My dude. This is an absolute awesome video/tutorial and just the nudge I've been needing to push ahead with my modifications. I greatly appreciate the time, effort and most importantly clear annunciation of what you say. Looking forward to watching more of your videos soon when time permits. I've like, subscribed and offered real world thanks. Communities are better with kind folks such as yourself selflessly putting in the effort to help others. Thanks bro!
If anybody has documentation on Ford's CAN protocol and device codes you don't need to pay for Forscan or any other tool, open source tools will work just as well. It can be done with a Raspberry Pi with a CAN daughter board. Getting the information needed is the tricky part. I just got a 2023 Bronco, now I'll probably spend the weekend building a CAN sniffer.
A bunch of changes I made were to just 2 or 3 BCM blocks... I wrote it all out on paper before I committed to flashing, just to be sure. I previously made a mistake somewhere, and had one of my signals start out normal then go rapid flash! 🤣🤷
Intriguing. You have a very good understanding of the technological side of the vehicle. My sport also developed a harsh 3 shift and the speed is usually 1-2 km slow. I had no idea it was seemingly that easy to correct. Interestingly my sport came new with the global windows up and down enabled. I wonder if on the Bronco it’s something to do with the removable doors as to why it isn’t factory enabled. Great video
I'd have to check the part number... On the Bronco6G forums, the "Fog light switch" thread is packed with all the info. Ford probably makes 7 or 8 different switch housing that'll fit/work, depending on your options. I have the illuminated mirror ditch lights on my high pack Badlands, so I needed that and both fogs 👍
@@TobyShooks-n2y the one mentioned on the ForScan website. I think they mention 2,actually. A hard-wire USB dingle would be even more reliable I think.
Thank you 👍🏻 Unfortunately, the app doesn't give us the ability to write to the modules. I wonder... Is there a paid version of the app, a Pro version, that let's us do that? 🤔
This is a great video except one thing. None of the codes under BdyCM does not exist. I want to prevent the exterior lights from coming on when you open the door or start the vehicle. How do I do this? I have a 2021 Bronco Sport.
If the option isn't listed in the plain English section, or if nobody know which code that uotion is under, you're on your own. Of course, some people just experiment to try and find what each line does. But I wouldn't recommend that.
That's something you'll need to research. Pretty sure it's blue and white (I still haven't done mine)... All the info you need is over at B6G www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/installing-rear-fog-chase-light-using-factory-switch-harness.46382/page-12
Great video man. Thank you. Maybe you can help with this. I recently replaced my steering rack and now I get a steering assist fault error on my screen and the lane assist does not work on my badlands. Any thoughts on using ODB to tell it there is a new steering rack?
Yeah, it should be as simple as a service function relearn... See if you can see the control module for the power steering in "Service" to reset it or force it into relearn. Apart from that, is it giving you any diagnostic trouble codes?

@@TLOverlander Thank You! New Bronco owner and your videos have been very informative. My wife and I just bought a 2024 Bronco black diamond with the Sasquatch package! Absolutely love it!
The Lonely Overlander, The license is only around $20.00 per year. How much would it have costed you to have this programing work done at a dealer if they even would have done it. I am still running on my 2 month free version but when that runs out I will be getting the paid version. $20.00 is such a small fee plus it supports the owner or owners who created Forscan. I do not want to sound like a dick but sometimes someone needs to.
Yeah, I totally get that... If I was more into experimenting and messing around in there, I'd definitely pay as well. The only reason I renewed my 2 month license was to just do this video. If someone figures out how to get another 50Hp and 10MPG, with it, it'll likely stay unused again for awhile. Thanks for checking out the episode 👍

After updating my tire size, I kept getting a DTC error - I was told to initiate PCM Reset All Adaptations and now the vehicle is running really rough and loud. To make matters worse, I lost the backup as I changed laptops. Anything I can do to reset everything back to factory settings? Thanks.
DTC error was in the PCM? Don't do a reset or relearn on it, you apparently have to run the PCM "service" function. Run RELEARN on the AWD Then clear the DTC
As far as I know, the sound bar install is a software UPGRADE, not a settings change. But you can use ForScan to improve the frequency response from the rear. You'll need the dealer to do the soundbar upgrade as far as I know.
This is my kind of video. Watched the whole video and I don't even own a Ford little long a bronco. Super clear explanation Eric, super powerful tool.
Thanks, Dino...
It definitely is a powerful and dangerous tool!
Thanks for watching 👍

Nice! Bought a forscan last summer but haven't used it yet. Soon enough. Need to get rid of that double beep and calibrate my tires.

What is the best way to revert everything back to factory? Yes, I did make a backup of every "As Built" section.
I've never actually done this... I think you "load" your backed up module, and then just hit the "write" button to flash it back.
@@TLOverlander Yes sir. I ran the module, clicked "Load" and it asked what file, chose the backup and it ran. Worked great. Thanks for your tutorial!

Please have a look at the spreadsheet....
It's been awhile since I did this mod so I can't say off the top of my head.
Spot on
Would you know where I need to go to allow led tails lights on a 23
Switched from halogen
That should be in the body module, the plain English one, if it's anywhere.
Whats the bluetooth scanner are you using?
It's the MX+ (I think it's called)...
Should be a link in the description to the dingles on the ForScan site
