torso) can be very exhausting by itself.
It's also hard because you don't want to disrespect your teacher and opponents by holding back. Karate is 100% commitment, unlike kickboxing where you might ace yourself for the later rounds.
@@geoffwingard1636Not holding back is very different from spending energy on unnecessary movements mate.
I was thinking they were going to throw in the yellow belt girl lol
I would pay cash to see that! 😅😅😅😅
Good to see the effort big buy, One tip i can give you is to go see a Kyokushin Karate Dojo where 10 man kumite is a pretty normal thing. I'm sure you could take a lot from it back in to Goju
Body hardening at its finest.
Awesome video! He's a giant dude with great spirit, but I think heshould be using he's knees more to hit the mid section instead of of lowering his body to hit it with punches, cause that makes him vulnerable to head kicks.
Judd Reid would have a field day if he were there. Imagine fighting 90 more opponents.
U comparing low level black belts to s master of kyokushin
Unfair comparison
This lad is fighting first time full contact whereas Judd Sensei has had 30 years of daily full contact
Savvas Perisanidis I am a bit teeny jealous of this guy lol. Karate here in the Uk is NOTHING like you see in the video.
Proper respect to this guy for sparring hard, he’s going to be a great martial artist with time.
Bellamyfanboy what style friend ?
Savvas Perisanidis Shotokan
Bellamyfanboy me to
Jka 4 dan
Message me on fb
Same name
Well done to the big guy for keeping going though he was clearly tuckered out after #4
This look like kyokushin, can someone explain the similarity ?
Coincidence
Goju ryu is one of the parent styles of Kyokushin. The other being Shotokan.
Trebla Nerol Gnatibgam Yep, I like to think of it like this, Goju and Shotokan got married and had a son, they named him Kyokushin.
@@songoku9348 it also has korean and japanese kempo also taekkeon and muai thai, boxing influence. Originally kyokushin also had components of judo and head punching. But it all got lost.
Karate roots on okinawan style.
This isn't as fast paced as I'm used to but I appreciate that it's not taps.
"Endure!", "use your power!", haha. The two smallest guys wrecked him the most. But he took it, so props to him. That's tough for anybody.
First guy did great.
He took all the punishment from the big guy and that too when the big guy was full of energy.
Goyu Ryu or Kyokushin Karate ?
Goju Ryu
Kyokushin
O Kyokushin teve o Goju como base para a sua criação. Oyama treinou Goju Ryu! Ossu 🥋
Kyokushin is the sport form of basic Goju (green belt)and Shotokan for K-1 fights.
Goju-ryu
That is Okinawan karate beautiful full contact great video guy has my full respect so do the 10 fighter
Ossu saludos🥋🥋
