So peaceful with the birds singing...the grounds are so cared for. Thanx GV...you and Sue always read every stone you can see. A favorite part of mine and what makes you guys the very best.❤😊
Great tour Grave. Lovely graveyard and so glad that they are trying to repair parts of it! Some lovely inscriptions. Can you imagine drugs in a cemetery, crazy! Thanks GV! Sorry I missed the premiere, had company
Yes i always sign the like button and enjoy his and Sues channel too. This video is amazing too ao thanks GV. Did he know Morty is in America on a motorcycle?
Lots of interesting history in this beautiful cemetery..as soon as you read the name Middleton on that one grave I thought I wonder if its any relative to our Princess of Wales 🤔 thanks GV really enjoyed😘
I thought I saw a fairy ring! ( mushrooms ) and also I got a kick when in another video you commented, "The Hound of the Baskervilles!". It cracked me up with laughter.
Very peaceful and lovely cemetery in wonderful condition except for a few plots that are under reconstruction. What an interesting place to hide drugs. I hope it doesn't give anyone ideas! What a hoot Cathal! 😳🙄😳
beautiful well kept cemetery GV , i wonder if they ever solved the mystery of the drugs found there , i feel there must be alot of unmarked graves there as there looks to be only a few headstones
MDCCCXXV = 1825. Another great video GV so sad the people used this graveyard to hide their drugs. Is nothing sacred nowadays??? Shame on them, and may the good Lord save their souls.
When Ireland achieved independence, many British overlords, and their families, returned to the UK. Next-of-kin are responsible for grave upkeep, paying annual fees to the graveyard's management. In time, this was forgotten. It left far too many "abandoned" graves. The Church of Ireland, established by The Protestant Church of England, saw a great decrease in numbers. I think they should attempt to find the descendants of the interred to ask if they could contribute to grave restoration programmes. Otherwise, it is left to Irish tax payers to pick up that enormous bill.
Sad that the table top tombs get damaged because someone thinks there is a body in it, when the body was buried under it. We have something similar where the grave has a wood structure like a house built over it. and again, the body is buried under it, and the structure is empty. Because it is wood, it is easily damaged by storms and animals.
What I noticed in your travels, is not too many ppl reaching or going beyond 100 years old if any back in the day. Also, I noticed many ppl listed on a stone. How they get to bury some many in a single spot.
The roman numerals are 1725! just amazing the shape that is in for the age! My little part of the world has nothing that lasts that long! And our main cemetery has only 1 family mausoleum
It's such a shame that the state of those crypts/tombs spoils what is otherwise a very pretty cemetery. I'm sure if they tried to raise a subscription to "tidy them up" if not restore them, it wouldn't take much money and labour offered free, to recover them to some state of glory.
Repairing graves that are 100 or more years old will eventually result in their falling into disrepair in another 100 years. How many graves from 1000 or more years ago are no longer even visible? Unfortunately, no graves last forever, do they?
These people died so many years ago. I wonder what their life was like when they were alive. I hope they are all resting in peace.🙏
The wonderful maintenance of this cemetery just sets off the beauty of these old burials
A simple but beautiful cemetery.💗
We love your cemetery explorations and how much detail you put into every aspect of each grave visit.
Thanks Eddie
That cemetery I agreed really kept up nice and clean Cathal you Sue have the best channel ❤
Nice that they’re keeping up the lovely cemetery.
Hi GV. The date in roman numerals on the headstone is 1825. This graveyard looks a lot better tended than some that we've seen.
Hi Joan thank you. A few people have said 1825

It was really lovely hearing this story
Great video is always and thank you so much for sharing.
It's so bad that they found drugs in a graveyard where people rest in peace😢😢😢😢
Nothing is sacred anymore , nicely kept x

Nicely written interment marker for the crew of the schooner Elizabeth. Sunk, October 28th, sounded like quite an ill-omened voyage.
Very peaceful and lovely cemetery in wonderful condition except for a few plots that are under reconstruction. What an interesting place to hide drugs. I hope it doesn't give anyone ideas! What a hoot Cathal! 😳🙄😳
Hi Janet it's unbelievable what people do in cemeteries isn't it. It is a beautiful cemetery I hope they finish the project
HI THERE GV just after jumping on your love it
Hi John thank you glad you liked it
Great video ❤
Well cared for cemetery.
I love the walk.
I expect a lot of umarked graves there and I see a lot of burial mounds, interested if there is a burial register for this cemetery 🐨🥰
I missed your live but what I don’t understand is on was on utube when your live started and I didn’t get a notification till it was over. 😢
Nothing lasts forever, including cemetaries.

Fun walk. Well, recently the police in Brussels and Antwerp discovered of their own officers trafficing drugs, that's Belgium for you...
Corruption at its best

must be a high water table there
I have a Middleton in my ancestry. Very interesting!
Have you ever been to the graves of The Clancy Brothers? If so, did you do a program?
Haven't been yet
Nice cemetery. Sad that dealers using it . Disrespect to the dead.
Benjamin Godkin had a nice stone that though "new" had the look of an older stone to match with the older stones.
1825...Roman numerals...
The Roman numerals you mentioned, MDCCXXV represent 1725.
Sad that the table top tombs get damaged because someone thinks there is a body in it, when the body was buried under it.

Those Roman numerals on the grave of Margaret Selby should add up to 1825.
MDCCCXXV=1825
Cheers Ronald

@@GraveVisitations That's excellent news. It will pay off in tourism in the end 😉

That Roman numerals in tombstone was year 1825
Sorry missed a 'c' so is actually 1825
Repairing graves that are 100 or more years old will eventually result in their falling into disrepair in another 100 years. How many graves from 1000 or more years ago are no longer even visible? Unfortunately, no graves last forever, do they?
The roman numerals on the tomb was year 1325.
1825 so people say
According to Google, the date is 1815 for MDCCCXV
I think that Roman date is 1821ce.
Done
memento mori
Did they figure out who did it?
Didn't hear anything about it only what I read
@@GraveVisitations oh OK I hope they did catch those disrespectful jerks
if my memory is still working I Believe MDCCCXXV is 1825 I may be wrong
Are the "tabletop tombs" not actually "false crypts" with the remains buried underground beneath the "false crypts?"
They are buried underground not in the stone part
The Roman numbers are as follows
M = 1000 D = 500 C = 100 X = 10 V = 5 I = 1
1825
1725
According to Alexa the Roman Numerals MDDXXXV stands for 1825
Good old alexa
1855
Numerals = 1825 😊
MDCCCXXV equals 1825
