This was the first song I heard from KISS....I was chocked and just..taken. In the 70th...a 7 year old boy I was. This was the best I very ever heard, screaming out from a very small cassette recorder. I was totally stunned. And then when seeing the Posters. Now this was the ROCK N ROLL for real. And hearing Paul and Genes lead on shout it out loud, then followed by the great records, Love gun and all others, and hearing Ace and Peter singing also made a big impact. I was and are still a BIG KISS fan. Great music and great personalities and now legendary. The biggest and best Rock band in history.
Peter was always this way. If memory serves me right, it was either Paul or Gene, I think it was Paul, wrote about how (paraphrasing) that for most competent drummers, playing with them live, you can lean back on them. If you're ever getting a little lost or something, you can play to the drummer drummer, find your spot, and it will sound good. They form the foundation.. But playing with Peter was like having someone run up alongside you, rather than having a foundation/structure to rely on. Peter would push the tempo and power. If you weren't keeping pace, he'd run ahead of you. I think this gave the band chemistry.
Nothing will ever beat this line up of the original line up!!!
Some of the best Rock and Roll at its peak in history.
