So they keep the clay in the ovens with drawers and you can do it barehand but most people were gloves. The old school guys say barehand gives them a better feel to what theyre doing. Thanks for the fond memories that were not so fond at the time lol.

The butter factory was probably the best. Those guys are really perfect for their craft, so passionate which is one of the many factors needed to make a truly remarkable craft item.
I feel so sad for the Cochineal farmers ! I don't know why people are against bug killing vs synthetic colors that are bad for you ! I wish I could get cochineal and support the growers in Mexico , unfortunately I don't have the buying power for that.
Vegetarians and vegans are sometimes militant about their views. They think absolutely no animal should be killed or harmed if we can help it even if they’re bugs 🙄. I feel bad for these farmers too 😢
"i think there's something in this butter" ITS CALLED *LIFE* , enjoyment, happiness, peace, passion, life!... while its not this in the traditional sense: he's in love
Also, that clay is NOT like Play-Doh, it is more like Sculpey and is a non-drying polymer clay, so you can just keep working and re-working it. Except in this case, it isn't a bake to set kind of thing, as it is never fully cured, but simply allowed to harden. Once the necessary scans have been taken off the clay model, it will eventually be broken back down and the clay salvaged for reuse.

These are really cool. The deep sea mining really peaks my interest, for a multitude of reasons. I do agree deep sea mining is definitely an avenue that should be explored. The thing most people don’t realize is there is no single “magic bullet” to fix the global warming and climate issues we are facing. It’s going to take a massive diversified effort from ever person, country, governing body, and company that n the planet to make a difference. Both the Smithsonian clips were awesome.
I have an idea for car designers. They have hands-free controls on the steering wheel for your radio and cruise control why not for heater and air conditioning and fan setting... The reason why I ask is I'm disabled and I drive with one hand and it's hard for me to reach over with my left hand to adjust the settings from the middle council. So why hasn't nobody thought of the idea of putting climate-controlled somewhere on the steering?
the main reason would be if the passenger wanted to control the conditioning, it being in the centre console allows for both parties to easily use it. While it's not impossible, the steering wheel is often reserved for immediate controls. 99% of companies rule the air con out of being worthy of steering wheel space, and its the tragic reality that designs just don't accommodate disabilities properly. As another comment said, voice command would be your best bet, or potentially a mod to route the electronic controls to the driver door next to the window controls. None of these options are great though.

The cars are basically metal skeletons with pegs all over and that indicates how much clay to use, but yeah, it has a really unique smell, kind of sweet. Thanks for the fond memories that were not so fond at the time lol.
Id love to work in the french butter workshop/ factory if Mr. Jean-Yves is there. What an awesome atmosphere he creates! Im.sure his products are delicious as well 😋
Everyone’s busy loving the butter master, he loves his butter and the employees seems to love-hate him 😂
fantastic. one of my favorite series so far... i like the touch where the historian in the cochineal segment wore a nice red, interestingly cochineal-like shirt :) .
The butter factory was probably the best. Those guys are really perfect for their craft, so passionate which is one of the many factors needed to make a truly remarkable craft item.
I love the professional bird scarers
I feel so sad for the Cochineal farmers ! I don't know why people are against bug killing vs synthetic colors that are bad for you !
I wish I could get cochineal and support the growers in Mexico , unfortunately I don't have the buying power for that.
Vegetarians and vegans are sometimes militant about their views. They think absolutely no animal should be killed or harmed if we can help it even if they’re bugs 🙄. I feel bad for these farmers too 😢
I love how all cars looks same, they are made by same designer but its top secret.
Jean-Yves was my favorite! He was such a cheery dude
Comments pass the vibe check. Glad to see everyone else loves Butter Man too 😂
oh my goodness climbing up that wind turbine ladder looks so exhausting!! At least they don't have to climb back down
This video has been suggested to me non-stop for months even though I've watched it lol
The body was fine before they put it in that machine and then got that guy's hands all over it no thanks
This video is one of the most fascinating videos I've ever seen. Seriously, amazing what you guys have done to showcase humanity's lesser seen angles.
The best epizode ever. Bravo
The seaweed butter is a brilliant idea. He’s a master chief for sure , he imagines food. Not everyone can imagine how flavors go together best.
"i think there's something in this butter" ITS CALLED *LIFE* , enjoyment, happiness, peace, passion, life!... while its not this in the traditional sense: he's in love
The butter guy had old timer enjoying and showing his passion in the typical Frenchman way rizz. The top tier rizz indeed.
Am I the only one ready to feel like challeing myself and change career in my 30s after watching this video?
came to the comments, hoping to find comments about the butter man and they did not disappoint. that man is a legend
That butter artisan is goofy af lol
haha seems like a very nice guy to hang out with and i can definitely see the passion for butter from him.
I'm french and he sounds like a very nice guy for sure ! He has the passion for butter
The butter artisan and mixer were so charming and funny! Loved their passon
I never thought id like a "well actually" comment as much as the butter man comments
@@dundun8640 I like collecting random trivia like this and it isn't often that I get the chance to use it.
Also, butter dude was really getting into his role. I was sitting there going "I'm sure it's very good butter, but this isn't an anime. People aren't going to have out-of-body reactions to tasting your food."
9 months later... love it... :) I am glad sculptors are going to still be needed.
I would LOVE to work on the clay models❤️
Wow. I just learned more about clay car models than in the past 64 years. Thanks.
Beautiful Work
💪❤️👍
I like how the art conservator is just casually in her living room, not even wearing gloves with a painting from the 1800s! I put more care into my Yu-Gi-Oh Cards!
Conservators often recommend against wearing gloves depending on what item they are handling
Oh man, after the lighthearted butter artisan… 24:52 The birb specialist was not what I was anticipating. Huge change of pace. 😂
No. Just no, This ain't it.
The butter guy. Oooh my god, the butter guy!!!😆😆 I adore him!!
No idea... but maybe its better if you seek a car with voice command assistant maybe for the next purchase.
the main reason would be if the passenger wanted to control the conditioning, it being in the centre console allows for both parties to easily use it.
What school does one need to go to to apply for these unique jobs?
😂
good question
凄い技術ですね♪
The Butter man is great.
I want him as my father 😁
Butter man taking over the comments 😂loved him tho
I would pay to work at the butter factory.
I can't believe I watched this almost four-hour video in one sitting!
busines insider just compiles the same videos over and over again in different ways and re uses them
Butter guy is so cool! He loves his job, it's inspiring.
I want a clay car now
This butter master is so cool. Imagine actually loving your job.
