    Bought this today. I used my 144hz 1080p tn panel for over 9 years. Inever used an ips panel but i never hated it or had any problems. All i do is game and youtube web browsing etc. Fps is very important for me. I play old games like cs and halo mcc using a gtx 1080ti and a ryzen 5900x. I will upgrade my gpu once prices are acceptable. I bought this to play older games at a higher resolution and high fps. The IPS counterparts are like 250 bucks more expensive. People hate Tn panels but i was ok with it and dont have any complaints since i just sit in front of it and just play or watch UA-cam. I hope i made the right choice to go for this instead of a 165hz ips which where i live is only around 100 bucks cheaper. I went for max fps to futureproof and make the jump from my old monitor to this one more noticable. I am a huge fan of high fps in games. Lets wait and see..

    Nice review! , i have a Benq Xl2411P and is very good for gaming , and the colors are very great... TN panels are the best for gaming.... i buy a 27 IPS and give me motion sickness.... return it and buy OLED 27 1440p , and the motion sickness feel very bad too , worst that ips panel .... for people have PWM sensivite the best is a TN panel... in my opinion this Hp is the best monitor for gaming... head to head Benq zowie 2546k =)
    my advise... don´t buy a Oled monitor.... burn your eyes in 20m of gaming , you gona feel very dizzy , trust me

    Had the monitor for 3 years now and It’s great. However my only gripe with it is I can never get HDR to work on it. Even when I enable HDR in settings on windows the monitor still doesn’t activate HDR, and says on the monitor settings HDR is off and won’t let me turn it on. I even connected my Xbox Series X to it (which works perfectly with my LG CX) and the Xbox says the display does not support HDR, and can’t seem to do anything to get HDR working on the monitor.
    Can anyone help with this or is it just a case of the HDR support for the Omen X27 is just very lacking?

    fantastic review! I do have s Serious question tho, Im an owner of 3 monitors LG GL850 144Hz 27" 1ms 1440p IPS / ASUS ROG SWIFT PG278QR 165Hz 27" 1ms 1440p TN / Dell S2417DG 165Hz 24" 1ms 1440p TN. My Gpu is an Asus RTX 3080 TUF Gaming OC and Im playing Fast paced FPS games at a competitive level. Having said that my particular gpu performs way better at 1440p than 1080p. What I need is the absolute fastest responce time and lowest possible input lag. Dont care that much for colour accuracy as for a fast responce time and that clean sharp antighosting stellar TN motion. Having said that i realised my eyes are screen coating sensitive, what i mean i cannot stand at all that greyish tinted "whites" of a medium-heavy screen coated panel as my ASUS ROG SWIFT PG278QR has but instead i prefer that light screen coating of my Dell S2417DG where all whites are 100% whites with no gravel type of greyish tint all over it. My Question is> How would u describe the screen coating of the Omen x27 as i had an eye to insta - buy this model especially for that no input lag whatsoever, the TN panel and above all that Sweet 240Hz! P.S. i heard the coating is on the medium-heavy side rather the medium-light side.. thats seriously the Only thing that is holding me back.

    • @WayneWebbFilms
      @WayneWebbFilms  3 роки тому +1

      Hi dude, firstly I probably could answer the question with any accuracy because it's subjective and not something I have a comparison to judge it against. Secondly I am not in possession of the monitor now. I decided a little after doing the video that I actually needed an IPS panel. The viewing angles and colour accuracy actually caused me issues in a few videos whilst using it and it wasn't until later on that I realised how much I really needed an IPS. Always learning and all that :)
      For gaming it is fantastic and you seem to have a vast selection of monitors at the moment that I'm not totally sure this will see a vast improvementover any of them, but as I said before it's subjective. I've owned the Dell 24" version and the ROG monitor (IPS version as well) and enjoyed using them all. Good luck in getting your answer and I'm sure you'll be happy of you do end up with it. Maybe get it from Amazon and send it back if you're not 100% happy.

      @@kostistsiutras4373 Let me know was it good. I need the lowest response time and lowest input lag with at LEAST 165hz or Above 1440p monitor. I'm playing comp only and I absokutely hate my monitor. It's Asus Rog swift 1440p 165hz 4ms IPS 27inch G sync monitor. The picture quality is really good but is is so bad for comp gaming. Lots of ghosting and the response time is super slow. I can see a HUGE difference between my old 1080p 144hz TN panel monitor.

    So I'm thinking about buying a 1080p monitor with 240 hz for very good frames in Warzone or buying this one but where I would loose some frames. What do you think I should do? I have a 3070 with AMD Ryzen 9 3900x

    • @WayneWebbFilms
      @WayneWebbFilms  3 роки тому +1

      From what I gather, the War zone engine allows a maximum of 144fps (hz). I really like 1440p and also have a 1080p 144hz monitor, but I do feel that there is little difference above 144hz and lots of other factors from server or Internet quality shape your gaming experience. I would say go 1440p, the 3070 is a beast of a card, but save a bit of money and go for a 144/165hz monitor. That said the 165hz ips version of this monitor or the new 27i are excellent choices. Both have gsync which is great considering you have a 3070. Anyway, I hope this helps.

      Hi, I don't have it still, but a serious question, is your notebook capable of pushing 1440p 240hz? The 2060 is a good card and I know that csgo isn't that taxing, but my current system 5600x with a 6600xt at 1080p high is struggling to keep over 100fps with Fortnite. The only thing I'm scared about is the lack of dark equaliser. I see in battlefield footage you've shown that certain areas are pretty dark, if an enemy was in there, I wouldn't be able to see them.
    Have you used only dark settings and low brightness or?
    Does it get better after some tinkering?
    Do you have visibility issues at all when playing, especially in BFV which already has vis.issues?
    Would you recomment this monitor over Lenovo Legion Y27gq-25? Price doesn't matter to me.
    Its either x 27, aforementioned lenovo, or back to 1080p with omen x 25 or zowie XL2546K.. The only use of the monitor would be gaming at a higher level. System is top of the line i9 12900k + rtx 3090
    I really can't pick my poison here lol.
