sick build! though I notice when you fold out your table it sags a little. You might want to think about a supporting leaf on the cabinet-side of things so that the span is less. Or maybe a metal inlay-support but that would def be much more work
I learned woodworking in college, and it took me a long time to get my shop together once I graduated. Even after I bought my first house, it took forever because of all the house projects. Good luck with your hobby, and I hope your table doesn't sag too much.
You need a simple L fence for the table saw. Makes cutting angles, cutting template rectangular shapes, or flush trimming bullet proof and fast… except for really tall boards of course but other than that it works very well
Don't know if your aware but your end grain on your solid glue up needs to be opposite of each other (one up the next down) and this should help keeping your glue ups flat
Hi, I would really appreciate it if you could reconsider the use of those beeping sounds (e.g @ 17:48). To me (and it seems to some others according to reddit) those high frequency 1 kHz beep sounds (or similar) are genuinely painful. If possible could you maybe look into using some other one? 🙂
all this build up and no footage of the table being used with your buddies, no slow b-roll of you eating or working at the table?! come on man, why you such a tease!
That was certainly the plan! But I had about 20 minutes to film B roll at the end there, and I think my friends need more than a 20 minute notice before a party haha.
I really hate this you tube trend of making carcases and all table tops from solid wood. All you're doing is catering to some false idea of authenticity or value while creating an object that is going to crack or warp over time, while also increasing the cost of a limited valuable resource, solid wood, so it is less likely to be available for a more appropriate use. Thank you for thinking it through.

"We don't do this, because it's easy.
We do it, because we thought it's gonna be easy" 😂
That was like 10x as much Rubio as you needed
Stealing the track saw floored me

Remember me as that guy in the black hoodie that would raid your apartment and play Mario party with you

👍👍👍
is it really a dining table
Pro tip: power tools are bad you should do everything by hand
As an English man I appreciate the attempt but we really don't talk like that!! 😅😂
