The Halo Infinite review is FINALLY gonna be ready next week!! Just gotta work on the sound design some more! :> I hope you guys are excited!
Yes
Amogus
@UCoPjyFY8myt0c1C5o-2nNOQ you mean second
What if Halo Infinite was an Adult Video Game? (Alternative History)
Let's goooo
"You know I can kill your boss for you right?"
Not all heroes wear capes
But most can kill
YESH PLEASH DOSH ITSH NOWSH!!!
Some wear spacesuits.
Some carry laser guns
some don't wear anything.
This has the same energy as when you unlock the boss as a playable character
Very true
And basically the same energy as *completing every side quest before the first boss*
The boss as a playable character is always way worse
Castle Crashers be like
@Key of unity please shut up
I actually like when games do this since it shows how powerful you’ve gotten.
Except it retroactively devalues the experience of fighting them as a boss to begin with. Instead of "yeah, I beat that tough and unique enemy" it becomes "I beat the common enemy that we see all the time"
@@_Stormfather I personally see it as “wow this creature that was pretty difficult for me is now pretty easy I come far power wise”
@@_Stormfather There's good execution, as with most things. For example Capra and Taurus Demons from Dark Souls feel like they're a menace for the area they're in, because they're so out of place. It's a residential area or a castle wall, and around them you can only find weak zombies. They clearly shouldn't be there, they're like an escaped convict in a kindergarten. And yet, when you later find them en masse, it's only literally in their home city. So even in your second playthrough, the fight still feels important, since they are still dangerous where they are, even though you know they're not the last of their kind. There's still importance to their fights.
Symphony of Night is a good example
Pikmin 2 Snagret hole
The no hesitation on the offer to kill his boss is what got me.
It’s honestly really wholesome that he killed his boss battle’s own boss just to make him happy

@@blakekeating6495 Hello other Alastor
Hey alastor!
Oh Al.
Why are there so many alastors here
Such a wholesome ending they overcame their differences and became good friends brings a tear to a mans eye
Yes, they overcame their differences and murdered the boss.
Better character progression than 99.9% of the crap Leftist Hollywood is making.
then you find out the boss is so weak unlike his bossy self just like anime villains when they turn to friends
but they never had differences that guy was not the boss that he killed he was a different boss
you sound like a forge labs fan... ;)
Unironically, I love it when games do this. As long as it's not directly after fighting the boss, I love seeing them again as normal enemies. It shows that you have grown better and can beat an enemy that used to be hard with ease. Either way, great animation.
Like the Capra Demon
@@andresacosta7885 It's funny, my friend was watching me play Dark Souls and I absolutely clapped the Capra Demon's cheeks so when he appeared later in the underground as a normal enemy I didn't even notice him and destroyed him once more. My friend was like, "Did you recognize that enemy?"
"Nope"
"Oh well, this was supposed to be like a 'Look how far you've come moment'"
@@Dethcat12 Lol
Unless its Dark Souls 2. Then it gets lazy.
It is okay, to a point.
I actually really like when they reuse the boss as the new normal for late game. Start with weak enemies, fight him has a boss, and later that boss is now the normal mob and you feel the progression. You really feel like you progressed, both in ability to play the game, and in your stats. Also saves budget a bit. I just don't want it to be a situation where they just re use the same thing over and over even for boss fights. One thing to convert to normal mob, another to also use it as the big bads late game and multiple times at that.
marauder moment!
I'd also use the Spider Mastermind as another example.
Also cyberdemon, and baron of hell
@@daniellado2523 that was mostly contained in classic doom and… thy flesh consume *shudders*
Almost all bosses in doom basically.
Just a Doom moment in general
Bosses never die, they just get demoted
The CEO boss battle on Toontown be like:
Demoted and cloned
I personally love it when an early or mid range boss becomes a regular enemy. It really makes you feel powerful lime this guy you struggled against is now no more than canon fodder against you.
Your voice acting has no right being this good man honestly props to you
Sugleeorg: *Killed the protagonist's whole space crew*
The Protagonist after killing him the first time: "Stuck in a desk job? ... Want me to kill your boss and get out of here?"
well, how else is he going to get a new space crew?
He just loves killin.
*insert Rick and Morty meme*
He got his revenge. Not everyone deserves hell. Thus, man was redeemed
In other words, sugleeorg probably killed protagonist's boss too
the guy was demoted to a call center after losing, that's a job worse than death
Crucible Knight is a terrifying example of a reused enemy.
wait your joking right, please tell me you are joking
@@bengarrett7077 I’ve fought him three times now. Definitely legit, not running away and using spells.
@@bengarrett7077 he is joking, but not really
@@bengarrett7077 not joking in the endgame you meet him at every corner
@@austinex1250 only 3 times hahaha
This is actually one of my favorite tricks in gaming when it’s done well. It’s a good way to make you feel like you’ve gotten way stronger.
love your format. It makes animating easier and gives it a unique style
Never change. Your art style is PERFECT
Bots
@@AxxLAfriku dick em down for me, champ.
@Don't read my profile photook
"Oh man my first named enemy boss fight. This is gonna be a tough battle."
*Later
"Huh? You again, but I thought I just...oh wait. It's a different guy but the same armor and title."
dark souls and basically any demon
One of the main complaints I see of Elden Ring, yet it isn’t too bad imo. There are enough unique bosses to keep me satisfied.
Also the reused bosses are all side bosses anyway.
@@PrincessSunbutt like boat man or the guy every UA-camr finds
I see people complaining but none of those "bosses" were named. If its not named its not unique. Thats how the summons work, thats the rule.
Those damned erdtree avatars appearing in the endgame like they're a fucking basic enemies
You are the one person that Can cheer me up with funny animations
"Boss reuse is the holy grail of game development" - EA
Nintendo as well, there are some games that resuse the same boss like three times.
@@daniellado2523 nuh uh, they're not the same.
See? This guy is purple and that one is blue, totally different!
Elden ring is like this too lol
god of war 3 BBBBOOOOOYYYY!!!!!
@@Drebolaskan and this one is yellow and has spikes
I loved that thumbs up at the end lol. Quality entertainment
this really cheered me up, i needed that
That happens with almost every boss in The Binding of Isaac, on first floor they are boss room enemies, on later floors you can find 3 versions of the same boss in the same average room as champion forms and you don't struggle killing them thanks to new items.
Even more, some Later Game bosses even summon those bosses as minions!
"You either die as a Boss or live long enough to see your Boss die"
____LEGEND
Kamala Harris: _(Predatory Drooling intensifies)_
I honestly like how this can be used as a narrative tool if done well, to show both player progression and provide a sense of scale to what you're up against.
Say for example in a fantasy game, early on you might deal with a bunch of bandits causing instability, only for the boss giving orders to be a knight in strange armour.
Later on, a different nation might invade, revealing the boss you fought far earlier in the game to just have been a single soldier among many. If done well, this gives more scale to the enemy's plans and how deep their plot goes, without undermining the original fight.
Me after my 6th Tree Sentinel: *How Many Times Do We Have to Teach You This Lesson, Old Man?!*
Enemies can unite when the condition of tyranny is met.... or the condition of you ruined a perfectly good encounter
The boss is really powerful when u fight it but as a character it’s horrendous
Vldl has a skit about that.
Tartaglia
Vergil
I love how this has a happy ending! Possibly the happiest it could have :)!
10/10 this is so wholesome. I wish I could like this twice
1:19 that guy is so cool, he can thumbs up and down at the same time? No wonder they made him a boss fight!
There's this one game called ninjin: clash of carrots. There's a cutscene in it where after beating a boss they visit the big bad and the big bad tells them "you are being demoted to... common enemy!"
Ninjin: clash of carrots?? you just made that up 🤣
@@Corusame real game, I bought it off the switch e-shop, surprisingly fun
That was amazing. I honestly never saw that twist ending coming
Beautiful. The end made m,e smile geniunly
I loved seeing mini bosses become regular enemies (especially in RPG's), really makes you feel like you've progressed as a character
When the villian and the protagonist team up against an evil, greater villian is always nice to see.
The "yes please do it now!" got me 😂
That was awesome. Made me smile.
I don't know what I expected, but this exceeded any expectations I could've possibly had
0:16 Can we have an extended version of this music? It's actually really good.

This was incredible!
Re-watching this video, got your elder ring video as an ad right before this vid started
Yeeeee
ur first
nice job first guy
So pretty much every boss in the early floors of the tboi
One of my favorite videos. 😂
I love you’re voice acting it’s so
funny.
I'm looking at you Doom...
This is true in so many games
Doom?
@@HeLlOThErE-ch9il at least doom can do that without having no reason to.
This has no right to be so uplifting.
If only real bosses could be dispatched just like this.
Ah, Capra demon. No matter how many times I play DS, entering that boss room really gives me the shivers.
After that, though...
dont forget taurus
@@stupidchild7031 You're right! I dread that guy a little less, but he's still really valid!
This is like if Doomguy became friends with a Doom Hunter after killing the first 3 bosses
Circletoons is the man we need in games epik player
I like the view of feeling bad for them instead, which is a good point, especially if they used to be a terrifying boss. I’m glad the hero could help em out. Very wholesome.
It's a very obvious reuse of assets, but it still makes me feel powerful being able to easily take down what was previously a powerful boss
Basically Body Double Mistral and Monsoon in a nutshell.
You are surprisingly good at foreshortening
I love it when boss’ become random enemies like the Bell Gargoyles or the Kapra demon, it makes it feel like they’re part of a bigger ecosystem
Isn’t this just the Capra Demon from Dark Souls 1?
taurus too
Or you get a risk of rain 2, scenario and it’s just scaled up till you can 1 shot the boss from 5 levels ago
This video is gold
This is why I like you your humor is not mean it’s just funny
The Marauder stayed a problem for most even after becoming a regularly appearing enemy. But then the Doom community did what it does best and found ways to absolutely obliterate even multiple Marauders at once in the most impressive and humiliating lol
I used to not like this aspect about Souls games because it felt lazy, primarily in the first Dark Souls because they sort of just drag-and-dropped them in, but with Elden Ring I think they figured out a way to make them defined enough as encounters to warrant integrating them in later areas. Copy and pasted bosses however still aren't all that exciting, even with a couple new moves, unless they're in the overworld.
havent been able to play elden ring, but i think it worked in dark souls when they reused the gargoyles in anor londo but failed when they reused capra and taurus demons in demon ruins
Genuinely though, that is some amazing voice talent-
This did NOT go where I expected but I loved it
Aww, he looked so happy in the end!
I actually like when some bosses turn out to just be another enemy. It lends importance to your journey as a hero where at one point everyday creatures were boss battles and now those bosses are everyday creatures.
such a heartwarming tale of tragedy and camaraderie
What a wholesome video
"Yes please do it now!" Desperation only the 9 to 5 can bring.
this has inspired me to complete a certain action
That's so crazy man, this exact thing heppened to my buddy Eric.
I always liked seeing bosses getting reused as normal enemies because it shows how far I've come in the game.
That last panel was just so wholesome.
Dude, Slugeeorg built up so much character so quickly that I hope I see him again.
You should do "When you forget one tiny side quest for the true ending, so you get the normal ending instead"
Circle would be able to write and design a pretty interesting game
It’s like the marauder in doom eternal, you get this whole cutscene with a boss fight, just to fight 10 in the same room 5 minutes later
That scream fading at the end was a nice touch
A true hero 👍
Now he joins your party!
The boss of the office then gets reused as another regular enemy
"you know i can kill your boss for you right?"
Thank you kind warror.
And they all lived happily ever after
I like how I get an ad animated and voiced by circletoons at the beginnng of the video.
I love your voice acting dude
Reminds me of the big quadruped geth in the first mass effect and the mecha tank things in the original iron man game.
In mass effect, the fight time you fight it it's so imposing. But then you come across like 2 or 3 more but basically always in mako so u can just run them over.
I was surprised to find out there was more than one in the game when I read the wiki just cause I never really noticed they where the same.
In the iron man game I remember it being hard, a few upgrades and a rematch later and hes not so tough, shows up 1 or 2 more times and tony even remarks that "I remember when you used to be scary."
Stitch asks for his boss to be dead...
Great video today
Some of the best ways this is done is when the boss is completely unchanged from when you first encounter them to show how far you've come since then
The blood-curdling scream makes this entire video for me
I really like this trope, gives a feeling of progression in my opinion.
Circle toons was really nice to him
What a nice space dude 😎
They use this technique in rougelikes a lot and I actually love it because it shows how much more powerful you’ve become since the boss fight
this one of my favorites of yours. a true lol
that thumbs up at the end. perfect
Why is this man so good at slime creature voices
