Ion cubs are born instinctively knowing to run for safety and hide whenever mom is facing danger. So I'm sure they got outta there running toward some tall grass nearby to hide. Their mom will call for them when trouble subsides and they'll come out of their hiding place to greet her. I think the lioness attacked their dominant male out of anger for him taking so long to rescue the situation. By the time he showed up, supper had been turned into an all out shit-show. 😂
If you noticed, the lion who stayed over the kill for a short time was a young adolescent ale. The hyenas mobbed the female lion, but, pretty much left him alone. Maybe they can sense the change or level of aggression between even young male lions and female lions.
Male tiger cannot even stand against 10 red dogs or indian wild dogs the smallest wild dogs in the worlds and over 70% spotted hyena(the biggest and the deadliest) hyena death cause by male lion alone. So they are true king of carnivores.
All those hyenas could kill the male Lion if they attacked at the same time, he'd have no change. But that would come with a price, he'd kill some hyenas too. The thing is hyenas fear the male lion, that's why they always chose to run and wait.
This seems too unreal for camera. I have no words as to how unbelievable this is. It's like they've been christened by the grace of God to be feared and immediately respected upon sight. Their opponents coded to give up. No other being has the energy given off by a full grown male lion that is in its territory. Seeing a famous person being hoarded over to is completely different to seeing a male lion get feared and respected this much when just about everyone there can gang on it and kill it. In our society the strongest can be ganged upon by everyone and brought down to level if what they want at that moment is to take what everyone is fighting for rather than provide a solution. What stops that in modern times even when they are doing so is law and a stronger security detail...in the jungle without law and that much great amount of a security detail these creatures still managing to achieve this is beyond science. Truly something to be jealous of. I bet all the lionesses tell the young male lion cubs to work hard and be a full grown male lion

There were hits and misses in this video. You should have shown us where the cubs went. They disappeared when the lionesses confronted the hyenas. We missed a wonderful moment when the fully maned lion was being attacked by the lionesses, you should have kept rolling and fully capture that moment. The best photographer captures best moments and never before caught on tape footages and doesn’t drops their camera to view with their eyes because of the shock of what is happening. Do better.

Imagine if you were in this situation - a big male approaches, and all hyenas in the clan run away, who is shocked and loses focus. That's what happened here, causing the camera to shake and resulting in this sky shot.😊

The lioness had cubs. They did a great job of protecting them. Props to mama they really put up a fight. There was like 50 hyenas..
