Ok Guardianship, I'm being treated for early onset dementia w/ a TBI in a controlling environment caring for my mother who has late stage Alzheimer's. Any suggestions? 😊

Find someone to potentially be your POA/guardian and someone to do the same for your mother. Plan ahead so that both of you receive the care and support you need.

We have my wife’s parents in their 80s and one is completely capable and the other is bed ridden. Hard to figure out the right place for them! He can’t care for her and I’m pretty sure he doesn’t want to as far as bathroom problems.

If you are thinking of placing them in a care community, find one that has the different levels of care that they need. They could live in different parts of the community and he could go visit her. If this is a home situation then caregivers for her (that aren't family) so that he can be a husband and not a caregiver. I know it's complicated.
