This is very good I have been paralyzed from the neck down due to a horrible car crash 5 years ago. You have allowed me to speak to my family more who live in Iowa. 🙏 THANK you.
Thank you for using arrows to show where your mouse is on your screen captures. So many of tutorials do not use a circle or any indicator, and they move so fast that the information is useless. Bravo to you.
Hi, as a host using laptop, I have the function to stop the participants shared screen so that it will stop and allow another participant to share. I am unable to find this same option on iPad. Can only ask the participant to stop share or another participant to share and force stop for the previous. Do you know if this function exist on iPad too? Thank you
Interesting question! Not well documented in Zoom support, so I tested for you. You are correct, the option to stop a Participant share is not available in the iOS app. The only workaround I can suggest is to temporarily turn off, and then turn on again, the Share Screen option in Security. This will force out the current screen share and then allow the next person to share. I would bet, though, that this option will be added to the iOS/iPadOS app at some point; you can do a feature request on Zoom's website.
I felt this was a good overview for people using computers. I am in need of tutorial for teaching a class using my phone and tripod. The tripod will face down onto the surface of my desk so people can view what I am painting as I speak. Therefore, the students will not be able to access me nor will I be able to see who is present, etc. as the phone will be in place before the lesson begins. Any assistance you can offer would be great, as I am starting to teach this class next week!
Nancy, all you need to do is make sure (before you start) that you are using the correct camera. When you start the meeting, you should see a Switch Camera button on the screen; tap that if you're not seeing the painting. I would suggest that you try it out in an empty meeting before you go live. Good luck!
Thank you. Two questions: 1) Want to host a meeting, a musical presentation. I am not the musician. I want to focus on the musician. I am just the host. How do I do that? 2) This is a single event. I want to have more time and more than 3 attendees. Can I "buy" just one meeting, or do I have to subscribe to a minimum number? Thank you
1. You can use the camera on the back of the device by tapping the symbol on the zoom screen (assuming you are on an ipad or iphone) that looks like a camera with circular arrows inside. Suggest you use a stand to keep the device steady so your viewers don't get seasick. 2. No single meeting option currently, but you can sign up cancel after the first month so it will only cost you $15 or so.
Hey, thank you so much! I get terrible anxiety when video chatting and I have my first meeting tomorrow, so I’m doing a little preparation in advance. This really helped me!

Thank you for posting this video! Can I share audio only (not screen)? I’m playing a meditation for my class and would like to play it from iTunes while in the Zoom meeting. I would like to remain on the screen while playing the audio. Thanks for your help!

@@computersdotmom LOL I'm the teacher. my students are connected to the class via ipad. they can't do the activities they need to drag and drop while I do an activity. Do you have any idea about this?
@@TheDiegopau So they're watching you in Zoom and trying to follow your instructions, but can't do the same thing because they're in zoom, is that it? Not really enough detail to be sure, lots of variables (age of ipad, version of ipados, etc) but if they can do split screen with your zoom call, that might work.
Is it true you can only seen 9 participants (incl. yourself) when using an iPad for Zoom? I.e. 3x3 tiles. If there are more people present, you can’t see them - and if they’re using iPads they maybe can’t see you - depending on luck.

My question was similar. I'm able to pin the video I want by tapping on it... but I need the Spotlight feature. The "Pin: option is for your device only. The Spotlight option will make it the same for all participants. Zoom's Help documents has it as a feature, but I don't see it on my iPad.
