Oh, what a sweetheart, you were, Joni Mitchell !!! Just Lovely !!! And so musically talented - wow !!! No one will ever be able to cover you, copy you, or even sing like you... Thanks MBSCompFix for this !!! Video, Music, Quality = It's great !!!
I LOVE this song. But only when it's sung by the one and only Joni Mitchell. I googled Big Yellow Taxi and some other dude came up, and I was like "No! Where's Joni Mitchell"!!!! Big Yellow Taxi always reminds me of the time in England when a group of businessmen - with no souls - had an Elizabethan building torn down to make way for a parking lot!!! It was the oldest building in London that was still standing, but they didn't care about that. Love from Amanda in Melbourne, Australia ❤️
Heidi you’re only 21 by now PLEASE don’t have kids Heidi I’m very serious. I know I’m just some shit head on the Internet but take it from this generation X guy, do not have kids! If you do you are a sadist.
Don't listen to this idiot. Kids are literally what life is about. No one on their death bed laments having to many children to love. Hey pal, maybe the problem is you if you can't derive happiness from what has been considered the most profound type of joy for all of human history.
I'm a healing Quadriplegic and can't spell but I know this song as I grew up when it was every where all the time. Very grateful for her political challenging as many would poor their souls out to spread the much needed reminder of what it is to care before we covet then to hold fast our families where culture begins by practice. I don't mean to badger UA-camrs with all that old hat... sorry I'll check next time space if when YVO
Look at all the people there just being quiet they know not to interrupt that beautiful song Joni hade such a good community it was actually peaceful at her concerts
As far as I know Joni is recovering well. I LOVE you Joni :) Damn you, Counting Crows! I have lived a lie my whole life! They paved Paradise and put up a parking lot - I liked it better when it was Paradise.
Dear Mindundi Cabreao, I agree, I never get tired of hearing or seeing her either. I think it's because her music and her voice never sound old, you know? And we can all relate to the words of this song. Love from Amanda in Australia ❤️
One tough Canuck for sure.... A freak had just tried to take over her piano, fought with security, & she still had the guts to chew the crowd out for "acting like tourists".
If you went straight from playing in front of 8 people at your local coffee shop to being pushed out onto the stage at Woodstock in front of 500,000 people, almost nobody would be able to cope with that. However, if over the course of a few months you progress from playing 8 to 50 to 300 to 1000 and 10,000, then that stage at Woodstock isn't quite as scary.
They paved Paradise and put up a parking lot - I liked it better when it was Paradise. As far as I know Joni is recovering well. I LOVE you Joni :) You just can't help but love her! I was nine years old when she was singing that.
So sorry to hear she is in intensive care I have been a fan for a long time Ohhh those cracks and nuances in her voice are everything! Cant even be captured in the studio.
f'ing awesome By the way "my old man" meant her boyfriend those days. Not her father. f'ing awesome As far as I know Joni is recovering well. I LOVE you Joni :)
Have to admit I didn't take Joni seriously until I heard her with Jaco Pastorious... Yes Weather Report/ Jazz Fusion freak. But I learned that Joni is amazing...
One of the best songs ever written. As time goes on it becomes more a reflection on society and increased greed and obsession with money
Absolutely true pikeman80. 👍
So true 👍
Yep. Everywhere. Follow the $$ ua-cam.com/video/g3g9_dnjaFY/v-deo.html

What a great time. Great concert. Thousands of people there and the microphones are taped together with masking tape.THAT, my friends, is OLD SCHOOL!
Hasen Pfeffer if I'm not mistaken, I think the other set of Mike's would be for a TV recording.
The giggle at the end, warms my heart.

Hello
Do you know an approximate date of when the building was demolished?
Thank you
Sad us Hippies knew what was going to happen then but couldn't stop it. It is not too late for the youth of today to stop it. Peace
Kinni Wright should've done something poser
Don’t confuse hippies who where into Jesus and Freedom with today’s Leftist Atheists .Love the hippies hate the leftist movement.
@@robertprest638 Take religion out of the equation please. That's archaic thinking and society will be better once it disappears. It's all bs.
Religion is not the problem people are. Take away religion your still gonna have shit.
The hippies would have loved Trump since he's all about peace. His foreign policy alone cements his greatest for all time.
Ohhh those cracks and nuances in her voice are everything! Cant even be captured in the studio.
Joni Mitchell is like a beautiful songbird.
Im 20 now, I wish and feel like I should've been 20 THEN. but it all good ☺️😊

When I get to Heaven, I'm gonna marry Joni Mitchell...
Balls of steel to stand up there all alone in front of that many people.
