As somebody who is just getting started and getting into woodworking, your channel is awesome. So informative, helpful. Lots of good info to help me build out my tool collection. Great job, love it! :)
The potential issue with squaring a tablesaw blade with that small a square is that it's resting on the insert only. So, you have to be sure your insert is parallel to the table surface for the final cuts to be accurately square.
Matt. I appreciate that you have a sawstop, but you should endeavor to use it as though the blade could still do you harm. I understand that you don’t have a guard on for demonstration purposes. That said, reaching across and grabbing pieces while blade is live is super dangerous. If one of the pieces that you are picking up happens to get hooked on the blade or gets drawn back, it could potentially pull your hand back into the sawblade. at least give the warning to other users

I think Woodpecker needs to go the route of Craftsman tools. You could buy cheaper but that lifetime no questions asked warranty was what made them so popular and why people would pay more for a quality tool. I have a set of Woodpeckers rulers and they have been dropped and they have some dents on ends. It's not end of world but I can't be as precise now. Of course it's my own clumsy fault but I wasn't going to replace with Woodpecker when I can buy three or four of knockoff and then I don't cry when I drop one.
I was surprised to see that you ran the flat side of the router against the festool track. Do you mind me asking why? I’ve always used the round part, as it eliminates any errors if you turn the router a little while routing, if that makes sense. Thanks for the video. 🙏
I pick up F Clamps at Harbor Freight on the regular, as well as pipe clamp fixtures; they usually go on sale 2 or 3 times a year....but those quick clamps you were showing are much better than what they have at HF. The 2" orbital is amazing for scotchbrite and polishing pads as well, plenty of juice to polish metal work or solid surface counters.

Hey brother: I recently switched to metric, but before that realized I very rarely needed anything more precise than 16ths, and just did all measurements in 16ths. It’s much easier to add 3” & 6/16ths plus 7” and 14/16ths (3+7+ 20/16ths =11” & 4/16ths) Just an idea. Thanks!

i coud 3d print that sawy track holder for less than a buck thats wild theyre 30. You should really look into a 3d printer as they save so much money on overpriced plastic items.
I have been wanting one too. I’ve been using my miter gauge that has an aluminum auxiliary fence. Slide the fence toward the blade , leaving the width of the thin rip that you want. It doesn’t have the wheel but it works the same. Hopefully this will help until you can get the real thing.
In general I would heartily agree that man WP products are superior to knock offs albeit at a higher or hugely higher price. While some Amazon versions are not significantly cheaper you have to realize that WP charges an arm and a leg for shipping. For a company that has no bricks and mortar you’d think they’d be quite competitive or highly refined in shipping since it’s all they got. Sadly they are easily the most expensive shipping rates I’ve ever experienced. If you buy guitars from USA reps the shipping costs are pretty reasonable. Weights are similar but rates are hugely higher either WP. A German company that sells guitars of every weight, size and price have international shipment fees that are more reasonable then WP. If you want accurate then stick to igauging. Cheaper and highly accurate. WP over rated

Bro bro, for the love of all your fingers please never reach behind the blade and grab a piece of wood that is still in contact with it. If it some how some way was to bind and jerk it forward it will jerk your hand into the blade faster than you think.
going at that silicone mat like you're on an episode of Dr. Pimple Popper.
Radial arm saw makes thin rip jig worthless. Honestly, the radial arm saw makes table saws damn near worthless.
Might be seeing it wrong but did you reach over and grab your cut while the saw was still running?
And sisters! 😂
But you still get at the wend of the board for the last strip and CANT get there with the push tool,,, seems pointless and unnecessary???!
i coud 3d print that sawy track holder for less than a buck thats wild theyre 30. You should really look into a 3d printer as they save so much money on overpriced plastic items.
DFM square review. Do not use it on the table saw as demonstrated. The demo squared the blade to the INSERT, not the table saw bed.
An inexpensive, magnetic digital angle gauge does the job just fine
I’ve got to get a thin rip!!!! Been saying it for 2 months…lol
I have been wanting one too.
I’ve been using my miter gauge that has an aluminum auxiliary fence. Slide the fence toward the blade , leaving the width of the thin rip that you want. It doesn’t have the wheel but it works the same. Hopefully this will help until you can get the real thing.
Why no Kobalt reviews???
I do need to get some Kobalt tools. Any you recommend?
Kobalt came out with a band saw, 15 amp wood planer and drill press just a few weeks ago. @@731Woodworks
Matt. Why do you have what looks like a Russian Fedaration Flag on your tool wall??
That's not what it is. It's from 30 Seconds Out - cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0617/7485/files/nooneiscominglawenforcementflag.jpg?v=1715002698
@@731Woodworks My mistake, Sir. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to answer. It is very much appreciated. You're a superstar. 👍🏻
Please just do a build video
Build videos don't make money and the last two build videos he did people accused him of ripping off other people builds so why would Matt want to do a build video
use to like your channel until I went to your store and realize you charge money for everything no matter how small the item. guess you never can have enough money. but beware , you cant take all your money with you when you die!
Good grief, do you work for free? What if your business felt the same way about you and asked you to constantly put in tons of effort and time having little time for anything else and then said, na, you have enough money you dont need any more 🙄
helllo
