  • Today, we test out the JB4 Tuning Device on our 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor on the dyno at Palm Beach Dyno. We take the Raptor from Map 0, which take it back to stock, and test all the way through Map 5!
    Just like our First Edition 2.7L Bronco, We got some serious increases to the wheel! Overall, we couldn't be more impressed with the JB4's ability and safety.

    Wait until the e85 tunes!

    Did you notice it had a hard limit on boost ? 22 lbs. map 4 made almost 22 and 5 hit 22 early on and wouldn’t increase. What bar map sensor is in the raptor?

    For the recommended e30 blend would it be okay to run just straight e85? I’m guessing anything better than e30 will work?

    Hi there, which of the ECU tunes do you recommend for the Bronco Raptor?

    Do you think the octane booster had enough time/agitation to mix fully in the tank before those runs where it pulled timing? If it was just poured in and straight to a dyno run, id bet you were still on raw pump gas.

    • @Lethalcamp
      @Lethalcamp  Рік тому +1

      We let the bronco run through some gears for a bit on the dyno after adding the octane booster so we believe it was mixed in during the run.

    What wheels are those? Have been looking and love them.

      They're Vossen HF6-5's in a 20x10, -18 Offset spec., finished in Satin Black. Let us know if you have any questions or need help ordering up a set. Thanks!

    Was the exhaust cut outs open or closed

    • @Lethalcamp
      @Lethalcamp  Рік тому +3

      The Braptor was dyno'd in normal mode so the valves were in the normal mode closed position.

    What size tire is on that Bronco Raptor? They look bigger than the bfg 37s

    • @Lethalcamp
      @Lethalcamp  Рік тому

      They are Nitto Ridge Grapplers. 38x13.5x20. They are slightly taller than the stock tires that came on the stock wheels.

    What happens when I wanna buy a bronco with 60k miles on it and they’ve been running map 5 it’s whole life?

    • @jamesk8374
      @jamesk8374 Рік тому +1

      buying any used car is risky however, i believe the jb4 keeps all the factory ecu safety features in tact unlike ecu flashes and will go into limp mode long before anything is damaged so it should be fine.

    • @johnnys.9040
      @johnnys.9040 Рік тому

      @@jamesk8374 nah. ECU flashes are way safer and removing safety parameters is something bad tuners do. JB4 and other piggybacks are garbage on their own, especially if it's on the full boost map all the time. JB4 has been around for years, and all the older BMW guys that have been modifying for years all say it's only good for piggybacking on top of an ECU tune, to control supplemental fueling. Otherwise, ECU tuning is always the way to go.

    • @johnnys.9040
      @johnnys.9040 Рік тому

      Running any piggyback system on the full boost map all the time is dumb, and if it was for 60k miles before you bought it, turbos will be blown, if not replaced already because of it.

    Probably better to just drive to Canada and get a real tune since everyone is hiding from the epa

      I don't believe anyone at the moment has custom tuning support for the Bronco Raptor yet. I know SCT and HPT are working on it but don't believe it's available yet.
