It is so refreshing to watch you and your dad work together and get along so well. A lot of shows on TV the people are swearing at each other or trying to screw the other one over.
Brian - as you were planting a section of the farm that borders the cemetery your comments about your parents is something we in our 60's can relate to as alot of our parents have relocated to heaven. Lost my Mother to Alzheimer's as well and it tugs at your heart as you witness the mental death and ultimately the physical death of a loved one. We enjoy watching the videos and thank you for taking the time to film and post them. May God Bless you and your family and God Bless the American Farmer!
You reminded me of one of my mom's little sayings when I was a kid with your cow in a storm story - "Birdie shoo-shoo in my eye, me just glad that cows can't fly." 😉🐦🐄 Always stay safe out there...
That’s enough excitement for me in one day, I expected to see cows flying by, or the little turdnugget. It was so peaceful a few hours earlier, song of the day, slurping the last drinkie from “we got the meats”, chatting about Storlaaa station and new seed merchy stuff, and moist spritzers. I don’t know how you played musical tractors so quickly, but you did it! Thank goodness you are all safe another day!
Brian I really miss the "Did I ever tell you of the time..." followed by "...That's all I got to say about that." It has such a Prairie Home Companion feel to it.
Brian .. did you hear about the farmer here in Ireland...when asked what would he do if he Won the national lottery?? 💰 💰 💰 He taught a second and said.. Keep farming until its all gone
We’re not in Kansas anymore Dorothy ! Click them ruby Slippers together ! Grab TOTO the scarecrow, tin man , and the Lion 🦁 and get to cover! Be safe y’all !!
You guys and your channel is awesome. I find it very enjoyable seeing all of the advancements that have been made in farming. Being disabled and retired your channel allows me to see what I would be able to in person. It's also a pleasure watching such a holsom family as they interact together. Take care and may God Bless you and yours.
Ellie knows n if you know, you know! 😆 Cole everytime you give Ellie a mouthful of cheek in my head she answers you in the cutest quick-witted manner - maybe a voice over for her? 😅🦁 Hope all n everyone came through ok n no major damage. Is this the storm cell that created a tornado for Millennial Farmer? Take care! 😁🙏💙🐨 (Mr Brian I saw that splodge on the window behind you n thought it was very alienesque, then you start talking about them....👽👽)
film as much of the Prove N40 process as you can including shots in comparison as it is growing through out the season - you can then put it into a Prove N40 vlog at the end - good for promoting the product for Storla Station and the company you are getting it from
One of the best farming channels on u-tube ,Brian ,Jeff and Cole stay safe please I love your content.Let's hope the weather gets going in the right direction for a good crop!
I loved when you honked the horn at the cow enjoying grass and she looked up and went back in. On my Dad's dairy farm, we had a couple of young heifers who were quite agile at getting through the barbed wire 3 strand, would cross the busy road to dine on the neighbors lawn. We discovered all we had to do was keep a metal pail at the house, go out and bang it and they would come running back.
I know that look after ‘don’t get stuck’. Beautiful black baby beevos! Yo, Isaac! You can rock me just about anywhere. It’s alright, cause you’re all I’ve got tonight…..the cars 🚘 Nothing is what it used to be on any of us.. And then Cole, you’ve got red shoes 👠 on… Oh mylanta what a storm! That’s Oklahoma kind! That’s when we all go out to watch. Looks like the topsoil from the next county over is being redistributed. The windbreak still didn’t fly apart! Woooohoooo! Storla Station
Brian you are quite the Rock-N- Rollers I like that Rock-N-Roll Farmer Iike ya'lls videos you share. I will be 73 this year and still Love Rock-N- Roll.Maybe you can explain the old Rock songs to Cole Lol. from Chuck
It’s actually nice to see that somebody else gets as crazy weather as we do. It goes from 90 to 30 in an hour with a 70 mile an hour wind and maybe tornadoes. Glad to see you can cope
Glad you went back to the cave before you blew away. We had a big wind a few days ago that took down trees and poles. [south central ontario] and some people still don't have hydro. I hope the cows and claves are ok after that. Now lets get back to that annoying buzzing you mentioned. Good video. Pax.
I remember this storm! Walked out of my classroom at school to go watch the little kids sing and it was perfectly fine out. Walked about 100 feet and turned around and I see a black wall coming towards me. It hit eastern Nebraska at about 2:30.
Hard to believe that the paddock could look like that afta what it looked like couple months ago ,, your lucky at lest ya get green if I want ta look at green gotta drive couple hours down hyway Good on ya ,, CHEERS ROCK ON
Prayers that y’all are ok. I was yelling run Ellie run!!!!! Glad to see Tami made it home safely! I’m glad y’all are at least getting some rain at least…some is better than none.
OK Mr Brian. Finally i had to go and google your song of the day. Knew all the rest, but this one had me. Greetings from an ex game farmer in South Africa. Like you’r music taste
Keep chugging along you guys!! I hope everyone is safe after the storm that cam through!! Hopefully the rain is becoming your friend again. Its been about 70s in iowa so far but it shall warm back up this weekend. Enjoy the week💪💪
What is on your back windshield Brain sir ? Love the EAGLES. Hefty seed corn 🌽 that a local company noisy I am so sorry? I think Miss Elli knows there’s a storm coming! That is a mean looking storm I guess because you can see for miles. Hope that was the only damage!! Thanks for leaving us hanging 👍.
Scary storm. I hope the nitrogen experiment works well on your corn. Poor Ellie, I can relate to being afraid of storms.... because well, Kansas. Thanks for another great video.
Hope everything came out ok and you didn't have much damage. Love watching all you guys going through your daily lives, that you allow us to see. Keep it up!
Oh My Gosh you guys!! You could just feel that storm hit thru the screen!!! It sure seemed like it was a tornado! We had one that came thru a town here in Michigan last week..the town of Gaylord. 2 people were killed and 40 injured. Hope you all are safe!!
Awesome video minus the wind looks like lake sonne is back in the Hereford pen ..I like how Eli camped out behind the one John deer tire and stays out the way when you we're driving the other feed tractor..that was a good shot you cought..
Thanks for another great video Cole. Most interesting and enjoyable. Wow. That storm came quick. Bad storm there. Looked like very high winds. Ellie was not happy with that. Good dog. Cole showed a building tipped over and busted up. Hopefully that was all you had for damage. Better than the what the Johnson and Larson Farms got. Glad you all are ok. Stay safe. Will be interesting to see how your planting test does with or without the liquid fertilizer. Should be interesting. Never heard of that brand before. Cole, you at least got a start with the field disk. More tomorrow-ya!!!!! Have at it another day. I have to tease you a bit. You talked about ten hours of being in the field like , oh my me. Now remember our equipment back in the day was much smaller and less hp. So a ten hour day in the field at planting time was not unusual. Spent many a ten or twelve hour day with no cab and modern day equipment, just the way it was. Wow. Memories there. You and dad are doing great getting the corn in the ground. Hopefully you are getting caught up even with a late start on field work and planting. Great teamwork. Good song of the day Brian. Very popular group back in the day. Nice beat to that song. You and dad kept a good eye on the weather. Important to do that with bad stuff rolling in. Good show. You got all the equipment put away in rapid fashion. Good to get it under cover when storming. Enough for now. You all take care and be safe. Looking forward to the next video. Thanks for everything. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Ya our AG teacher, was in a Tornado in Illinois, as school was letting out. Half the busses could see the Tornado come, blocked by the school. It was very bad.
That’s a nasty storm. Hope all is well. If dad likes that N40 product and with his hobby of buying and selling equipment maybe you’ll have that 100 foot of John Deere Green next year!!
Based on my experience as a farmer and 10 years in construction, I think it best to close all shed doors to keep wind outside. If wind blows in the door and can't escape, there goes the roof and then the walls. Seen it happen here and believe that'll could be what happened with Zack Johnson's shed. Just my thoughts.
Millenial Farmer just went through a storm where he moved all the equipment into a shed only to leave the main door open and the shed collapsed on all his stuff. $2M worth of equipment and barn damaged.
Not an engineer, but trusses are rated for snow load and wind load. When the wind gets under the roof, this puts stress on the truss in ways they weren't designed to take. Even steel buildings will not guarantee survival in the worst storm.
Yep. Buildings blow up like balloons and that's from personal experience. If you're in one having air pressure problems your ears will pop just like flying in a plane. A remedy that works is to leave something like a door or windows open on the lee or downwind side of the building to relieve that pressure. Not sure how that helps in a tornado with the possibility of wind coming from any direction.
Hi Guys !! And my fav collie Ellie ! Cole , when cows aren't supposed to be in the rough wooded area they will want in there. It's called Murphy's law , everything ain't what it should be ! Haha! Your comment about The Wizard of Oz was timed with my passing through Sedan Kansas. Their claim to fame is having the longest yellow brick road!

Looked like a giant bird poopy splatter! I think after the planting and such, Cole will probably do some washing with his magic water wand doohickey.
Scary storm. I hope the nitrogen experiment works well on your corn. Poor Ellie, I can relate to being afraid of storms.... because well, Kansas.

Ya our AG teacher, was in a Tornado in Illinois, as school was letting out. Half the busses could see the Tornado come, blocked by the school. It was very bad.
We had at least 1 tornado touch down SW of our farm earlier tonight and a lot of rain and hail here in west Texas.
Looks like a gulley washer! Hope the front just dropped some rain w/out any damage!
it was all wind and no rain!
That’s a nasty storm. Hope all is well. If dad likes that N40 product and with his hobby of buying and selling equipment maybe you’ll have that 100 foot of John Deere Green next year!!

Looked like everybody was trading fields in that windstorm!
Hope everything made it through storm safe.
