The night this aired, my cousin came over and told me we had to stay up for the Midnight Special. When I saw this I was blown away. As a 12 year old, it was almost too much to take, but I loved it! Almost 50 years later, and I still love it!
I'm a KISS fan from way back. This era (75/76) was KISS at their best. It's awesome that clips like this exist, and show you how great they were onstage. All 4 members pulling their weight, and they're clearly a top functioning 4-man unit. There would be lots of great music ahead, but this is KISS at their best.
Back when Kiss was a band and not a brand.
the ONLY good Kiss...is Ace in Kiss.
KISS wasn't always respected at the beginning of their popularity, but they had a Hall Of Fame lead guitarist.
Back when the world was right.

I can't believe my eye's, a cameraman who knows who the lead guitarist is !
Man, what a great band KISS was when they were young and hungry. This performance is special.
Ace is killin it here!
Even after all of these years, that riff is a sledgehammer!
Ace…..the most talented member of KISS.
Ace’s shoulder shimmy at
This was the KISS that was young, hungry and driven. What rock n roll was all about.
These early performances are gold!
The energy that put KISS on top.
I love Ace and how he zone's in for the solos. I dare say his input was a key ingredient in their sound and stage presence. Cool post.
Ace doesn’t get the props he deserves for being a melodic influential guitarist

The boys could really rock back in the day. And Ace's vibrato is so good. Nice and wide with perfect pitch. Love it!
One of the most awesome rock and roll performances EVER. Nothing like young, raw KISS.
These guys were a F'n steamroller during this period. There was no stopping them!
