Punctuation is everything! The lack of it makes the stone confusing but it’s for the 7 week old son of those individuals. 😊 The drs headstone was absolutely beautiful.
It is sad to see what work went into to make beautiful these works for their resting place, bit nature does not stop. But what an honor and what you guys go through to find the graves and read and remember and you do it with such respect and love. Thanx i so enjoy traveling with each video .❤😊❤😊
Another beautiful video. Thank you so much for trudging through the greenery and sharing this experience with us. 3:18 I’m fascinated by the bent iron, I thought perhaps tree limbs but none seem to be close.
This is what I love about your youtube channel and Sue's as well both of you have Great Finds in history and I see that the kids haven't spray painted graffiti on the walls of the old church and such history in the stone tells the story of the people of that town thanks for making this video
We as humans erect these monuments and sadly the cemeteries are overgrown and the people lay in the ground in a rotten wooden coffin there bones disseminated and forgotten to time.🤨🙄😒😏😮
I see now why there is a warning about danger from buildings in that graveyard given the state of the roof in the old church. The railings in the cemetery have been damaged by unwanted visitors from a big town over the years not all that far away. Thanks for the tour and again a lovely old graveyard.I live in Newbridge but it is in the Edinburgh area. The Curragh Racecourse cannot be all that far away from the Cemetery.A lovely place to live in away from the graveyard.
Thanks for sharing this with us. 👍👍 And is it ever overgrown, wow! Good place to tread carefully. As for that bent iron in a couple of places... that's kind of odd. 🤔 Maybe from fallen trees from years gone by? Pete 🇨🇦
It makes me so sad when cemeteries and graveyards are basically forgotten. The one headstone where it said his wife 7 weeks make me wonder if it had been an arranged marriage for when she was older and so she was thought of as his wife. Great job on this video and the beautiful headstones. ❤❤❤
great old place - the reading on the stone you didn't understand was this Sacred to the memory of Arbuthnot Ronald McTaggart, second son of W.B. McTaggart [ LUIT 14th Hussars and Amy his wife. [full stop] died 28th Aug 1872 aged 7 weeks
The infant Ronald Arbuthnot died of diarreha 28th of August 1872. I think the inscription means that he is the son of W.B and Amy. The way the inscription is makes it confusing. Great find . Sad to see a graveyard forgotten about.
@@GraveVisitations An Irish website that records births marriages and deaths. have shared website several times but for some reason it seems to disappear every time. Why would that happen. Not very tech savvy. But dont understand?
Magical looking place, but sad that it’s been mostly forgotten. It’s be nice if someone or several someones could go in with string trimmers and mow the weeds & grass & shrubs down
Yes same in Australia we've got some very deadly snakes here and I need to remind myself when I see these that they don't have snakes. I believe it's the same in New Zealand
This is so sad that no one takes care of this place😞 A lot of military guys there. Maybe she died after 7 weeks of being married? Y'all are lucky you have no snakes. Had to kill a rattle snake on the front porch this afternoon. Hey from Texas❤️
beautiful but very overgrown glad you didn't fall somewhere in those weeds , the doctors tombstone was beautiful , strange that man erected his own tombstone ? I suppose he he pre bought his plot ? loved tge iron work of those fences . what a shame they left this place to rot
Fascinating graveyard, unfortunate that it is so neglected and overgrown. Perhaps one day, someone will clean it up, but I am afraid, that it will take a great deal of work, time, and money 💰 🤑 💸 I do not know what to make of that 7 week inscription on that headstone, if you ever figure it out, or obtain any new information, please let us know. Also, I would really like to know, what bent those iron rods on those fences? Thank you very much GV and Sue, for another great video. Have a great day. 😊

There was a Scottish doctor, born April 29, 1667 and died February 27, 1735. John Arbuthnot , son of Rev. Alexander Arbuthnot and Margaret. That was the only family members I found.
OK That solved the problem I had. I thought you said ducklings and I was wondering what the hell would ducklings be doing in a graveyard. Duckweed, now I get.
@@GraveVisitations cold be the tree has been gone a long time as the damage is not that new looking, only other thing I can think of are vandals with a big hammer.
This graveyard is probably owned by the Church or England or Ireland. It doesn't belong to a city council. Because of the danger caused by the crumbling ruins, groundkeepers can't carry out any work there. It will be difficult to get permission to knock down the ruins. Some complain about overgrowth, but there are always good reasons why.
Maybe Amy Mc Taggar Died 7 Weeks after she was married, that would make better since. I couldn't Imagine pushing marriage's that early on in life! 🤣😂 But if they are what other unethical crazy behavior are they doing in that Country? I'd be blaming it all on England. 🤣😂 Cheers! G.V.
What an enchanted looking place. It's so sad that no one takes care of it. Thank you GV and Sue for fighting the overgrowth for us. 💚
The stone was for the son, child of the father and his wife, who died age 7weeks. No use of punctuation in those days
That what I was going to say
Another beautiful old graveyard it would look lovely all cleaned up great video ❤
The old cemeteries are the best with all there history..shame its so overgrown..thanks GV this was great ❤
What a fascinating cemetery. Although it was overgrown, I think all the greenery is very pretty. The church ruin was also beautiful in it's own way.

Thank you GV that was very interesting I bet it's been a good while since anyone visited the graves of these poor souls. 👏👏
I know it's a cliche but wow Ireland is lush and green.
Another amazing video
Thanks marge
Wow, so over grown...very interesting place...thanks for taking us here...
Very sad that this grave yard isn't taken care of. Thank you for that difficult walk you took to remember those buried there.
It was right out of a faerytale, when you first showed the entry into the church ruins. Gorgeous.
Thanks to you both!! ❤❤
Glad you enjoyed this one Brenda hope you are well

Never seen so many old abandoned vhurches
It is a shame it is so wild that a lot of the stones are coverd
I like the way they did the lettering in the headstones

Thank you ❤️
Shame that no one kept the cemetery up,as for the seven weeks,I have no idea, thanks for going through thee jungle to bring us this. GV and Sue

Thanks for the information. I've been to the military cemetery in the Curragh to video it. Vandalism is pure stupidity in cemeteries
Easier to put up a sign rather than clean it up, I guess.
Love these older cemeteries printing well keep on the stones. She was only his wife for seven weeks before she died.
Nothing like a mystery.

The bent iron fence was probably from a fallen tree years ago. I can't think of anything else that could have done it otherwise.
Or a spirit broke out 👻
Magical looking place, but sad that it’s been mostly forgotten. It’s be nice if someone or several someones could go in with string trimmers and mow the weeds & grass & shrubs down
It seems endless, so many cemeteries, all atmospheric.
Sad to see the forgotten. Kind of makes p ne think of a typographical error in stone.
We don’t walk in greenery overgrowth like that in Oklahoma. Too risky to encounter snakes 🐍. Eeek.
Yes same in Australia we've got some very deadly snakes here and I need to remind myself when I see these that they don't have snakes. I believe it's the same in New Zealand
The 2nd son died at 7 weeks.
It says his wife amy died aged 7 WEEKS
It was Arbuthnot who died at 7 weeks the son of W.B and Amy Mctaggart.
how sad the shape of this cemetery is horrible ,people should be ashamed
@Caroline Normon Did you not see the warning sign on the gate? It clearly says "no entry due to crumbling building".
Yet at the same time, it’s so beautiful with all the greenery
Great video guys! This place was amazing. We'd better call you Indianna Jones (and the Temple of Doom) 😅
Take care, God bless.
Cheers or bear Grylls 😁
Perhaps Sue could be our Lara Croft?
That mystery headstone was written with a run on sentence and was speaking of the 7 week old baby
Whoever put inscription on it made a mistake I'd say
What a beautiful place, but sad its so neglected x
Ironwork fence might have gotten bent by a tree falling on it.

Hi Brenda you are brave to kill the snake 🐍
That McTaggart marker is an odd one! The overgrowth needs to be cut back in there. Such a shame. Good one GV!👍
So sad😢

Going to these overgrown cemeteries, be careful of snakes and other creatures. Maybe you need to wear long boots.
No snakes in Ireland
So sad all those overgrown graves. I think the wife and it said 7 weeks may mean they were married 7 weeks and she died.
I think inscription said died aged 7 WEEKS
It probably means his wife and a child only 7weeks old
Perhaps it was the child who died 7 week n names listed where the parents n it was their second son.
The odd gravestone may have been a stonemason mistake but why not re do it ..very odd indeed
It's very strange isn't it
The baby was 7weeks when he died that what the age 7 weeks means

Oh maybe they were married 7 weeks some sort of typo...its very weird,,,
Well they did marry younger back then 😂..
