- Join Carla Lalli Music, Alex Delany, Chris Morocco, Sohla El-Waylly, Amiel Stanek, Priya Krishna, Molly Baz, Rick Martinez, Brad Leone and Claire Saffitz for another episode of Test Kitchen Talks. This time, we took the advice of viewer Kylee Hill, who on an earlier video suggested: 'They should give each chef a recipe with all the ingredients measured out in front of them. The catch is they don't know what the recipe is.' That was a good idea, Kylee, so we did that.

Priya: it's falafel, but I didn't want falafel, so I made what I wanted to eat.
I don't know, is falafel not a thing in the US? I think a lot of ppl in Germany, and especially in Berlin, they would've immediately guessed falafel. You can get it in basically every kebab shop (and almost every town has at least one)...
Maybe not everywhere in the US, but very common in NYC, where all these folks are. I imagine these folks see so many more possibilities with the same ingredients that the obvious choice has a lot more competition.
