wow, the layering part was great! im able to get the most out of my luts already! thank you!
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I've been working forever on getting the right contrast and color with resolve's film emulation luts but was never able to, until now.
Thank you! I`ve been looking for this a long time.

Hello thanks again for master piece color grading
Amazing técnica!
I needed this video so bad haha!
THANK YOU SO MUCH
this is amazing
This is freakin cool!! Nice one. Thanks!
Amazing, thanks
A very good technique! I rarely use luts for my productions as I create my own look for each project and copy and paste that node after my log or raw conversion node and color correction node. However if I do use a creative lut in future projects I will use this clever method.
This is really good . had this in my mind for a while
Really appreciate tNice tutorials. Thankyou brother
thank you so much dude you're a god
WOW losr, you really opened my mind as what a LUTS is LOL what a morrron
Mindblown
Holy cow I really needed this thank you
The beginning of this video has CRAZY METRO VIBE :)) I mean the game series, from the voice to the autumn railroad track.
Very smart !
Just found the channel, if all your video are this informative I'm sticking around.
Very informative
thanks
Amazing
Very techinal for newbies like myself in filmmaking but so damn good and simple to understand subscribed would you ever be open to doing iPhone log footage contrast tutorial like this?
Whoa 🤯
You guys are the best, honestly, I need a 101 with you guys... thanks
Amazing, so now i don't need to shoot log if i like my contrast already.
This is really clutch! Thx ya for this 🙏🏾. By any chance do you film title template for davinci resolve for sale?
yes
Nice.
Great
I purchased colorist factory and I absolutely love but I’m having issues with the color shift could you please help.
what if you want to bring the percent of the lut?
that "voila"
Anyone know the background music used? It spoke to me !!!
Is there a way to to separate a LUT’s colour & contrast in FCPX?
Anyone could explain how to achieve this in Premiere Pro for example?
i wish you have tutorial in pr too :(
Id like to ask what pfe volume should i buy if i only use sony a7iii and lower models.
This kind of technique is similar when we put a layer in Color mode in Photoshop?
Can you do this is premiere?
do i always have to do correction before the rec709 or lut? sometimes people do this before and sometimes after. im confused
Can one do this on FCPX?
where can i get the colorist tool kit? it says the page doesn't exist
Ooor I can just use FilmConvert which has separate contrast and color control, and not to mention no rec709 intermediate step. But this is good info!
Filmconvert is good. Some film profiles arent accurate though.
brooo. can i apply this in premiere pro? do a tutorial pls!
how to make it on Premiere ?
WOW
Does it matter what type of footage I apply the LUT? Can be Canon, Sony, smartphone footage? Tks.
Nice trick! Anyway, I was always under the impression that look LUTs should go before the conversion. Can you please clarify?
i'd personally apply the LUT before the conversion as well.
it just seems this was done just for the demonstration since it was their final step.
LUTs should best go after the conversion. You can experiment and see the result. When luts comes before conversion, making fine adjustments becomes a pain to work with.
Amazing! Is there any way to do this on Final Cut?
Or in any other editing software for that matter?
What's with the Funeral music?
Wow
How to do this in Final Cut Pro X?
Have you found out how? I’d love to know!
👌💯🥇
Does setting the blendmode (on the LUT adjustement layer) to color achieve the same thing in Premiere ?
try it and let us know how it goes. it should work the same,
since a bleach bypass look also works that way as well.
I tried myself and nope, it’s not the same
@@AdrianCohorta Yep I'm getting weird color shifts that aren't there with the lut on normal.
@@MrGnagnagnou what exactly did you do? i’m thinking it might work if you duplicate the footage and add the lut on the duplicate, then change the blending mode to add. as opposed to using it on an adjustment layer. if not then, let’s keep the discussion going until someone figures it out
Great information!!! 🙏 But hey, die Stimme kennt man doch🤔
Why do I always prefer the before than the after? Weird.
voila ✌✌✌
The comparison you should be showing is
The LUT applied to log footage
And…
The LUT applied after a CST (as a mixer node with colour composite mode on)
This colour composite mode is messy. Will mess with your footage in ways which are uncontrollable.
Contrast will effect your hues as luminance changes the colour value
!
This just confused the EFF out of me…..lol
Stop saying this is a secret method. Lol. Also half of the info is very simplified. As always. Only showing real world footage is another problem.
I see you coming from a lot of boring live streams with non-clickbaity titles, ain't how stuff works on youtube. If you're offended, stop watching the stuff lol. It ain't conceptually wrong like a shit ton of youtube filmmakers out there.
it was a secret to me, because i've always struggled with luts ruining my image
@@karliemorris7318 same here. 😂😂
Why’d you use a still from The Tree of Life for the thumbnail?
