Business CD/Stereo Replacement - BMW 325Ci E46

I am swapping out my Business CD/Stereo from my BMW 325Ci E46. The display is intermittent and usually unreadable. I found and ordered a used replacement unit (identical P/N CD53 65 12-6 921 963) on eBay. The switch-out was a piece of cake. No security codes or any of that to deal with.

Where did you find the iPod connection and how is it done. Appreciate any info. 🙏🏼

I purchased the adapter from Dice Electronics back in like 2008. the specific model I bought is out of production, but you can find them on eBay. Mine interfaces with a old-school 30-pin iPod. The adapter box plugs into the 6-CD changer connector that's buried on the left side of the trunk. They supply enough cable to have the iPod in the Glove box, but I just left the iPod out the trunk in a home-made shock mount--you can control everything right from the existing Business CD panel. I think Dice Electronics makes newer versions that work with BlueTooth. Here's a link to one i found on eBay that looks like the one I installed. www.ebay.com/itm/164740799296
