I'll leave a comment about Kawai. Kawai is the type of bully who tries to portray herself as a very nice person. If you mentioning at the singing scene u can see that Kawai started mounthing the words early and Shoko looked over that why she started singing.

Kawai is also super quick to deflect onto others. Ishiya just asks if she said anything about it and she immediately gets defensive and starts mouthing off. And most likely Kawai IS the one who talked about it.
The big difference between Ueno and Kawai, and the difference that makes Ueno much better that Kawai is that Ueno is honest, she's speaks her mind, and she knows she's trash, she's self aware. Kawai is the complete opposite, she hates being seen as the bad guy, when things get rough, she manipulates the closest people to her like what she did with Matsuba, when she threw Ishida under the bus. She doesn't deserve to be in this friend group, Ueno still has redeeming qualities like we saw at the end there.

She is who she is, and doesn't play around it. Kawaii is a manipulator and does more damage than an outright bully could ever do. I've grown up with bullies, and lived with manipulators, narcassists, and sociopaths. I'll take a flat out bully over a manipulator, any day.

Shoyo after the repercussions became the scapegoat. Not saying it was right, just adding some perspective on what was going on. There are many complexities when it comes to a social environment. Teacher not being more involved, a person having an infatuation with another, but not knowing how to express it, a single mother that may be to busy to even learn how to learn sign language and communicate with her daughter, etc etc. There are many variables. This is why people tend to stick to a safe space, whether it be self isolation, sticking to a a community with "group think," seeking control and manipulation, etc etc. The choices we make are tough, and to be honest, morally gray. Narratively, Ueno is the voice of both Shoko and Shoya’s darkest thoughts. Shoko feels like a burden in the movie and Ueno is the one to voice it and make her doubt herself. Whenever she’s with Shoya, she reminds him of the past and makes him question if he’s making amends with Shoko for her or for selfish reasons, as if subtly asking “have you really changed?”
I love this movie, is one of my favorites and helped me in one of my lowest points in life, what i get from the movie is that we need to keep living and learn how beautyfull life is, even from the wrongs you have done you can always atone for them, and that everyone is worth of a life
If you really love this one, you should try watching Violet Evergarden because it's animated by the same studio! Honestly, Kyoto Animation can only make good animes.

Yes, this anime is a masterpiece, but I hope that you will watch not only anime, but also just movies. Must-watch movies for all people living on earth (in my opinion): Troy 2004, (an epic with great actors and great battles), The Impossible 2012 (a tense disaster movie based on an incredible true story that is hard to believe), Whiplash 2014 (I would never have thought that a film related to music could be so intense and make you excite so much), The Notebook 2004 (me as a non - lover of romantic films, I really liked this one), Seven 1995 (great actors in a great thriller), Cast Away 2000 (a film that makes you think about many things in life, a gorgeous film, it will not leave anyone indifferent), The Sixth Sense 1999 (I love this Bruce Willis movie and the child actor deserves an Oscar), Léon 1994 (you will definitely not be bored in this movie!), Back to the Future 1885 (Part 1,2,3) (a classic for all time), Oh, I forgot to mention the "Titanic", there are some people who haven't seen it😳, and it's very strange🤯, because it's a mast see!
