The worst engine ever? Or is it not so bad?

- I was told by many this engine was blasted with paint 😜 yes in fact it was 😆. I did just clean it up by a simple few quick wipes of acetone. so not horrible but annoying. when you buy a motorized bicycle kit it shouldn't be a long painful road to being able to use what you purchased.

😂 yes I found the spark plug! I wanted to add this! This was a requested review from subscribers. Apparently the paint bricked a few engines? Not sure how it would though.
Just don't buy the painted version! Lol it really was a pain to remove all the paint on mounting surfaces
I've had a few black painted triple 40's where they sprayed the inside of the head and also straight over the exhaust gasket
Real pain the ass 😂 they do it to hide imperfections in the castings I guess!
Damn your neighbors must have you lol just like mine probably do…I try to only run bikes around reasonable hours but I still get dirty looks here and there.
Yeah I actually normally run bikes with silencers on them I ride around. This one will be a trail rider so not going to bother. 😜👍
Wow the blowdown window on that is just nuts. Did you measure it? Looks like it was designed to work with a totally un-optimized exhaust.
It runs like bat out of hell. Just left it stock and sent it. Put a generic belly pipe on it. Other then that left it all stock. People said this motor was pure trash so I figured we try one 😂. Honestly running great!

I checked nothing for a sprocket. Using another one anyhow. Yeah horrible paint job lol 😆 it's like they finger painted it !

I have two of them years ago. They were both great. I ported them but they ran a long time. Still have them though. One needs a cylinder and other cranks connecting rod bear blew.
The engine seems fine after all the pain removal time. It wasn't as bad as most said it was. Paint cleanup was annoying though

@@BuildBreakFix yeah I agree, paint is easy fix too. So a bad rap I understand cause a lot of people just don’t understand the simplest things to fix stuff cause they don’t have a basic understanding of how things work together. But as a whole I thought they were solid for the price especially what I paid two years ago.
I had one of those 80 cc engines and the wrist pin snapped when going half throttle had to peddle two miles home grease the pin and bearing
Yours wasn't as bad as mine close shity paint job on mine they over sprayed the cylinder a little but painted the surfaces of where the exhaust gasket and intake gasket and they painted the inside of the head I tried paint thinner and remover should have tried acetone but anyway you got yours running sounds like just got to set the idel and ride it around and see what happens ride safe thanks for sharing
I know I heard of many nightmare stories like yours. Where spray cylinder so much it's stuck

What's your thoughts on that two peace exhaust mine splatters oil on my boot while riding and also your never gonna hit the pipe with it if at all possible to begin with
I have not had them leak any oil yet. But maybe this one I'll get lucky 😆
Yeah the paint was horrible tho, it was on the piston on both i got n on cylinder wall on one a lil. It’s just a cheap kit. I paid $80 for each full kit. But for that price I expected to fix stuff. I mean I feel like people don’t get how cheap even a $200 kit is when you consider all you need is a bike and you have a get to motorcycle so to speak. Like that’s cheap transportation and if you want it to be reliable you just need to learn how to make them better. I did have to put M8 stud in for mounts. But all in all very solid.

Just 32:1 from birth till death 😆
A little paint thinner will take that off the piston

Ceramic paint. It will tear the hell out of the cylinder walls as it heat cured

You can buy af80 kit e-bay for 90 dollars and paint yourself
That isn't the point. People bought this, many* told me it was horrible and blah blah. So I bought one like people asked me to. That is what showed up. I don't honestly have a use for it. Just is a requested item to use try and see if an be fixed. Simple acetone worked just fine

I got told they sucked! Over 50 people now lol honestly after cleaning up all the slobbering of paint the engine was a good runner.
