    You done an awesome job. A quick helpful point. Remove one of the bolts holding the foot peg and loosen the other. Now you can rotate it out of your way and get that final torx on the derby cover and /or the bolt on the cable. It is amazing how much money you can save by learning to do simple tasks on your bike. Happy Riding.

      I agree 100%! Having to pay for parts and labor can get very expensive. Especially if you do it at the dealership. About the foot peg, believe me, I tried I couldn’t get that bolt loose 🥲 I think I need better tools.

    You and I both need a garage 😀 I live in Texas and right now it's 110° so a garage and fan will help Big Time. Doing repairs on car or bike always have to gather all tools if I have to go inside for something cause they will walk away 😊 thanks for the video 👍🏼👍🏼

    Better when taking off the derby cover to undo each bolt crossways, ( the bolt's opposite to each other) and not in a circle ( the bolt's next to each other), and get into the habit of doing that with any cover or where there a bolt's surrounding an engine part.
    You did well threading the cable back into the clutch engine cover, that can be tricky 😊

    I'm not 100% sure on this as not yet a HD owner (soon I hope!) however, is that a groove on the derby cover to have aligned with where your clutch cable comes out? You might have to spin that around to the left a bit more to align it better. 11:16 - Apologies if that's not the case, just looks like an indentation for it.

    Hi sis. Your iron bike is great. I want to ask you a question. I want to buy Harley Davidson 883 super low or iron 883. What do you think I should do?

    • @thatmotogal
      @thatmotogal  10 місяців тому +1

      In my opinion, you can’t go wrong with a Sportster. I love mine. They stopped manufacturing them recently, but you’ll still be able to get a bunch of parts and do lots and lots of mods :)

    • @dannyn6850
      @dannyn6850 10 місяців тому +1

      All depends on your preference. They both perform the same, just cosmetics. Super Low sits the lowest, hence the name super low, with a ground clearance of just under 4" and seat height of 27" I think ? and it comes with the chrome engine, ect. Iron 883 has a ground clearance of 5.5" and seat height is 29" and comes completely murdered out black. I personally have a iron 1200, absolutely love it. I'd go 1200 instead of 883 as well. just as easy as a 883 and you're going to want the extra power eventually, specially on highway. the only thing the super low wins at is having a higher fuel capacity at 4.5 Gal compared to 3.3Gal on a Iron.

    • @thatmotogal
      @thatmotogal  10 місяців тому +1

      @@dannyn6850 this is true. You can customize them however you want though. My iron 883 has a seat height of 26” so it’s super low. I also got the Hooligan Kit by S&S Cycle and made it 1200. I haven’t done anything about the tank but at least it’s not a peanut tank 😅

    • @dannyn6850
      @dannyn6850 10 місяців тому +1

      @@thatmotogal Bet that S&S kit made a world of a difference, my cousin wants to do it on his 883 too. I can't stand the 3.3 tank, definitely going 4.5 someday. The customization options are endless with sportys, people can give it all the crap they want, but they're bulletproof, light and fun to throw around.

    • @thatmotogal
      @thatmotogal  10 місяців тому +1

      @@dannyn6850 I agree 100%. The Sportster is already a classic in my opinion. Yes! The kit made a big difference. Super happy with it. My pipes are from S&S too, great combo. I’ll get the air filter from them soon.
