Hope y'all get that rain! Moisture looked good in the furrows though. We're done with everything here in Alabama now. Cotton was last, and we finished it last week. Brian was solid GOLD today! I'm paraphrasing: "is that on? Here I am eating like a werewolf" and "I look like a 6 year old trying to look like a 15 yr old". I kinda figured those were Cole's hand me down shades! Best of luck the rest of the way! Oh yeah, glad the wire winder lives on! Nice repair job Cole!
Cole, You show the makings of a good husband. Brushing back your wife's windblown hair out of her face n eyes.. She was surprised but liked it. Big smile at her honey. Keep doing those acts of kindness n love, she will return it 10 times over She comes before your soon to be kids, your parents, the farm, even yourself Good salt of the earth farming video. Never ending weather worries, work in bad weather, breakdowns But, Life goes on. Cut back some on the videos some with the already increased tilling planting hours. Spend the time with your good woman. Lots of good times to enjoy together that only come once, parties, wedding ceremony, honeymoon. Your wife will cherish and remember the time spent together forever. You can make it special for her
Wow what a WONDERFUL VIDEO you cole and BRIAN are a WONDERFUL dad and son I REALLY appreciate your WONDERFUL VIDEOS I don't miss any of them cole you and your girlfriend look so beautiful COUPLE stay BLESS
Praise God for the rain and allowing yall to get some seed in the ground. Cole, you and Tiffany sure seem to be a true match made in Heaven. She is stunningly gorgeous and glows with her beautiful smile.
So happy for all of you! May you continue to be blessed 🙌 and give God the glory! Cole get your Dad the right glasses and lose those ones from the old gf
Great video Brian and Cole. Great to see you putting seeds in the ground. Cole the wire winder looked great again and glad to see you had supervision in the tractor. God bless you all at Sonne farms. Thank you for all you do.
T-I-F-F-A-N-Y!! So nice to see you. Corn in the ground, in moisture! 240 acres in how many more and what else are you planting? Brian you look like you could use a nap.
You know Brian, that was about the best description of how a planter puts seed in the ground I've seen. You gave enough detail so anyone can understand easily. Well done. Glad to see the needed rain reached you. James 5: 7.
Fun watching the planting & so Happy to hear you are expecting more rain 🌧 ... We sure need rain in California, Arizona & Nevada... GBY BOTH & Your Beautiful Families 🙏❤️💙💙🤗✝️
I agree so grateful and much respect to Brian's family for all the work. $300 for a bag of seed!!!and all that machinery with all involved. Glad Brian tells us about he cost because people dont realise. Thank you from UK.
Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable. Brian thanks for the song of the day. You picked a good one. Nice music to that one. Liked Bowe. So glad you were able to start planting for 2022. Always nice to get a start on planting. Always busy from then on it seems. Brian, thanks for the run down on the planter operation and your in tractor monitor. Great what they have now days to do adjustments from the cab on the go. Back in our day of course no cab and had to get off tractor to make adjustments. What a change-wow. Better advancement for the farmer. Just great. You covered a fair amount of ground. Seven miles per hour planting is not too bad. Glad you got more rain with crops in the ground. It all helps. Cole, glad you got the wire winder going again. Looks like it is working great. About it for now. Glad you did not get much damage in the storm. Zach Johnson and Larson Farms got a lot of damage to equipment and buildings. Looking forward to the next video. Thanks for everything Cole. Good to see your future wife in the video. Take care. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
LOVE this 🎵 song of the day... Under Pressure sung by Brian Sonne 👍😁😅🤣 🎶 BEAUTIFUL Fiancé Cole... When are we going to get a Proper introduction??? 😉🤗✝️

Hey Cole your about to be a member of the marrying up club. I’ve been a member for 10 years now. All jokes aside congratulations I am happy for you two.
Thoughts and Prayers for a successful planting season 🙏 It was a nice moment to see the former intern/ future Sonne Farms Employee. I am very happy for you two, God bless your next 60 years together ❤️ 🙏
Hello Cole how is you your dad and your family doing I hope they're doing good just to mention your black truck when you step on the brakes the reverse lights come on so it might something you might know or you don't know but it looks like it's a wiring issue it's a farm truck what do you expect you guys have a blessed day and congrats for you and your fiance you guys make a great couple
Always nice to watch what you & dad got going on Tks. Hey Cole when you and the lady getting married?? It’s great when she can join you in the farming.
It sure beats doing that by horse and plow. Can you imagine what that would take in time, let alone hoofing it across the field. I am tired just thinking about that. Thanks for sharing.
@@hminchella7423 The reason that an acre is a measure of area is that was the maximum that that a skilled person with a horse & a single plough could plough in a day.
thank you guys, great video. Brian, thanks for the planter info, obviously I enjoy watching you guys, I just don't know too much about the equipment you use. after thus video I know a bit more. thanks again. take care guys, stay safe. praying for that rain for you all.
farming sure has changed from when I was a kid (graduated in 89) I remember when grandpa sold Dekalb. I appreciate your videos seeing how far farming has come. sure do miss those days and showing cattle
Also need prayers for west central Minnesota farms they were hit hard by straight line winds or a tornado look up millennial farmer too see the damage.
The intern popped in and I thought it was someone from an 80's band that dropped in. Great to see her back. Been real busy and haven't got to watch for awhile. God bless
Those machines are amazing. They have so much high-tech stuff on there! I rejoiced with you that you got to start planting! Hurray! We are trying to keep our hopes up that things change for us weather wise and soon! We are still getting hammered with snow, super cold wind and weather that just isn't bringing on any pasture. Nobody we know has hay left so we are all a bit edgy to say the least. Hoping for some warm days to bring on grass and YOUR CORN! yippeee!
@@hminchella7423 80000 seeds per bag and planted at the rate he was planting with an average yield of 225 bushels per acre will produce just shy of 3 acres of corn. At current price of roughly 8 bucks a bushel that is $5k worth of corn. Not bad for 300 bucks. Of course one has to deduct other farm expenses. Just praying corn prices stay up. Note that 1 bag of seed corn is over 3000 bucks presently. One bag of seed corn will produce enough seed to plant over 2000 acres if planted at a 30k per acre population. Corn is magic.
Great explanation of now a planter works. It is way different today than in the 60s, times change. Enjoys each days blog. Stay safe during this season.
Cole I was waiting for you to exclaim over the wire winder "It lives!". LOL! 😆 Glad you were able to fix it without too much trouble. And that rain must be a beautiful sight & sound. Love David Bowie so a great song of the day Mr Brian. 😁🙏💙🦘
Good show ! Thanks for taking us along for the first day of planting. Nice to see the moisture is working out so far. I hope those big winds we saw on the Weather Channel didn't bother you too much.
A most interesting educational video by Professor Brian. Great men + years of experience + great machines + God's help and blessing = productive farming. Nice to have a personal appearance of that pretty young lady. Hope to see more of her.
I had to put on my welding helmet when I saw Tiffany's "Rock of Gibraltar" diamond engagement ring!! Shite, you can cook a Sonne Farms Black Angus Steak with the reflection from her ring!
Yay!!! When I see you seeding than I know that summer is here!!! HUGS!!!! Love how you explain what your doing and how everything works. Reminds me of my Dad & Uncles telling me.
Yeah, I have 4 of those "barb ware" gates. They are wider than most metal gates will allow. That way I can get the grain drill in each field. I put a short nylon winch strap on each one with a staple near the ratchet to hold it in place. I can wrench that gate as tight as any barbwire fence even past the gate & easily release to open. Bett you never thought rolling wire was going to turn in such an easy job one guy could pick away at it when hes got half an hour to spare and get a half mile rolled up in just a few minutes that roller is a pretty handy attachment for the skidder.
That air filter had me rolling! 😂🤣 It was a little past time to clean that thing out. It’s cool to see how that farm equipment works. That planter is amazing. Do each one of those rollers (for lack of the correct term) work independently of the others, to allow for dips in the terrain?

The simple answer is yes within the range of overall limits imposed by the machines main frame and wheel location/setting.
