Hahaha
Don't forget the grilled cheese that was actually just a Cuban in disguise
@@johnnycoolguy9554 if you're talking about Molly's, in no way was that close to a Cuban lol
It's a Melt
also Claire's sandwich is a tomato melt, not a grilled cheese
This is what I l9ve about bon apetit. The chefs have different perspecrive on different sorts of things. So now we have a grilled cheese recipe for every mood.
When Chris explained the burnt cheese to his son, it literally reminded me of Remy explaining distinct flavors of cheese and strawberry in ratatouille. Classic Remy(Chris)!
Saarah Amir he acts just like him
he does sniff his food before eating and takes small rat-like bites
I’ll never be able to unsee this! He’ll always be Remy now... Sniffing, nibbling away and lighting up with excitement over a new flavor-gasm!
All I'm saying is we've never seen them together
Chris WOULD talk to his children exactly the way he talks to everyone else
so do my parents, worked well for the four of us 😂
Nick Sande my parents were different. Not baby talk or anything but different.
I think it’s good to be yourself with your kids. Softballing or putting on an act makes it’s harder for your kids to know you imo.
he literally called his son "bro"
omg, the way he whispered (*I want you to experience something...*)
Chris: “I want you to experience something.”
That, right there, is my kinda parenting haha
captured an intimate moment some of us will never forget
The fact that Molly, Chris, and Claire all cut their sandwiches horizontally didn't surprise me at all.

Sohla’s looked so good!!!
The pfp, the username, all of it
I love it
Imagine Cosmo being a regular on Gourmet Makes.
Claire: *having a mental meltdown*
Cosmo: TRICKY SITUATION
I NEED THIS. If we have GARLA on It's Alive we NEEEEED Cosmo on Gourmet Makes! But he's a minor so I would understand if they can't do it or if Carla wouldn't want that
Wasn't he the sour expert on all the sour candy episodes?
We're no longer counting the days Molly, we're counting Mayo's.
Charles Dunton Yes, he was! He was the shape that Claire wanted her sour patch kids to look like 😂😂
Molly: Ben doesn't want to be on camera
BA: *blurs his face out*
BA: Also includes a full-face shot right before that
the one where he requests they blur him out
he probably didn't want to eat on camera
goawaygoogle That’s not how it works.
IIshABanana hi
Hi Ben! now the internet knows what you look like, and that is Forever!
sohla is so talented and puts so much more effort into keeping it interesting. I love Chris too.
"Claire's took half an hour."
Brad: "Yeeeah, that makes sense."
The vanilla bean situation presents their spinoff project “tricky situation” featuring mother son duo Carla and Cosmo Lalli Music
I love Carla and Cosmo so much!!!!
The fact that Chris dragged his kid through the mud to prove how good the grill cheese taste kinda makes me wanna try his version more
Yeah it was the onion detection kids have.
Listen, if you don't drag your child through the mud when they are young, you'll never get ahead, trust me.
Jajajajjajajajajaja I was thinking the same.
Could Chris add the littlest bit of Dijon?🎇
@@pucciann I bet that would have been a perfect addition.
i swear to god this whole group was so wholesome, and it makes me sad, to know, i'll never see them together again :(
"SHE'S A CLEVER ONE, THAT HALF-SOUR"
@@itsgoingtobeok-justbreathe4808 the its Alive pickles episode is the genesis of the nickname half sour. She also references it in the ben and jerrys ep of gourmet makes with her flavour *been watching waaaay too much ba in quarantine,
I know exactly what grilled cheese Chris is talking about in his intro. It is without a doubt my favorite grilled cheese I've ever had. I used to live nearby and would go at least once a month. The guy has since opened an actual storefront near the market. It's called Kappacasein :)
Yay... Good to know someone has tasted the actual thing..
I went to that stall too...but sadly didn't have the grilled cheese. Got raclette scraped over new potatoes instead. Absolutely delicious though
Molly’s husband: “blur me out”
Editor: *blurs his face after his face was already shown*
Yeah
Cosmo and Carla are what every parent and child should strive for
Chris interrupting his own video because he was baking cookies is the most quarantine thing I've ever seen.
"we're not sure what's on Amiel's fridge either" - it's a bean guide! Those are beans taped on paper next to their names. Why? Your guess is as good as mine, but there you are.
Came here to say this, scrolled down thinking "I can't be the first person to realize those are beans!" Am not disappointed to see I was not. Not a bad idea, actually, if you have a garden and/or cook with different kinds of beans a lot (Christmas limas are *amazing* even if you don't like lima beans.)
Thank you! My brain did not comprehend those tape shapes
Maybe he buys beans in bulk and doesn't have labels?
Chris' Kid: *vomits*
Chris: That means it's good
Garrett Hesselink that part just made me laugh so much
Chris: "If you're gonna be crazy, you won't be invited in the video. And this is a grilled cheese video, this is the kinda video you wanna be a part of. Trust me."
Plot twist, his son didn't like the grilled cheese
"How long is this usually supposed to take?"
"Claire's took 30 minutes."
"Oh f***."
Easily my favourite part of the episode.
@Alexandra McLean it's bc she started w a cold pan, kept it at a low temp and never even covered it so the cheese took forever to melt lmao
@@lucysrz3496 she also had her cats being adorable nuisances, and any pet owner knows you slap that temp to low because sooner or later they'll be at it again.

@@vrrrmin oh okay thanks
Chris roasting his own child's taste in food is sending me
and the fact his kid is called martin omg
Chris made a good point about his sandwich! Usually when kids don't like something, it's gonna be bomb for you!
I dont have kids but I agree
I don’t even know what a kid is and I agree
Well, kids' taste buds are not well suited for strong flavors like spice or tang so they dont really appreciate good food as grown ups do
I bet Cosmo would like Chris's sandwich.
@@glennvasquez196 Exactly!

Hi plzzzzzzzzzzz watch our unique golden carmalized Chocolate recipe full.,I REQUEST YOU A LOT
while I'm a big proponent of the diagonal cut, I feel like horizontal cuts on country style loafs like Chris and Molly did is ok. horizontal cuts on standard bread like Claire did offends me though lol.
Same and my girlfriend is also the same way. So whenever I'm making sandwiches and I'm annoyed at her I cut her sandwiches horizontally or vertically and mine diagonally because I'm petty like that.
She hates it.
With Molly it made sense because diagonal gives you two knives.
i go vertical
I agree 100%
The horizontal cuts prove who the real agents of chaos are in the test kitchen.
Never had anything like Sohla's sandwich, but, you know, I really want one.
I've seen something similar with fig jam, but no pakora batter. Sounds like the best combination - salty, sweet, crispy.
Pakora batter is so delicious.
I've always had it without the dates and cheese but she's really making me wanna try it
why is nobody talking about how wholesome chris and his kid are
I am loving it!!
everyone talks about it
We all need "ooey gooey in times of sadness." Thank you, Sohla!
Lawful Good: Chris' grilled cheese
Chaotic Evil: Amiel's "grilled cheese"
That just perfectly encapsulates Amiel and Chris.
Chris: a true grilled cheese
Ameil: sardine melt?
Chris to his child: "The fact that you're booing means that YOU FELT SOMETHING! That's what I wanted!"
I'm hella loving Sohla's increased screen time, she's such a sweetie omg
Bread pakora tastes so much better when the base is made of gram flour!
And chaat masala is magical, sprinkle it on diced fruits, like apples and bananas, and it boosts their taste SO MUCH!
Chickpea flour and gram flour - same thing
The only time horizontal cuts are acceptable is on sourdough bread.
It's gotta be cut so it has a long edge!
I literally was just about to comment this
Yes! Thank you.
That good sourdough doesn't always lend to a diagonal cut because the slice can be too wide.
"it's that need for ooey-gooey in times of sadness"

Chris is so "no nonsense" that it's hard to realize he's a parent. And it turns out he's a very "no nonsense" parent too. Lol, I love it 💕
I love that even BA parents have to hide vegetables and make plain things for some of their little kids. Kids be kids, even if your Dad's a chef. Haha.
Seeing Chris Morocco's son flip a grilled cheese made my day 🥺
