In this video, I partner up with BuyP3 and go over why the Pulsar LT is a must when it comes to modifications to your 2019+ Chevrolet Silverado or GMC Sierra. ($40 off LINK BELOW)
🔗buyp3.com/disc...
I have been driving for just shy of 3 months now with the Pulsar installed (July 10th, 2021), and it has by far been my favorite mod so far. The best part is that it is plug and play and that it is all done without modifying your truck's ECU and any voiding warranties!!!
What the Pulsar allows you to do:
✴️Permanently shut off your Dynamic Fuel Management System
✴️Permanently shut off your Active Fuel Management System
✴️Increase or decrease (but why??) Throttle Responsiveness on the fly
✴️Adjust Tire Pressure Settings
✴️Adjust Tire Size Settings
✴️Adjust Axle Ratios
✴️Increase or change your speed limiter

My 2019
Sorry to hear that. It’s definitely worth it! I wish they made the Pulsar LT for my ZR2, hoping I don’t run into the same issue you had.
I have had my LT Pulsar on my 19 Trailboss for 10 months now and no issues. Love it and would highly recommend!
Glad to here it. It’s by far my favorite mod to date.
I installed the Pulsar LT onto my 2021 GMC Sierra AT4 (6.2L) last week. I had had it with Auto Start/Stop, AFM/DFM, throttle response, etc...all things that take away the fun and drivability of the truck. Now, the it feels like it should and is very quick. Pricey, but I recommend it.
I completely agree! All worth it. Make it feel and drive the way it should!
This is the best way to avoid lifter failure due to DFM. 2022 trailboss with failed lifters at 11,400 miles. Get this as soon as you can if you want your truck to perform like it should.
Damn, sorry to hear that! But I definitely agree! Knocking on wood also, just to be safe!
I have a 22 trailboss but it says it won't work for my vehicle.
@dcuo scissorkickz is your 22 a refreshed model ? I don't know if they make a Pulsar LT for the refreshed. If it's not then you should be able to find a Pulsar LT for your model
Love it so far no issues on my 2021 trailboss, The truck runs superb now.
Happy to hear it! I’m in the same boat, loving mine!
Yup level 3 is what i use too, and it appeara that my gas mileage has actually gone up too too early to tell only have it for about a week now. Ive cut out my muffler and flappers.
@@thorpower1015 that’s exactly what I did. I’ll throw on a new exhaust down the road.
Does it fit to 2024 5.3 silverado?
I wish! I have since upgraded to a 2023 ZR2, and they do not make it for 2023’s and newer. It was by far my favorite mod too.
I have a 22 trailboss and it says i will not work for my vehicle. Because i have a 5 on my vin.
Interesting, it should definitely work for your truck. I would contact Premium Performance Products and see what they say. I know a lot of guys with 22’s that have it.
Thanks for sharing!
Anytime 🤙🏻
I barely bought a 2020 Chevy and they told me that it doesn't pass inspection. That's why it has an adapted. I need to disconnect it so that it can pass inspection.
Interesting, at least you can plug it back in after passing.
Thanks for the vid man. My dad was in B-52s in vietnam so that topped it off.
That’s awesome, happy you enjoyed it!
Love the music! Nice video, great truck.
Thank you! I appreciate that!
Thanks for the tips and promo code. Just ordered a pulsar unit.
Hell ya, anytime. Enjoy it!
How much mpgs decrease you get out of the throttle response increasing ?
Honestly it just depends on how much you lay off the throttle. It didn’t make any change on its own.
I am more interested in disabling auto stop and dfm.
The Pulsar LT does that.
Wrong oil could be another culprit for the lifter failure. It's easier for these mechanics to grab the 5w-30 from the drum instead of walking over to the parts department to get the 0w-20 quarts that these trucks require.
Very true, another possibility
Most dealers run 0w20 now in pump or drum. Usually no bottles.
@@richardknauer82 cool, hopefully they get the memo at the autonation I purchased my truck from. My father in law works there so he himself had to go get the qts from parts and also realized it's 8.6 qts not 8. If not the mechanics would've put 5w30.
Great video, I pulling a trailer according to specifications of the pickup truck 🛻. I will connect the tow haul, I am not sure if the transmission will not charge gear with the tow haul connect. I will appreciate your advice. Thank you for your time ⏲️ nice video 📹 👍
Cylinder deactivation.
The truck will still shift through the gears. It will shift differently, when the tow haul mode is active, in order to protect the trucks transmission. Basically changing up the shift patterns. For example, when driving downhill, your truck will downshift sooner and protects your brakes.
@@TheBlueGarage Thank you for your excellent explanation.
@@franciscodomenech8084 you’re welcome, glad that I could help!
I like setting 4 on my trail boss
The more pull the better! Can’t argue that.
No oil catch can? That oil gets put back into the Throttlebody and kills the injectors overtime.
I have one installed from JLT.
What kind of moods have you done to help out with the fuel economy?
I need to make a video on this! My lift, and soon my bigger tires will cancel out all of my progress in fuel economy. I have installed a cold air intake from Cold Air Inductions, Throttle Body Spacer from Air Aid, Muffler & Flapper Delete, then finally I threw the Pulsar on throttle setting “30.”
@@TheBlueGarage what's your top mpg?
@@misaelacosta1116 I was able to get 25.6 MPG over 25 miles, 23.8 over 50 miles, and 22.7 over 400 miles. Not terrible for throwing cruise control on at 80 MPH on the Ohio Turnpike from Pittsburgh to Michigan.
@@TheBlueGarage nice numbers! Thanks for the info!!
@@misaelacosta1116 no problem
Will the pulsar work on a 2022
Yes it will.
Thinking of getting one for my 5.3😅
You won’t regret it!
I’ve been seeing a lot of check engine lights and different codes being thrown out once connected. Have you had any issues?
That’s not good. I haven’t had any issues on my end.
Will this work on my 2020 silverado custom? 5.3 liter engine. Non button start, key start
I’m almost positive that it will. But I am verifying now for you.
It will work on your 2020 Custom. 👍🏻
@@TheBlueGarage thank you, I'm buying it primarily for the speed limiter
@@omarrodriguez7157 you’re welcome, you will love the increased throttle response too.
Did u update urs before installing?
Unless there is a newer update, than when I installed it, sometime in July of 2021, then no. I’ve messed with the settings a few times since installing though.
Im going to get the ovd cable just to make sure but Im so ready to install mine 😅
thanks
Never a bad idea. Anytime!
Is your pickup a 2021?? Will this work on my 2022 with DFM??
Mine is a 2021 with DFM, and yes, it will work on your 2022 as well.
does this void warranty??
It does not, because it does not alter the ECU and can easily be returned to factory settings by unplugging it.
Is there a legit reason or is it worth it to get if my truck don't have cylinder deactivation and don't have auto start and my truck is not speed governed
If you plan on throwing on a different size tire, would like to change axle ratios, and also increase/change your throttle sensitivity, then yes. If not, then I guess not.
How does a program change your gear ratio? Maybe shift points in the transmission but not gears?⚙️
This is everything that you can do through the Pulsar LT.
- Toggle Auto Start/Stop
- Disable Dynamic Fuel Management
- Calibrate Tire Size (29" - 50.9")
- Adjust Throttle Response
- Modify Gear Ratio (2.00 - 6.99)
- Change Top Speed Limiter (82 - 140 MPH)
- Clear Diagnostic Trouble Codes
- Reprogram TPMS Threshold (1 - 99 PSI)
i put axel ratio at lvl 2 on my 5.3 v8 6 speeds, more than that is too much
Still better than the stock setting. That was my biggest complaint off of the lot. Easy fix!
5.3 with 8 speed or 10 sep ?
10 speed
Does the cruise control still works with the pulsar Lt ?
It does, you cannot adjust the Pulsar throttle settings when the cruise control is on, only when cruise is off. So you are able to set and adjust your cruise control when it’s on without altering your throttle sensitivity settings.
@@TheBlueGarage thanks for the info…
I just ordered ir for my 2022 slt 6.2
@@Fifaclips916 anytime! Enjoy!
Great content. Greeting from 720th STG. Stay safe.
Thank you! I’m looking forward to posting more like this in the future.
Only thing you lose is the cruise control feature 🤦🏾♂️
You can still use the cruise control, that doesn’t change. You set the throttle sensitivity with the cruise control off, but once it is on you can set it and use it like normal.
@@TheBlueGarage i haven't figured that out yet,
@@TheBlueGarage bout to try that out now
Ha it works , thanks 1 more question i set the limiter to 120 its still stop at 112 🤷🏾♂️
Make sure after you set it, with the vehicle off and in run mode, that the speedometer sweeps from 0-140 and back.
Does it void the factory warranty?
It does not. It is a plug and play device, and does not alter the ECM.
I heard stories where people failed state inspection because of this device ?
Potentially, but it is an easy plug and play. You can unplug it and go back to factory settings in less than 1 min. Then after inspection you can pop it back on. I guess it depends on the shop you take it to, because it does not alter the ECU at all, or leave a footprint.
Just watched a paid advertisement of this video. Are you trying to make this channel into a business? Seems more like a passion project. 🤷🏼♂️
I am just having fun with it and seeing where things go.
At 14 min did you just activate the dfm when it went down to 0 ?
No, when I hit the cancel cruise button, I was in 10MPH which is the setting to shut it off. After pressing cancel cruise, the speedometer meter automatically drops to 10MPH before sweeping up to 140 and back to 0.
Will this work on the 2019 silverado 5.3 8 speed transmission
Yes, it does.
