I've been using the Bellroy Card Holder for a few years now and I absolutely love it. The magnets are fun to fidget with but they're never fiddly when I'm actually getting into my stuff. I also like that there's just two slots that way I don't end up filling up my wallet with shit I don't need, but if I do need to I can throw in a couple extra cards or something and it doesn't suddenly make the wallet super bulgy.
Yup I've had mine for many years as well! I purchased another wallet called the tight wallet TGT because it has elastic. I wrapped it around my secrid to give myself a place to put my cash

Hey, I like your designs in the Millenial and the Commuter! If I were to recommend one thing, I'm in need of a wallet that can contain 3 cards, license/ID, and cash slot. If you wanted a new wallet idea, something that could hold all of those, especially the cash part, I would snatch it up instantly. + I love bifolds, and the aspects of the commuter had slight turn offs to me, specifically the slide out thing. The Chums double zippered surfer wallet is my current fav for functionality. Although ive eyed Belroys waterproof wallets a time or 2 as thats what I really want. A slim zippered waterproof or Highly water resistant wallet with a little bit of aesthetic.
You forgot Secrid wallets. The functionality, durability, aesthetics, and reliability make it hands down one of the best, if not THE best wallets out there.
I agree with what you said about the Ridge. Its all just just muscle memory. I always have to remove all cards to get any card but it’s like dealing with a deck of cards, it all becomes second nature. Definitely requires two hands though.
I've used the Vaulskin zip for about 3 years now. Keep a small notepad and pen inside. Best wallet I've ever used. Thanks for the video Chase! Just dig your videos man, wallets, packs, pouches and advice, love the advice brother.
The hunt to find the perfect wallet has taken me down a very expensive rabbit hole. Here are a few front pocket wallets I have recently purchased: Trayvax , Dango, Cedar Grove Leather, Hitch and Timber, Saddleback and Open Sea Leather.
Nice review. It's so hard to choose just one. For the hard wallets, I like the Ridge and the Akeeni. I'd probably go with the Akeeni because it's less expensive. For soft, I like the Bellroy. But the others are nice, too.
I love my Nero wallet for cards, a flexible elasticated wallet with great NFC protection and really comfortable in the pocket. I got a matching simple zipped pouch from someone on Etsy, since over here we need coins, not just notes.
Been using the Trayvax Summit. Just a nice piece of metal with a strap to hold cards/cash in. Pings the airport scanners but it hasn't been confiscated.
Im a Belroy guy - I have an arctic blue Note Sleeve wallet - awesome. I carry everything in a tri-color Belroy Classic backpack- electronics organized in a Belroy Tech Kit, toiletries and sundries in a Belroy Classic Pouch, art supplies in a Belroy Pencil Case, keys in a Key Cover Plus- all color coordinated cause that's how I roll. Wheee! I'm a Belroy Shill! Throw in a hoody and rain jacket, a Swiss army knife and mini flash lite, and my 13" MBP and it comes in around 10lbs with room for my camera and a lens if it starts raining. A feller could have himself a pretty good weekend in Vegas with all this stuff!
Simplicity is key. Shout out to Waterfield Design for their micro zipper pouch wallet. Lockdown zipper and the pouch gives you limitless options of what you throw inside but small enough to stay uncluttered. Keep doing what you're doing Gary...and Chase!
There is a great co here in AUS that makes very slim bifold with 4 Card slots and space for the plastic cash we use here. Best part is they are made from recycled Merc seats. The leather from old car seats. Very thin. Very robust. Serves me well.
I have been using the the Ridge wallet for more than 2 years now. I like the fact that it has RFID blocking, it is very slim, I don't feel it in my front pocket. I have the old version so it just has an elastic strap, the cash sits there perfectly. I carry 7 cards no problem. I put my business cards externally under the cash, with time the top business card gets worn out in my pocket, but it is not a big deal. Unfortunately, I do have the carbon fiber version not the metal one. Sadly the thumb push out curve or the knob is the weakest point of the wallet. The Fiber carbon layer broke in my pocket exactly where the screw is. I discovered there is another layer under the carbon fiber layer so I crazy glued it, and it doesn't show. I would definitely buy a new Ridge wallet, but this time a metal one for sure. I highly recommend it.
Threads wallets are nice and minimal card wallets. You can fit probably 3-4 cards. It has an elastic front pocket which is nice for cash. Great for front pocket carry.
Hi Chase, I've essentially been using the same wallet for the past 25 years from Kenneth Cole. It looks like... they no longer make wallets. The reason I've stuck with it for so long is that it was the best quality one I could find with the following features: - Bi-Fold for most of my cards and cash - A removeable ID sleeve that can I can use when I don't anticipate needing all the rest of the other cards / cash. Some of the seams are starting to come undone, so I'm looking for options. The only drawback of this wallet has been that it's a bit on the bulky side. It's a little longer than it needs to be, and instead of the single cash pocket, it's got THREE. Now that I'm no longer a kid out of college, I'd like to find something that's a bit more refined. But wallets these days don't seem to have this option anymore. Have you seen any you might recommend? The perfect wallet for me would be: - Slim leather bi-fold with a removeable ID sleeve - I've seen ID sleeves with the plastic window that extends edge-to-edge. These tend to break rather quickly. Would be nice to have the plastic window to have a leather bezel to protect it - Single cash pocket is fine. Double is ok too, but three cash pockets starts getting a bit much. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Really digging the woven Bellroy Slim Sleeve. Recycled nylon with a unique, almost canvas feel to it. I think it is as your Transit pack video that initially turned me on to them.
Wooooo first comment! Hi Chase. Aside from being first... check out the Slimfold wallet when you get a chance. It was a Kickstarter a while back I think. He started with Tyvek which was surprisingly durable, but now has this proprietary stretchy fabric that's amazing. I've been using using probably 5+ years.
I searched comments before posting my own... always surprised I never see the Slimfold in 'minimal wallet roundups'. I've also had mine (the Mirco Soft Shell) for 7+ years - everyday, all over the world and at sea... some stitching has come undone but still in great shape. It's still hands down the best front wallet ever. I bought another 4 years ago as an eventual replacement hah haven't needed it yet. I had the tyvek before that and literally wore a hole (2 years of use?) where the cards rubbed in the corner.
Oft-overlooked benefit of wallets like the Bellroy Note: they're sized to hold all international currencies. Your standard "minimal" wallet becomes an awkward mess if you ever try to slip a few Euros or Vietnamese Dong in there.
I bought an Akeeni wallet and I love it. Save for my cards bend when I don't have my wallet full of cash. I can still get them out and everything but overtime getting the bottom card out has become a little troublesome. Great feeling in my pocket but that last card does take a small trick to get it out. Not a big deal or a deal breaker but it's a great wallet for me.
I’ve been using a Makr Angle wallet for a long time. Love it! Great leather, great patina. It’s so nice to see the peek of a card, but so many other options!
Love it, thanks Chase - I just can't get in to the hard wallets as the corners can dig in to my leg - I have been using a Smartwallet bi-fold for years now. (the Tyvek ones) They will wear out eventually but I easily get 2+ years out of one.
I’m waiting until the next iPhone release to upgrade and really like the Bellroy case but I can’t live without wireless charging so I think I’m going to have to go with a magsafe wallet :(
Dude, you could sell water to a fish. Good job on these videos. Anyways, I need a wallet where I can flip ID out all the time and has a little change purse in it- I feel like all of these wallets are impractical. I'm not sure if this answers your question; but I typically carry a spyderco PM2 or the Yojumbo as a pocketknife, leatherman MUT as a multi-tool, Amazon Basics Notebook to take meeting notes/studying or Leuchtturm1917 (medium and their smallest one) and the tombrow airpress or Pilot Dr Grip Centre of Gravity pen. Obviously it depends on what I'm doing (i.e. work or casual)
I use a SecurID wallet with a leather cover. It fits in my front pocket, and I love it. It is one of those RFID metal pop up wallets. I put my cards with the chip side up and I can pay without removing the card. Because of COVID I haven’t been on the Metro, Train or Bus here in Denmark so I am not carrying that card. I have to carry my equivalent of my green card, license, health card, and a bank card. The leather part I carry my University ID
I'm feeling pretty bummed you left out my #1 choice: The Chums Surfshort Wallet. Light. Minimal. Carries everything AND I can buy 12 and still have money left over compared to Bellroy.
Wow all those wallets and no mention of the hawbuck carbon fiber wallet. The best I've tried it is so light and comfortable. The only one I was interested in out of that group is the pioneer wallet. Just my preference.
Hey buddy when to comes to the ridge wallet practice makes perfect. I have tons of wallets and the Ridge wallet by far is the easiest Walet for cards to come in and out of. When you pull out your credit cards from your Ridge wallet you need to push it up with your finger and then fan them out not pull all your cards out. It takes practice but once you perfect it’s super easy and will become one of your favorites.
travaxx? Secrid? Opps now i read below. I've had mine for 3 years and its still brand new. Been in a pool with it a few times. I'm shocked actually because there is some glue inside holding the bill fold to the metal. And i agree with others, heard of it before Ekster
What about Grip 6?! There wallets are super cool! They are fun and easy to use!!! You can get different colors as well, I recommend Grip 6 wallets over any other wallet!!!
Well in India we have UPI. So all we need is phone for money transfer or show our ID on phone. Reason to not buy phone wallet. Although standalone wallets would be good since I regularly install custom roms so cash and hard copy I'd would be better
I'm liking the look of the Pioneer Carry slim. I would prefer a nonleather wallet because I don't like the way leather wears, not a fan of the patined leather look.
love this! always a fan of wallets. I've been using my The Frenchie Co Speed Wallet Mini which i LOVEEEEE! highly recommend you to check it out if you haven't!
23:06 I have had the Bellroy Note series for couple of years now and for the life of me I have not noticed that secret pocket. I guess Bellroy did a good job keeping that pocket hidden 🤣

Agree. I do love Makr's results! without the price tag.
Love it, thanks Chase - I just can't get in to the hard wallets as the corners can dig in to my leg - I have been using a Smartwallet bi-fold for years now. (the Tyvek ones) They will wear out eventually but I easily get 2+ years out of one.
You need to check out the from the sea wallets still my favorite! Support a us sailor.
I’m waiting until the next iPhone release to upgrade and really like the Bellroy case but I can’t live without wireless charging so I think I’m going to have to go with a magsafe wallet :(
Anvil customs money clip wallet is the best minimalist wallet IMO
I am a big fan of wallets
thanks a lot for your video :)
Love the video! Any update on the podcast?
love that popov wallet 👌👍
My favorite is by Secrid, have had multiple small wallets with them for years
You should try mous case with their wallet attachment then have tough cases and good quality
Hello!
Can you name one bifold wallet made of full grain leather which will last forever?
Thanks
You should check out some Hitch and Timber products Chase I think they'd be right up your alley.
You should check out the Ashland Fat Herbie. Large but thin. Holds a ton of cards and has a unique outer pocket for cash.
You can get different colors as well, I recommend Grip 6 wallets over any other wallet!!!
chase my brutha, you forgot to show the coolest thing about the Bellroy Hide and Seek - the hidden compartment inside the hidden bill pocket!
Well in India we have UPI.
So all we need is phone for money transfer or show our ID on phone.
Reason to not buy phone wallet.
Although standalone wallets would be good since I regularly install custom roms so cash and hard copy I'd would be better
I have an air wolf in some synthetic fabric
My current wallet situation is a green leather craft n lore card wallet and a Duluth elastic wallet as a money clip I
Pls test the garzini magic coin wallet vest wallet ever
This is my first time discovering your channel and I must say I love the way this video was structured, great stuff
I'm liking the look of the Pioneer Carry slim. I would prefer a nonleather wallet because I don't like the way leather wears, not a fan of the patined leather look.
Bellroy sure does know their pull out game…
love this! always a fan of wallets. I've been using my The Frenchie Co Speed Wallet Mini which i LOVEEEEE! highly recommend you to check it out if you haven't!
I have the trifold and its my favorite!
Question: Do you people seperate coins and paper bills in two different places?
You should check out the RadixOne Steel. It’s a “sandwich” type wallet. SUPER durable and MUCH lighter than I expected.
1:12 was amazing😄
I ordered the bellroy!!!!!!!

I have had the Bellroy Note series for couple of years now and for the life of me I have not noticed that secret pocket. I guess Bellroy did a good job keeping that pocket hidden 🤣
