At 3:17 both the lioness and male lion in grass are camping to watch the leader’s back, and the leader just times his march forward and then charges to push the hyenas back, it’s like a tactical military movement. Did the cubs survive?
Answer:The reason why is because if the animal jumps into the jeep it will get stuck and the humans look bigger in the car and they could just drive away...Or just that the animals are not interested in us.

It's like asking them to attack a tree just to get some monkeys on the top, would a lion ever do that?? nope. Also, lions have a natural fear of humans, so even if they do notice them, they'd rather just avoid and not cause any conflict. Lastly, overtime, lions have gotten used to the jeep and they're more comfortable around it and see it as jus a random being that isn't a threat or a meal. It is something that they haven't developed a strategy to hunt and it's something completely random, so they ignore.

It’s actually safe, the lion doesn’t see details like the separation between people and the vehicle. The vehicle with people on board is perceived as a unique item. Just don’t stand up cause you’ll modify the shape of the vehicle and get the lion curios.

He was from a different pride and was probably out of his territory. He was attracted by the commotion and vocalizing of the hyenas.
The two male lions feeding on the kill would have killed him. Lions are very territorial...and two against one...he would have lost.
At one point I really thought there was a chance the hyenas could kill him.

@@kingzion6386 The jeep can make loud aggressive noises which intimidate the lions and not to mention the lions know that the jeep is made up of something that isn't edible. It's like asking them to attack a tree just to get some monkeys on the top, would a lion ever do that?? nope. Also, lions have a natural fear of humans, so even if they do notice them, they'd rather just avoid and not cause any conflict. Lastly, overtime, lions have gotten used to the jeep and they're more comfortable around it and see it as jus a random being that isn't a threat or a meal. It is something that they haven't developed a strategy to hunt and it's something completely random, so they ignore.
I wonder if the hyenas are looking at the jackal thinking "damn that's one goofy looking hyena" or if the jackal is looking at the hyenas thinking "damn that's one goofy looking jackal"

I love how when 1 of the male lions is finished his meal and has full energy reserves again, he spends it going after Hyenas to keep his pride safe.

Excellent HD quality video (can even see the veins on the lions back and the rib lines of the lionesses !), depicting all the lion behavior (dominance by the darker_mane male, aggression, keeping the lioness away from feeds but allowing the cubs, keeping the hyenas at bay, territorial marking); a must see video for all those interested in lion behavior details. The POV and the zooming in and out are fantastic. Unbelievable self-control from the people watching, allowing the natural sounds to be heard. Well done !!!

They know they cant eat the jeeps...they are smarter then they look. Did you notice how the male lion even tried to lure the hyenas away from the cubs by taking the giraffe body parts further away while the other male chased them also.

You have to hand it to Hyenas. I don't much like them but they are relentless and practically fearless when it comes to getting their share. The only thing that really freaks them out is Big Daddy with the '80s Big Hairdo.

@Maximus Autizmus I study and work with lions and I've seen hundreds of kills..I seen 1 male lion kill a buffalo lots of times....I've also seen male lions being killed by a buffalo and hyenas have killed a male lion! ! The eating a buffalo alive may have been because the buffalo was stuck in a mud bath but never have I seen a male lion eat a healthy buffalo alive !! Lol
