I always think that Andrew could totally be Ben's little brother. Even the vibrato, body language and facial expressions are so similar that it's kinda creepy...

You are so right. I have seen the show a few times and the one takeaway is that the younger the performer who play “Evan” appears, the more sympathetic the character seems. That is one of the reasons the movie fell flat. (That and they changed the story and characters).

As a theater geek I have to say one thing: when I was younger, I didn’t think I’d love Dear Evan Hansen is much as I do, but when I saw the performance, I cried. Not just because of the actors, the songs, or even the props, but because of the message. People in the world need shows like this! I can’t wait to see what lays ahead in the theatrical world!

I cant help but want bens voice for this. His take on the vocals are unmatched. But, I still expect them to get even better with time. Plus, Ben had years and years of experience.

I didn’t think I’d like the new cast very much, but I was proven wrong. I like how the cast is/closer to high school age. I really like how they did that. Don’t get me wrong, I love Ben Platt as Evan Hansen, but it gets me happy that there are some teens in it instead of mainly adults

Vibrato is more of a natural thing and it’s hard to control, but yes a lot of them have imitated how ben played evan

All of the Evans have like really similar voices and it’s very impressive and they still have little parts that are different and they all look so different

I saw one his first shows and was at his final Evan Hansen show. Amazing. So happy to see he’s getting the stardom he definitely deserves. *i also saw him at a Comic Con panel with other members of Evan Hansen. He’s so humble and just so talented.

@Marissa Finney Yes. Andrew is leaving in late January (the 24 or 26 I think), as well as Alex Boniello (who plays Connor), to be replaced by David Jeffrey.
