Good job for deleting the chrome. Not my taste either.
Thanks! I’ll be tossing my black lugs on this week. Then I will officially be done.
Cleaner without sticker, shouldve done a gloss black z71 on front quarter . You may want to credit Lonestar Hawaiian seeing as you copied him.
I give him a lot of credit, he makes some great videos. I like the matte look on the bed side and the fenders, since the bumpers are glossy.
@@TheBlueGarage I did gloss black on quarter because handles on doors are gloss and so is badging on tailgate. The sticker on rear if removed give it a clean look. Do you have the Chevrolet on tailgate inlayed in black?
And no disrespect on the Lonestar Hawaiian comment on copy comment. I like the things he has done and its nice you saw the same as well.
@@chadzich I’d love to see how that looks. Do you have an Instagram? I do have the black inlay on the tailgate. Check out my walk-around video. I go over all of my mods to date.
I watch all Lonestar Hawaiian’s vids. But I think the matte Z71 emblems are common across the board. I just hate chrome.
Just some criticism please don't take it the wrong way but spit out the gum and unlike the other UA-camrs you mentioned keep the videos short and sweet that's what I hate the most about the others I know some times it's not possible but more people would rather watch a 15 min video Rather than a long one good luck with the channel I'll be watching I have the same truck with the 6.2
Thanks, I appreciate it
What kind of wax do you use
I used the Butter Wax from the Chemical Guys for this video.
You and I have the same truck with the same mods. I did the carbon wrap on the doors and center console, tinted windows, short antenna, bed cover. I also added a 2in ReadyLift and Toyo 34in tires👍
Im skeptical on the cold air intake. Not sure it really adds anything
You gotta let it breathe. It’s not necessarily going to be a drastic change, but it will be somewhat noticeable. How you drive with the new intake will also determine if you see the added fuel efficiency too.
You can get some Colorlugs to go over those chrome lug nuts. 21-23 mm is the size you want. They fit over the existing chrome ones and also include a little tool for removing them when need be
Thanks! I actually thought about that. I have a good friend who is selling me his black OEM lugs already.
Do you have a link for the center caps?

Here you go. 👍🏻
I wish I could buy the Pulsar, but they won’t ship it to California. Yet one more way we get screwed!
Sucks, that doesn’t make any sense.
Dude, just find a FRIEND or family ,MEMBER who DON'T live in cali, buy, it ask the merchant 2 ship it 2 that person, n they can turn AROUND n ship it 2 U.🤘🇺🇸.
@@andrewmichael814 I know. One of these days!
Wow😍!!! That blue color looks fantastic.
Thanks brother!
Sick!!! Get a lift kit and some wheels next.
I definitely plan on going with 6” lift and 35s.
Dope Truck, I like that your new to UA-cam because I'm new to trucks and I plan on getting 1 of these really soon !
Thanks man! I’m new to a lot of this. My hope is to show others that beginners can do all of this stuff on their own, much like I have been doing already.
Nice mods! I didn’t want to do a muffler delete but that sounds so good… I may have to
Thank you! Cheap, quick, and easy. It’s only temporary until I get my long tube headers and full catback exhaust down the road.
And here I thought you were going to get a Jeep ✌✌
I had that on my list, but couldn't help myself. I will get way more use out of a truck, especially once we get our house.
@@TheBlueGarage I’m sure you will!
Nice vid... I just bought a 2021 TB and interested in where you bought the cold air intake, ram air and pulsar unit.. Thanks
Thank you! The cold air intake is from Cold Air Inductions, the ram air is from Stillen and I have a video review on the Pulsar LT that I purchased from BuyP3.com. If you use my promo code from that video, you get $50 off at checkout.
@@TheBlueGarage awesome thank you very much for the reply and information. I will check out the pulsar vid. I’m definitely going to buy it

I appreciate that, thank you!
You're welcome! Congratulations looking forward to more videos
Will installing the pulsar and intake void the warranty
They will not, unless installed improperly and that directly causes an issue.
In this video did you only do a muffler delete or did you delete the resonators?
Just the muffler and flapper delete. I left the resonators.
Do you leave your pulsar on when you take to dealer?
I have in the past, no issues.
Man I got one with a 6.2 need to mod it
Nice truck man!!, i just got my 2023 trail boss im thinking of header and full exhaust system what do u have on and what brand would fit 2023 model if you know appropriate if you share details with me thank you
Nice! Congrats on the new truck. I might be in the market soon as well. More news to come soon on that front. I don’t have headers on, just a muffler and flapper valve delete. I kept the resonators on too. I have since thrown on the ported 6.2L throttle body and intake manifold, along with an AirAid 6.2L Throttle Body Spacer. Every single detail helped in making all the difference too.
Which performance mod gave you the most noticeable fuel efficiency increase. Currently averaging 16 combined.
I average about 18-18.5 combined. The Cold Air Intake and the Throttle Body Spacer are a must if you’re looking to maximize your fuel efficiency. Both super easy installs, that can be done at the same time too.
@@TheBlueGarage What is the make/model of the throttle body spacer? Thanks!!!
@@arsenalbaseball2460 it’s made by Airaid. Links below.

@@TheBlueGarage awesome, thanks for the response!
How do I make my 2022 trail boss add more horsepower
Cold Air Intake (~10hp), Ported Intake Manifold & Throttle Body (~15hp) or Supercharger (~200hp), headers (~15hp), Exhaust (~15hp), or you can modify your ECU. There are a lot of options and most just increase in small increments, but it all adds up.
Nice truck. Where did u get the black center caps?

Beautiful truck 👍✌️🇨🇦
Thank you 🤙🏻
I'm so afraid to void my extended warranty. I called my dealership and they told me even tint could void it. I don't get how so many people get new trucks and mod them like crazy if that's how warranties are all about.
I bought an all black 2021 trail boss. I want to add a sub and amp with the base system that's already in there and a few other things. I'll probably just wait till my warranty expires.
You’re good to do all of that believe it or not. Check out the Magnusson-Moss Warranty-Federal Trade Commission Improvements Act. I will attach the link at the end of this. But dealerships want to make as much money from their customers as possible. Convincing people that everything, especially something as silly as tint, voids a warranty, just makes them more money. Because once your vehicle is out of warranty, then you have to pay out of pocket, and not the manufacturer. Don’t trust every word that your dealer tells you, they a very slick with their ways. If the modification installed causes a defect, then and only then will your warranty be voided. For example, if you were to improperly install a Cold Air Intake, and not ensure that it was sealed properly or by breaking the mass airflow sensor, then you risk voiding your warranty. I hope this helps.
Check out the link below for more.
www.ftc.gov/enforcement/statutes/magnuson-moss-warranty-federal-trade-commission-improvements-act
Same, I want the pulsar, and the catch can but ha e been told the pulsar will void any warranty
So the muffler delete doesn’t void any warranties? I like what you’ve done. I think I’ll attempt to follow your lead. My 2021 lt 5.3 hasn’t been delivered yet. Probably in the next few weeks. I really want to make sure that none of these mods void the warrant. Even the Pulsar. I think I read it is supposed to come off before going in for service?? Nice vid though. Thanks!
You should be safe and covered under the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act. The act in short terms states that as long as a modification doesn’t directly result in a defect, then you are good to continue with the modification. But if the modification is installed wrong and causes a defect, then you will void yourself warranty. Also, the Pulsar does not modify the ECM, so you are good to leave it on. My Chevy dealership also confirmed that at my first service appointment. If/when you make that decision makes sure you save the extra cash with my links below! 👍🏻
@@TheBlueGarage Cool. Still moving forward but I did receive an email from Rangetech saying that the Pulsar LT should be removed before each service. Have you heard this? Wondering about a clean install that makes it easy to install and uninstall as needed.
@@jeremyimes6734 I have not heard this. The install itself is very clean and easy. If needed you could disconnect the Pulsar completely and put it back to stock within 2 min.
@@TheBlueGarage also, I am installing the Stillen ram air but I am a little concerned about water intake. I live in Oregon and it seems that if the front of the truck has a heavy water event that water could get blown up to the upper portion and into the filter box?? Hope not. Also, have you noticed any of the affects that Lonestar Hawaiian mentioned after the install regarding the flappers at the grill causing an issue? Thanks for the help!
@@jeremyimes6734 I also was concerned about the water, but so far I haven’t had any issues with it at all. I have driven through some intense storms too. I looked closely at my shutters and the are less than 1/8” away from the Stillen intake by the 2 center braces and about 1/8” of a gap on the sides. So fortunately, I haven’t had any clicking like he has.
There awesome trucks
Thank you!
Did you also look into the Undercover Ultra Flex before purchasing the BakFlip MX4? If so, what was/were the factors in choosing the MX4?
I did not, only because I needed something that could hold weight on top too. I’m not familiar with the Undercover Ultra Flex.
It’s nearly identical to BakFlip MX4. Only difference is warranty, 5yrs w/ Undercover. Undercover has a “carpeted” underside, side facing the bed. Price point are basically the same.
BakFlip keeping bed mostly dry during rain/storms/snow?
@@petegutana3241 no issue’s whatsoever. I don’t understand the point to the carpeted underside. Is there a benefit to that?
Just aesthetics I guess. Paying $1000, want it to have a little “luxury” feel to it.
@@petegutana3241 true but I feel that the carpet would get disgusting over time with all of the moisture.
Did you have vacuum leaking sound with the JLT oil separator ?? With the ram air did you have issues with the air damper louvers jamming with the new ram air up front ?
Thankd
I didn’t have any issues or hear anything strange with the oil separator, but I have heard others who heard the hissing sound. I did have the issue with the Stillen Ram Air Intake rubbing the shudders, I trimmed it back to prevent it from rubbing in the future.
What did you do for muffler delete?
I just took it into the local muffler shop and told them to cut the flapper valve and the muffler off, then added a straight pipe.
You got a clean truck
Thank you!
Ayyyy it’s my boy blue
You’re my boy blue!
What size tires are those
They are the stock Trail Boss 33”s
Which mods voided your warranty?
Honestly none, they will only void my warranty if they are installed improperly and are the direct cause of any issues that arise. We are protected by the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act to modify our vehicles.
Is that nation wide? Oh ya truck looks good btw…
@@jameslucas4181 yes, it is. It was passed by the Senate.
Any info as to why Cold Air Intakes such as K&N and COld Air inductions are not “legal” in California? I keep running into that issue when trying to purchase online.
Honestly, it’s the emissions laws out in California that are unlike anywhere else in the U.S. They restrict most modifications out there.
@@TheBlueGarage that’s a shame. I got a 21 Silverado 5.3 LT same Night Sky Blue as your TrailBoss and I’m trying to increase my fuel efficiency. You got a real beast there. Really enjoying the content keep up the good work🤝
@@alexpalacios4364 thanks man, there is plenty more to come too. Unfortunately there isn’t much you can do out in Cali. I’d have to look and see if a throttle body spacer would be legal or not. But I am even doubting that.

Thanks! That is the one mod that is hard to gauge. Tbh, I haven’t noticed much of a difference with it at all.
@@TheBlueGarage did you have to remove the door handles to put vinyl on the chrome lock button?
@@DetroitMikeVids I did, but it is super easy to do and can be done in about 15 min.
@@TheBlueGarage does the cap come off so you can get in the cracks around the button good? Is that why you removed it?
@@DetroitMikeVids no, the backplate separates from the cover and you can access the button freely by itself
Nice mods man!! I have a 21 Silverado RST only 2WD though but I’d love to know where you got the wireless charging center console and the muffler delete, I definitely need those on mine (as well as the cold air intake lol)

@@ARivas22 my Instagram is @Blue_Boss21 and I just took my truck to the local muffler shop and they cut it off for me. 20 min and around $90 later it was done. I kept my resonators though.
Any Lifter issues as of to date? So many horror videos out there of these new motors with less the 20K miles & having upper valve train issues.
Not a single one up to this point. Fingers are still crossed!
@@TheBlueGarage Great News!
@@kixforrest2358 I’m sitting just shy of 9k miles at the moment, and will make a video on that issue if I ever come across it. But so far we are good.
@@TheBlueGarage only reason I ask is because the wife just put in a order for a 2021 Z71 Tahoe - sadly I am a research freak so this is the first thing that popped up about these vehicles - is the lifter issue. Of course when you ask a dealership to be honest they know nothing about this issue when there’s 1 or 2 vehicles already in their maintenance shop being worked on due to it. Now I’m on the search trying to find a preventive maintenance routine to help eliminate it or at least keep it from happening for many miles down the road. So far I’ve come across I think it’s got to do with routine maintenance as well as your driving style and habits.
@@kixforrest2358 smart! Dealerships do act clueless about the issue with so many of their vehicles. I’ve even had them look up my vin and try to tell me it was not an issue with the Northsky Blue Trail Bosses… As if the color of a vehicle has anything to do with the engine. It was laughable. Regardless, I went with the Pulsar LT, that way I could shut off the DFM & AFM. In my opinion, out of all the mods that I have done up to this point the Pulsar is hands down my favorite.
Sick truck bro! I love my 2020 LT Trail Boss!
