When I wash my brushes I always take my brush holders and wash them with dish soap. I have some acrylic holders I got at Walmart in the bathroom accessory aisle for fairly cheap
OMG You have me bawling, I had to pause. keeping the tarte brush from Grandma is not hoarding, there's a difference between intense sentimental value. 💙🙏 PS: right before that, I bet that small stippler you bought for cream contour!!
I used to think real technique brushes weren't worth the hype but when I bought the eyes set I realized they were I love how u can find then at tj Maxx or Ross now they're so soft and don't shed when u wash them. Love this brush declutter
I have more eye brushes then face brushes my favorite highlighting brush the is the elf flawless concealer brush and some of my favorite eye brushes are the wet n wild small eyeshadow brush, the wet n wild crease brush and the elf crease brush (the white handle one) and I really like the brush that come with the anastasia palettes cause it blends out my crease really nice
The tweezerman foundation brush would be great for blending out thick concealers like shape tape, elf camo, etc... The angled flat kabuki type brushes I use with setting powder to get up under my eye area.
Wow! You did great getting rid of that many! I wish I had even a quarter of what you kept. I have 7 brushes. I can't imagine cleaning all the ones you started the video with.
Hi! Just wondering what do you use to clean your brushes? I've been looking for better alternatives to the baby shampoo I use because it just doesn't do a good enough job.
I have more brushes than you have on the table. What I do is, for the week I have my weekly makeup and only use a 5 eyeshadow brushes, 5 face brushes and a face sponge for the week. I see what I like and what I don’t this is how I decide what to part with. At the end of the week I only have 10 brushes and a sponge to wash. Than I switch my weekly makeup and weekly brushes. And start the process over and over. So I never have a ton of brushes to wash. Every week I weed out my makeup and brushes.
I know this video is almost a year old, and not sure if someone has ever suggested this. BUT this is something I do all the time! The old sigm blending brush thats a little wrecked, instead of buying a new one or throwinv it out, just take the handle off and replace it with one of the one you're throwing out thats the same sized handle. I hope that made sense! It saves money, and if the brush is still good, just replace the handle with ones you're already throwing out. Also if the metal part falls off, just glue it back on! (Probably a no brainer but thought Id still mention it just in case) Loved the Video!
@@slashedbeauty what you might want to use to clean your brush holders is a bottle brush for cleaning baby bottle that's what I use and I just use dish soap
I HATE it when I'm not even 5 seconds into the video and I'm already told to SUBSCRIIIIIIBE. What I have to subscribe because I saw your face 2 seconds ?
Awww, that Tarte brush is so special - yes, definitely keep it!
That purple shirt goes with your hair perfectly!
Lol so true!!

I have a whole post about it here! slashedbeauty.com/how-to-clean-makeup-brushes-if-you-have-sensitive-skin/
Love declutters. Proud of you. You’re a lot stronger than me.
Sometimes you just have to quit overthinking and throw it in the bag!
I never saw the brush declutter, im happy you throw like half of them, i know it's comfy to have always clean brushes, but you don't need so many! 😄
So true!!! I feel like I keep a big collection so I don't have to watch them as much but that's not great either lol. Thanks for watching!!
I cannot believe how many brushes you have. Wish I had that many. Great video.
It was way too overwhelming with all of them!
I like to use wood glue to glue my brushes back together most makeup brushes have wood handles and I have the Elmer's wood glue and it's waterproof
I'll need to try that! Thank you!

Save the Tarte brush forever. What a beautiful memory! Thank you for sharing it 💖
I was surprised to get so emotional but thought it was a decent reason to hoard!
Grandma would be proud.

ENTRY : now that's a lot of brush!
Anytime I wash my makeup brushes I always wash my makeup brush holders
I try to, these are so annoying to clean because of the tight corners. How do you do yours?

If you really like the sigma e45 why don't you just get another one 🤔🤷

You should try the BK Beauty brushes, they are the best at my opinion.
